4 guests, but ADR for 5?

What happens if you make an ADR for 5 people, but then only show up with 4? Has anyone ever done this? Do you end up waiting longer or do they just seat you at a table for 5 anyway?

people's plan change all the time, not uncommon for 1 member of party to get tired & head back to hotel. you'll be fine but may have to wait for a table for 4.

i believe the tables are set up for 2, 4, 6 etc

if you know ahead of your vacation that u will only have 4 vs 5, as a courtesy you could try booking for 4 & cancelling the larger table

The only time showing up with less can be an issue is for places that require a credit card hold (i.e. CRT, Akershus, Cali Grill). Those places will charge you a $10 or $20 no show fee.
