4 Hot Mamas take on the World 9/2011! *UPDATE 8/31* I'm leaving TODAY!!!

Kat, Angie, and I haven't really discussed details for our trip... other than what parks to visit and where we'll be eating (which, really, is the most important part, LOL!)

(Just to recap: Kat and Angie are staying at POP from 8/26 to 9/4. I will fly to Orlando on Wednesday evening, staying Thursday, Friday, and Saturday with them)

Here are the plans we have (so far):

Thursday
MK in the morning
park hop to Epcot sometime in the afternoon/evening
dinner at Rose & Crown (hoping for patio seating so we can watch IllumiNations)

Friday
AK in the morning
park hop to Epcot
dinner at Teppan Edo

Saturday
HS in the morning
lunch at 50s Prime Time Cafe
park hop to MK

MK and HS have morning EMH and Epcot has evening EMH, so I'm sure we'll take advantage of those. I've decided I'm going to go with the flow on this leg of my trip... whatever Kat and Angie have in mind to see/do, I'm all for it!

Also, I'm excited about our meals at R&C and TE... this will be my first visit to both of those! (I have been to 50sPTC, but I'm excited about that one, too) I've checked out the menu for R&C and can't decide between the Sunday Roast or the Guinness Stew! But I do have 3 months, 2 weeks, and 1 day to make my decision ;)

Where to eat is one of the most important parts, it's a favorite part of the planning for me! The biggest problem is there's way too many places I want to try and not enough days to try them in! :rotfl: R&C is one such spots. I'll be looking to see your impressions of it when you get back. You do still have time to decide, and you'll go back and forth on your decision a million times before you actually get there!

Ummmm...I must have forgotten to tell you that I have changed those reservations

Should I tell you what they are now...or just surprise you when you read that part of my update?

Oops ;)

"Oops" is right!

Oooooo, part of me wants to be surprised... but the other part of me can't stand to not know! GAH!

Saturday
HS in the morning
lunch at 50s Prime Time Cafe
park hop to MK

Ha! We'll be at DHS Saturday for EMH too, if that's the 27th. Gotta take advantage of that extra hour to get TSM in!!! Gonna hop to MK for MSEP that night too. :goodvibes

R&C is yummy, we're going Monday for dinner, but then again, maybe you're not going there anymore???

I admit to giggling this morning when I got your text! I actually just tried to call you. But...I am teaching most of today, so I'll tell you later today. Oh, the suspense!

(And just to set your mind at ease...it's only one change. But...which one is it??)

Love the plans and going with the flow for the first part of the trip! :thumbsup2

I was going to say nice ADRs but then read that they have been changed, lol!!! I look forward to seeing what the new ADRs are and how you reacted to the surprise element!

Great plans for the first part of the trip! :cool1: Rose and Crown is so good, I was looking at the menu recently, and I kind of want the 2 things you mentioned also! :rotfl2:

No, this will be Sept. 3rd. :(

It actually feels nice to not be in the driver's seat for this part of my trip, LOL! I figured if I didn't get a chance to see or do something on the 1st part of my trip, no big deal... I'll have 4 other days in the parks.

Well, I was able to talk to Kat today... I couldn't take the suspense any longer and had to know what change she'd made to our ADRs!

Our dinner plans for Friday have changed... instead of dining at Teppan Edo, we will be eating at

'Ohana!

Another place I've not been to and am really looking forward to (that is, if Kat doesn't pull another switcheroo on me! ;))

Who keeps their initial plans?? I must admit to checking often to see if we can get into Le Cellier on Saturday for lunch. But I can't get in there at all that week! This time I'll be sure to keep you in the loop of potential plan changes!:thumbsup2

Ohana! Yummy! I wouldn't be able to take the suspense either.

Still all sounds good to me!:goodvibes What better way to pass the months away than playing with ADRs. :lmao:

:woohoo: on getting to eat at O'hana!!!! You guys will have a great time and all three ADRs sound great. I have not got an ADR for O'hana but have been told to keep trying as it is an awesome experience.

 Hi I'm joining in now too.... catching up on some things :)

I have heard all kinds of good things about Ohana I have that for me first night down. I have heard that it can be loud? But maybe b/c of the kids? I don't know...The food looks too good to turn that down though ;)

:welcome:, meachell!

I haven't heard anything about 'Ohana being loud... but I imagine it's not unlike the rest of the "family-friendly" places at WDW. I think the "loudest" restaurant there we've been to was WCC... but that place being loud and boisterous is part of its appeal. The "quietest" place would have to be Sci-Fi... I think everyone focuses on watching the movie clips, they don't have time to talk, LOL!

Time for another random WDW photo...

Cinderella's Castle

This view of the Castle is from Liberty Square. We stopped at Sleepy Hollow for an afternoon snack (mmmmmm, funnel cakes!)

What's your favorite snack at WDW?

Oh can't wait to hear responses! I have no idea what is really available besides Dole Whips that everyone goes crazy for and the popcorn? I'm sure everything is good!!

What a stunning picture of the castle!!!!!!!! :goodvibes

I love  the funnel cakes!!

Hmm... favorite snack? Well, obviously the Mickey Bar. :thumbsup2

You know .... I totally enjoyed (and didn't share) the Red Bean Ice Cream in China. DH had to chase me down the dining room to get a taste. :lmao: (I told him to get his own or share with the kids.)

But I would totally love to hear some other responses! I'm going to grab my notepad. :p
