ok, I think not. We just got home and made our own. I basically made vanilla shakes in the blender and then added two peaches - and it was great! A good way to get fruit into your kids too and they think it is such a treat on a hot day!

I'm going to ask a stupid question, I've never made shakes at home, is it just ice cream and milk or is there more to it? This would be a great treat for the kids.

Sometimes you can buy powder mixtures, but I found that it tasts just the same to add some Milk and Ice Cream (less milk if you want creamy) a few chunks of ice and blend it up. Now if you like orange creamsicle you can add a touch of orange juice ;)

I just used vanilla ice cream and milk. Popped in a few peaches and it was done. We made strawberry ones last week. Mmmmmm.

What about a strawberry banana smoothie? I love the ones at Red Lobster and wish I could make them at home.

YUM, sounds good! And easy enough for me to make, my kids are going to thank-you!

I like using 1 cup orange juice, 1/2 frozen banana and 4-5 frozen strawberries and blend it up...very delicious and very, very healthy!!

One not so healthy, but sooooo good is to take some sprite and orange sherbet and mix it in blender. OMG....so refreshing!!

I like mine with fruit, a little milk and ice. Its not as thick as the ice cream kind, but its smoother.

I don't use ice cream for smoothies either, just for milkshakes.

A trick is to freeze some of the fruit. It makes it really thick and you don't have to add ice. The other day I used frozen blueberries, a fresh banana and milk and it was sooo good. I'm going to freeze some strawberries and try it with that.

mangos, vanilla yogurt, ice, 2 drops rosewater- yummy
or same thing without the yogurt- very refreshing

1 cup of OJ, 1 cup of frozen mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, rasberries), a scoop of protein powder (from Trader Joe's), and a little honey. The protein powder gives it a little more body sort of like what the yogurt or ice cream does. Healthy and tasty!

My breakfast every morning while on Weight Watchers is:

Drop into the blender:
5 ice cubes
1 8 oz. sugar free yogurt (either vanilla or strawberry)
1 medium banana (can be frozen)
1 pack splenda

Blend until smooth, pour into a large plastic cup, drink on the way to work.
(It's 4 points and I stay full until lunch!)
