FIL *gasp* says 4 days is way to much for Disney. I don't think so at all. After all with 5 kids of different ages and wanting to see shows and having ds's birthday party there I think we could do 5 days. But of course he keeps saying 4 is way too much. He is thinking 2. Of course HE isn't paying for the trip so in the end he can stay home. (Like my attitude?) But I want to make sure I am not way out of line thinking 4 days.

Absolutely not! IMHO, 4 days is just right to be able to relax and take in the park. Actually, I like 6 days even better ;)

You need AT LEAST 3 days to do both parks, another day for Downtown Disney. 4 is great if you can do more, even better.

Okay, that is what I thought. We have a 5 day hopper so we could go more. My FIL just doesnt' get it. :( I really wish he didn't live there so we could do our own thing.

5 days is our ABSOLUTE MINIMUM. We wont bother going if its less, we get too frustrated and arent able to relax. Use up all 5 days on your hopper- with all those kids, you'll need it and no way will you get to see everything even then.
Does he have to come w/ you EVERY day? Maybe he can stay home for 3 of the days or just meet you for dinner at Epcot or something?
Good luck!
No matter what- remember to see the magic.

We were there for 2 full days and 2 half days and I did not have enough time. There was so much left to do when we left I cried.

I could have spent 2 days at DCA and 3 days at DL and I don't shop. We did not see one show or ride all the rides. My girls are 3 yrs and 20 months and we did a bunch of their favorites over and over and over and over. Teacups, Dumbo, toon town were the biggest hits. We never made it to Splash Mtn or the haunted mansion holiday.

Go for all five days if you can. Take it slow and enjoy the scenery. I'm planning a 5 day trip in March (Sun-Thurs) so we can take it slower and see more of the things that make Disneyland Disneyland.

Oh duh. Yes, Im a numbskull sometimes. But the idea is a sound one. Thanks!

Four Days is not enough for me. My family and I have been 12 times since last November. Our PAP expire in Dec. we of course will be renewing.

The shortest stay we have had has been 3 nights. Longest has been 8 days and 8 nights although we did do Legoland for one day for that trip.

My daughter can't get enough.

Her current favorite is the Haunted Mansion. She is absolutely obsessed with Jack Skellington and Sally. She just turned 3 in September and my dh and I took her to Avalon Cove and ordered her the birthday package. She was dressed up as Alice in Wonderland and when she descended the spiral staircase a CM announced: Everyone, Alice has arrived!! She had wonderful character interaction, this was our 5th time there and the characters are always very interactive here, to the point of distraction. I don't think our daughter has ever finished a meal here. I recommend it highly just don't order the french onion soup. It is more reasonable here then Goofy's kitchen. I think GK is 23. per adult and 4.95 or 3.95 for all children even those under three. It is not as good of a value as the WDW Character Breakfasts. Avalon Cove is about 12.99 for adults this includes your choice of soup or salad and an entree usually a Burger, Salmon BLT, Fish and Chips and some sort of pasta. For kids there is a different menu and burger, chicken fingers and fish in chips. The kid's meal is served in a sand bucket and ketchup comes served in the shovel. The first time we ever went they had a beautiful Sebastian sticker stuck on the sand bucket but now they just give them plain. It is still very cute. Also the characters give the children instruments and they dance around the restaurant marching in a line with the characters who are dressed in a nautical theme.

The characters we have seen there:

- Ariel
- Minnie ( she spent almost the entire visit on my daughter's bday, feeding my DD her lunch)
- Chip and Dale
- Goofy
- Pluto

Actually I think that my daughter could spend an entire four days in the haunted mansion. LOL

Have a good time and do as others have suggested and just meet your father for dinner in the area. Good luck.

We were at Goofy's last month and they no longer charge for kids under 3.

Thanks for the review of Avalon Cove. We have reservations there next month and I'm so excited to see my daughters face when she gets to go to Ariel's resturant.

Avalon cove sounds great.
I am planning on making PS in a couple of days for it.
