Will they allow my 4 and 13 year old to go to a club together. I know there is a room for 3-12year olds. Do you think they will make an exception. Just for one day?

Goodness knows I am NOT an expert on this but I do know that each club has open house times each day that might work for you. I also know I have read of exceptions being made when the clubs were not full.

Only during Open Houses. They won't allow a 4 year old to age up, and that is a big gap for aging down.

I've never heard of them aging down for the clubs. Aging up is the only way I've heard it going, and only for Edge. (Not sure why I've never heard of it happening at Vibe.) At 13, they can be given permission to check 3-12yos in and out of the club, even. My daughter had turned 13 less than a month before our last cruise, and she thought it was cool to do that for the cousin too young for self check in/out privileges. At 11, she already thought the 3-12 clubs were lame and boring, but she was happy to go with her younger cousins a few times during open houses this time b/c of the cousin factor. There were lots of open houses, and that was more than enough time in the clubs for them together.

It would be one year aging down so my daughter can make sure her brother is comfortable before she goes to her club. I really hope they let her. I can't see just dropping him off without letting him get comfortable first.

They don't allow them to age down at all (they are firm on that), but as others have said--they can go to the open house times together! Also, you can all go in together on the first day before dinner--it is open house time then--so you can help your son get comfortable then.

Sorry, they will NOT allow the 13-yr-old to "age down" to the Club/Lab. The kids are welcome to enjoy Open House times together -- there will be at least one hour per day (often longer) at each space designated as Open House. The upper age limits are hard and DCL never makes exceptions to "age down." The afternoon of embarkation day is all open house; I suggest you stop by the Club/Lab space with your son to visit, introduce him to some CMs, check-out some of the activities available, etc. Spend as much time there as you wish that afternoon to help him feel comfortable.

Enjoy your cruise!

During Open House times, your whole family can go and play together, which is fun!

My 13 year-old was able to age-up and go to the Vibe on our cruise on the Magic earlier this year. Made his day!

Agree with the not allowing to age down ever. My oldest turned 13 6 weeks before our last cruise. His 11 year old brother is slightly autistic, and I asked if DS13 could go into the 3-12 club just for the first night to help settle his brother into a new environment. (On our first cruise our youngest was nervous about it, but his brother (who was 11) spent the first day with him in the 3-12 club and he was then happy for the rest of the cruise (which my oldest spent in the 11-14 club). I thought it was a reasonable request but they said no. (It worked out; my youngest tried the 11-14 club and enjoyed the video games, etc.)
