This was a mother dd trip for spring break for our kids. We arrived at the PBH after 2 to check in I landed a garden view standard room with a 129 rate for that first night. At check in we were upgraded at no charge to a del pool view room with a balcony with my lowes gold. It was great a wonderful room great pool view and a nice balcony. We settled in and went over to activate there ap's i had bought on fan club for 99 each. I also had to get my 2 y pass again since i lost it. It was quick and easy and they charged me 5 bucks to reissue my pass. We decided to go to the pool at the PBH instead of hitting the parks. So she headed to the pool with both kids and i made a last minute appt to get a treatment at the greenhouse spa with Shawn. He was great i had the well being massage which i loved it! After that i hung by the pool for a few minutes then i was off to shower before they came up and we all dressed and ate at mama della's for supper. Everyone loved it the kids had the pizza's off the kids menu and brownies. Shari had the garlic shirmp appt. and the fettuce alfredo side dish for supper i had the side ceasar and the eggplant it was great the service there is always top notch we had Lars and he's very attentive. Gave the girls to go plates for there supper and desserts. We decided we'd tool over to city walk and we ended up taking in a movie what a girl wants. It was great i cried the whole movie.LOL We headed back to the PBH the boats ran great never more than a 3-5 minute wait the whole stay. We stayed up late but got up early on wen as we were checking out. We called the hrh to see if our room was ready and if were were gonna get an upgrade. Our garden view i had booked for 99 ap rate was ready but we could upgrade to a kids suite but would'nt be ready till 4. So we discussed staying at PBH and when i called to see about keeping our room they were sold out so we had to get outta that room we decided to hold out for the suite and packed our things went to uso and hung out till 11. I called and talked to guest services and told them we really wanted to get on to the water rides and were waiting on a room they said as soon as possible they'd have one. I waited till 12 and called back and our rooms were ready. ROOMS! They gave me as an upgrade for 35 another garden view connecting room. I thought wow were off to a wonderful start. We packed up the car and heading to the HRH around 12:30 and we pulled to valet and waited, waited, and i ran into checkin NOT checkin took over 30 minutes! About that long to get a valet and bellman to help with the bags! After 15 mintues i saw the girls come to the lobby while i was still checking in. The AMex express merchant services was down so she had to manually call them on BOTH rooms. The first room the charge was 134 okay that's fine i sign up thats 99 and 35 for the upgrade. NO problem second room 139 NOPE i'm not signing that you charged me for that room already! She pointed out that i just needed to sign it and she would figure it out later. NO i'm not doing it. I will however cross out the amount and intial that i did that and sign it for 0.00 amount. She was not happy called a manager then decided the manager would call me up in the room. So i'm checked in but not settled up so i'm ill now. Then we get a bellman to walk us to the ONE set of evlavators and then we follow him altleast a 1/4 mile to our room! OH the lady at the front desk forgot to give me the mini bar keys. So when the manager calles to explain Naomi's mistake at the front desk i request the mini bar keys. They never show up. The rooms are okay at best. The beds' were not impressive at all and after sleeping on them i was sore and dissappointed. The bathrooms are just well bathrooms. Nothing special at all about the whole place. We had a view of the parks from both rooms but gee's nothing special. We were happy to have two bathrooms but that's about it. We left finnally to go to IOA then back to the HRH for some pool time. The kids loved the pool and slide. I was not impressed with the crowded area of the pool. The sauna's are small and crowded and nothing special at all. I was ready to leave when we got to the HRH. Needless to say i won't be back it's just not my style. Well i guess the girls summed it up best Haley the 8 yo said of PBH is just heaven and the HRH is well mom it's just breathing.LOL They want to go back but to the PBH not the HRH. They hated it with the exception of the slide. The growns up well you all know i love the PBH Shari's first visit and she said it was more calmer at PBH and she likes the relaxed mood of feeling your somewhere else at PBH and the kids are more controled and behaved it's not loud at the kids' pool and the kids are calmer she said.
