I'm nearly going mad trying to get a straight answer out of everybody. We want a quiet room and are going at Christmas. HELP:thumbsup2

As sister resorts that share amenities, you can't go wrong with either choice. That being said, I think YC has a bit more of an adult atmosphere.

I agree that Yacht Club has more adults, and was more sedate and quiet, but not boring nor stuffy. The Yacht Club lobby was calmer and less crowded than the Beach Club lobby, which was usually busy with families and kids. Cape May Cafe, with the character breakfast is right off of the Beach Club lobby. Both resorts share access to the same amenities.

I would go with the Yacht Club. We asked for a quiet room, and got one right off of a courtyard; it was lovely and quiet.

DH has a very high pressure job and he needs to chill out at WDW so we stay at the YC...it is so quiet and relaxing and the quiet pool is empty all the times we have gone.

When we walk over to the BC is is so loud and chaotic and crawling with kids (not that we have anything against kids we love em just dont have em) that we get an instant headache

I agree with everyone else, the Yacht Club is a more adult and quiet atmosphere; not in a dull way, but in a relaxing one.

I just stayed at the Beach Club this past April.... Just my sister and me, no kids.... We loved it! Would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Loved the sandy bottom pool, I know they both share the pool area.

I was suffering this debate when trying to decide where to stay for my honeymoon.

I was too turned off by the nautical theme of the YC. I just can't imagine sleeping in a room that looks like a 4 year old boy's.

Beach club won out for us. The fact that they share the amenities helped. I am worried about too many kids, but well, it's Disney and I don't expect there to be a lack of kids anywhere.

between those two, definately YC.
we find BC just too noisy (crying, screaming, fighting siblings noisy....not as much the "happy noisy":( ).
BWI is also an excellent choice

I love the BC as an adult solo, but have been wondering about the YC. I like being able to walk to Epcot and BC is closer. I personally like the BC decor. I also like being close to Cape May for breakfast. I wish BC were closer to boat dock - that is YC's advantage. I believe YC rooms all have a full balcony - if you like a full one that is a good reason to select YC. To me Disney means kids and I go to Disney because I like the Disney experience, so in that sense I prefer BC with all its kids. If I wanted a more adult experience I think I would go to the Swan....

I would definately say the YC is quieter and more adult. We stayed at the Beach Club in May and it's one of my favorites but this trip it was very small children running up and down the halls yelling constantly. Next stay will be the YC.

YC. Was there last year and had a quiet room near the quiet pool.Fresh lemonade in the lobby on a HOT day, Priceless.

YC It seems like more families with small children pick BC
over YC plus you have the Vacation Club Resort at the BeachClub adding to the excitement. The difference between the two when it comes to the lobbies and room hallways are night and day. However, when the breakfast buffet is out at the YCG it can get a bit hectic. Enjoy your stay wherever you end up.pirate:
