I had to do a meeting on Friday, May 4 near DW, so I brought my daughter (9 years old) and we spent a couple days! Very fun!

We arrived at the Orlando airport just before 1:00. We ate a couple hot dogs at Nathans' in the Food Court, got our car, and headed to the Magic Kingdom.

We go there around 2:30, and headed for a fast-pass at Splash Mountain. We then did the Haunted Mansion, Small World, Philharmagic, and then Snow White. My daughter then got Lady Tremain and Brer Fox's autographs - both firsts! We then rode Splash, walked on Big Thunder Mountain, and then rode Pirates -followed by some shopping! We then did the Laugh Floor! There was no line - and we both enjoyed it a lot! We both thought it was funny - and they did a nice job.

We then headed out, and checked in at POP Century - a first for us. We ate dinner in the food court, unpacked, and called it a day. A great start!

Tomorrow is AK!

having fun reading trip report. Lady Tremain, WOW!!! have a good time!!

We woke up early - had breakfast in the room - and then got to AK for opening!

My daughter is a big fan of Expedition Everest, so we went right there, got a fastpass, and ended up riding it 5 times in a row by 10:00! We got another fastpass, and then did Primevil Whirl (another favorite), and then Triceratops spin. We did a little shopping, got another Fastpass for Everest, and then rode it.

We then saw Finding Nemo the Musical - it was great! We rode Everest again, and then went to the Rainforest Cafe for the first time (about 12:45pm). It was great!

We then went back to the hotel and swam in the pool for about 2 hours. We refreshed ourselves and re-grouped, and headed out to EPCOT at about 5:30.

We did a first for my daughter - Mission Space (the green one) - and she loved it! We rode it 4 times! There were no fastpasses for Test Track, and the line was long - so we ate dinner at the Electric Umbrella (another first) - which was just ok.

We then rode The Land (another first), and then did HISTA - again another first - that she didn't like!

We then walked around the World Showcase - stopping for some souvenirs in Japan (which she will be studying soon in school). Illuminations was just starting as we got back to Future World. It was and EMH night, so we got our wristband and got in line for Test Track. It ended up being short - but by the time we got off, Illuminations had ended and the line was big! We did some shopping in Mousegears, and then headed out. She hit the sack a little after 10:00, and was out like a light!

Tomorrow is EMH at MGM!

May 5, 2007

Today was EMH morning at MGM, so we got up early, ate breakfast, and got to the MGM rope drop a few minutes before opening. My daughter had never been on Rock-n-Roller coaster before - so that's where we went. She loved it - and we rode it 3 times! We then got some autographs (Chip, Clarice and Stitch), and then went on Star Tours - one of her favoroites. After that we went back to the Big Hat and got Daisy's autograph - a first! We rode Rock-n-Roller Coaster again, and then did the Magic of Disney Animation for the first time. It was great! We got the Incredible's autograph's and then did the drawing session - which was fun.

It was hot - and about noon - so we went back to the hotel and ate. We then decided to go to Typhoon Lagoon - a first!

She loved it! We were there for over 3 hours - and she absolutely loved the wave pool. We did the Crush-and-Gusher a few times, and swam with the fish - and sharks (which she wasn't as thrilled about). We hit the wave pool for a little while, and then went home.

We were both exhausted. We went to the Contemporary to see if we could get into Chef Mickey's, but it was packed and we didn't have a reservation. We went back to the hotel to eat, and ended up hitting the sack about 8:30 - which worked well.

Tomorrow is back to AK and MK!

May 6, 2007

My original plan - before the trip - was that we'd spend the whole last day at the MK - but my daughter had different ideas. Being 9, she's more interested in thrill rides - so it was back to AK for opening. We once again headed over to Everest - and rode it 5 times! This time we purchased a picture of us onit - the 20th ride on Everest for her and we sat up front! The picture came out great. I also took some pictures from the ride with our camera - hopefully they came out ok!

We then went to Camp Minnie Mickey and got Mickey's and Donald's autographs - and headed out.

We wore our swimsuits to the park - and went straight to Blizzard Beach - a first!

We liked it a lot - spent a lot of time in the waver pool, rode a number of the slides and the lazy river - and left around 2:30. We ate at the hotel's restaurant - and went back for a nap! My daughter slept until 4:15, and then we got ready for the MK!

There was a big storm, and we left when it was calming down. We arrived about 5:00 (the rain stopped), got a fastpass for Space Mountain, and then went for our ADR at Liberty Tree Tavern - which we love. The food was great - and my daughter got the other "necessary" autographs. After that we got a fastpass for Big Thunder Mountain, walked back to Space Mountain, then walked back and did Splash twice - minimal lines. We rode BTMRR, then did Splash 3 more times. It was EMH, so we got a wrist band, and rode BTMRR one more time. We walked throught Frontierland and Fantasyland - did some shopping on Main St, and got back to our room around 10:00.

We had an early morning flight Monday (7:50am) - so we headed out early. Great trip!

We had a great trip. The crowds were pretty low - which was great! It was pretty hot - into the 90's each day - but we did most of the park time in the morning or evening, so it wasn't bad.

This was the first time my daughter had been to the water parks - and they were a huge hit!

We weren't too impressed with POP Century - but the price was hard to argue with. We had Preferred rooms in the 50's section - which was nice. I like the food court idea - makes it much more convenient. We got a refillable mug and used it a lot. We loved the Blue slushy cokes - they were great! We also loved that we could get boxes of mini-donughts for breakfast - and they were reasonably priced!

A lot of firsts for us (we've been there 5 times - this was the second time Mom decided to bow out - we had just been there at the beginning of December). Firsts were the Laugh Floor, Finding Nemo the Musical, Mission Space, the Land, HISTA, walking the whole World Showcase, Rock-n-Roller Coaster and the Magic of Disney Animation. In addition, we did Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach.

Being 9, she pretty much had little interest in Fantasyland anymore - which is my favorite!

Great trip - lot's of fun - but too short (as always).

I merged your threads together. I totally agree about the Laughing Floor Comedy Place.
Thanks for sharing your TR with us.
