So this trip was originally suppose to be just 2 adults but after some change of plans we are now traveling with two friends. We won't be in the room an awful lot (maybe naps mid day) but want to be comfortable sleeping and have space to get ready in the morning. Just wondering if anyone has stayed in the Poly with four adults.

Also do all rooms at the Poly have the futon/pull-out couch? That would definitely held since two of us are a couple and the other two guys may not want to share a bed.

You'll need to add $50 per night to add the two extra adults to your room.

They are already on the reservation and it is a CM rate since I am a CM. It was a drop in the bucket once 60% off was put on.

I wanted advice about the space etc since none of us have ever been in a Poly room just always dreamed of it and saw my CM rates a figured why the heck not.

We stayed in a Poly standard room last Xmas, DH, Myself, DD 24, DS 22, and DD 7. It was not bad at all and we had a separate daybed so they were all comfortable. Now the 7 year old slept on the daybed cause no one will sleep with her cause she kicks at night but even sharing a bed the 24 & 22 year olds were comfortable. We always had hot water when showering too.

We did it in December. Myself, mom, sil, and sis all stayed in one room. My older sis and mom shared a bed, sil had the daybed and I had the other queen. You'll have plenty of room.

We are a family of 4 and our Poly stay was with 2 teens and we had plenty of room. The rooms are very large and spacious and I don't think you'll have any problem with 4 adults. You will have a daybed as all rooms come with one, which is one of the (many) reasons we love the Poly. Have a great trip and enjoy the Poly.....it's an awesome resort :wizard:.

LOL, how helpful to answer a question that wasn't even asked.

I've stayed at the Poly a number of times. If you are used to traveling with a group of 4 adults in one room then you'll likely have no problem.

I guess the room size is adequate, but I'd only have 4 adults in one room if I had to.

We are use to it in the sense we do it at least once a year for a friends trip but have never done it at Disney. We have often traveled with 3 at Disney just never 4 in one room.

Luckily we are all really close and it is a short trip so we won't want to kill each other by the end.

Thanks for everyone who answered. I'm super excited for this trip because it is 3 Disney dorks taking someone who has never been to any Disney park.

The Poly standard rooms are just about the largest there are at WDW. Sleeps 4 comfortably.

You'll have plenty of room. But, the men will need to sleep in the same bed. I would forget about using the daybed (just my opinion, though).

They are fine sleeping in the same bed if the daybed is tiny but one of the guys is no bigger than an average 15 year old so he would easily fit on the daybed. Heck I might even get banished to the day bed since I am a kicker in my sleep.

Poly has queen beds correct?

It sounds like you already had your mind made up before you posted; so I don't really understand why you are asking. :)

But, my opinion is that you will be fine. As long as you have good relationships with these people and you don't mind the closeness, it will not be an issue at all. Have a great time on your trip.

Wasn't really looking for advice just others stories about that many in that size room. Just wanted a better idea of what to expect since I had never been in one. If everyone said you would be miserable we would have upgraded to a suite or got two rooms.

OP,
The rooms at the Poly should easily sleep four, and all come with a daybed and 2 queen beds. The rooms in the newer buildings (Tahiti? Raratonga?...help me out Poly experts!) are even larger than those in the older part of the resort, so once you verify which buildings have the larger rooms, perhaps you could make a request for one of them to maximize space? My only concern with the Poly and 4 adults is that even with the recent remodel, the bathroom is a total unit enclosed in one room, whereas at other deluxes, at least the sinks are separate from the tub/toilet. If you're ok with only one person being able to get ready or use the bathroom at a time, then I say you've made a great choice! :thumbsup2

You will be okay if you don't get on each other's nerves. Just remember you only have one bathroom.

Thanks for letting us know the bathroom and sink are together. 3 of the 4 are roommates so are use to one bathroom. We are already discussing a shower schedule to help minimize get ready time.

Actually really glad y'all told us about the sink because every where else we have ever stayed on property the sink is outside so anyone who had the night shower could brush teeth and wash face while the rest waited their turn for the shower.

Space won't be an issue and I am sure the day bed will be fine although we never used it as our two boys were okay with sharing.

60% off? How would you feel about one more adult in the room. I'll even sleep on the floor.:rotfl2:
