I hightly recommend the children's programs. They were safe, secure and fun. I felt very secure when my DD was in the Lab. I cried when the kids did their on stage program.

Character interaction was abundant. The princesses took a lot of time to talk to us.

CM's were always polite, smiling and helpful. Out cabin steward, June, was wonderful. He was full of pixie dust!

I can't say enough about what a wonderful cruise it was. I have sailed on Carnaval twice, but found this experience magical.

If anyone has any questions, I'd be happy to respond.

Glad to hear you had a great vacation! :D

What category was your cabin, and how old are your children? Feel free to share any, and all, details about your trip!

Great tips! I would have loved to have seen your DD's face at the terminal! Very funny!

Did all the kids put on something at the end of cruise or just the younger ones? Was wondering if children ages 10 and older also did this?
Glad you had a great time. we have also been on 2 carnival cruises and are planning on doing a 4 day disney next year.

We were on Deck 1, Category 10 inside stateroom. Much roominger than Carnaval Fantasy. I really liked have "two bathrooms," one with shower/sink the other commode/sink. I was concerned that the lower decks would not be as nice, but I was wrong. We were closer to the Deck 3 restaurants, the Deck 2 lauderette and Deck 1 "exits" for shore exertions. Since the elevators are small and busy, we used the stairs quite a bit. Frankly, it was my main source of exercise. The walk up to Deck 5 for the lab and theatre, was really not that bad, especially after all the food we ate.

When the children did the program, ALL THE CHILDREN had cruise line t-shirts. My DD was in the age 8-9 group. There may have been some older children, but not many. I'm sure an older child could be onstage is they wished. Probably too geeky for children much older than 10, but you know your "child's likes" better than anybody else.

I forgot to mention the "secret decks" on Decks 7 & 8 aft. DH and I went exploring. We were the only two there. It was a beautiful view of Atlantis when we were docked in Nassau. We brought drinks, and had a quiet time reading in the sun while DD was in the Lab. Just one deck below the Deck 9 Beverage Station.

If you're an early riser, try getting up top when the sun rises. A few of us were out there with our morning coffee. Beautiful! You can nap by the pool later.
