I am having trouble deciding what to do? Our 10 year anniversary is in 2005. I really wanted to do a special family vacation to celebrate. My husband is a teacher so we are restricted to travelling at the busy time. Looking at the schedules and our finances we could do a 4 day cruise at the end of August 2005. Or we could wait till March 2006 and do a 7 night cruise.

I am leaning towards waiting and saving for the extra couple of months and doing the 7 night cruise. We use to live in the Southeast and have vacationed in Flordia in August & September and know the weather can be iffy. I would hate to run into a hurricane and be prevented from docking at Castaway Cay. WE have already been to Nassau when we did a Carnival cruise for our honeymoon. I would like to see something different. Plus I like to take a winter vacation to get out of the snow. It seems kinda of a shame to vacation in the south when the weather at home is good.

I would love some others opinion whether it would be worth waiting.

Our first disney cruise was the 4 day! NOT long enough!
Will be going on our 2nd 7 day in about 5 months!
I'd do the 7 day without a doubt!:teeth:

Personally, if I were going to spend the money, I'd wait for a 7-day. We've done a 7-day Eastern and two 4-day Bahamian cruises and the 7-day is definitely worth the wait. You'd be surprised how fast the time will fly -- you'll be cruising before you know it!

And definitely (if you could) book the date as soon as it is released. March is a popular month because of spring break and the prices will increase as time goes on.

We just did the 7 day cruise this past March and I couldn't imagine doing anything less! We enjoyed every, single day of the cruise. Save up and do the March 2006!

Im in a similar boat as you.
Our 10th anniversary is the summer of 2005 and we wanted to do a 7 day for it. We have done 2 3 days which were great, but this was going to be the big trip. Well, DCL seems to have other plans than I do, LOL, and with the Magic itinerary not being announced, we booked a 4 day for August 2005. I was really disappointed with the fact I wasnt excited at all about it. So, we finally decided the kids could miss 4 days of school and we will do the 7 day in October. So, obviously, I would say wait a little longer and go for the longer cruise. ;)
