Here are some thoughts on our recent 4 day cruise. I'll try to keep the information relavant and helpful for others.

Myself (41), DH (49), and DD (almost 9) sailed on the Wonder on 11/10 - 11/14. The first thing I learned is that there are no rest stops between Orlando and Port Canaveral. I couldn't take it anymore, and made DH pull over. Yes, I marched into the woods with my kleenex. Apparently others have done the same as there was a definate trail.

Arrived at Port Canaveral at 11:30. Checking in was a snap. We were able to park right in front of the terminal. Baggage drop off was easy. Proceeded to the farthest line - no waiting. I liked the fact that Disney employs retired people at the terminal. They were very patient. We got in line, which moved very quickly. I got my picture taken with Goofy. Minnie and Mickey were also there. Enjoyed chating with other people in line. By noon they were boarding. My husband's favorite part was when they announced our family was boarding.

Although our daughter knew we were going to Disney, she did not know about the cruise. We told her we were going to the beach. When we saw the Disney ship, we said, "hey, let's check this out." When we got closer, DH said, "let's see if they will let us onboard to look around." As we dropped off our luggage and parked the car, we told her, "Maybe we can just get on the cruise with our Disney Park Hoppers, and they won't notice." As the check-in process continued, we kept looking around and saying "you don't see any police do you? I hope we don't get caught." Finally, I could tell she was getting nervous, so we told her the trip was planned, and paid for. She was thrilled and releaved.

After getting on board, we were given the choice of Parot's Cay or Beach Blanket. We chose Parot 's Cay. Buffet was very nice. Went to our cabin. I was surprised at the amount of storage space. We did not use all of it. We then headed up to the pool, as I had packed our suits. The pools were nearly empty.

Bless your daughter's heart, I'll bet she was nervous! What a neat surprise for her though.

I'm looking forward to reading about the rest of your cruise.
