Here it is! Day one of getting our acts together so we look and feel great for the big meet in August:cool1: .

My goal: Lose 15 pounds by 8/13 (the day we head to WDW)
My plan: Stick to the WW flex plan

Today after the kids get on the bus I will run 3-5 miles on the treadmill, depending on my lower back (I have a chiropractor appt today to get me straightened out). Breakfast will be oatmeal and a small banana (3 points). I will know the lunch and dinner menu after I go grocery shopping.

We can do this!!

Anyone mind if I join in? I can't meet you guys at the breakfast but I do have a wedding dress to squeeze my flabby mass into on Sept 20th!!!

Honestly, weight is no issue to me, I don't know what I weigh and nor do I care! For me it's about losing inches, mainly off my tummy, and also about getting healthier in general. I just walked up the stairs and was out of breath, that is not good in any circumstances!

On Friday I walked 3.5 miles into the city centre from my future in-laws house. Sadly that's not an option really at my house unless you have a death wish/want to be mugged. They are in a nicer city than me. Where I live there is no where worth walking to except the library 10mins away and how many times do I really need to go there? There are no gyms nearby/on bus routes and I don't drive so I need to do stuff at home and have no idea what!

Welcome aboard Queenie!

Sorry I'm late, phone calls this morning. Trying to get my car engine from England.

Todays weigh in - 197.2 :scared:
goal: lose 80 lbs but I would be happy with 70.
plan: WW flex points at home, 26 points per day
exercise plan:
balance ball, walking, weights.
I hate to exercise so this is going to be tough for me. I would rather do something fun that turned out to be a good work out. I used to roller skate, then did the country music scene for 2 years. Once that stopped the pounds racked up.

Todays food journal:
breakfast - 1 cup Cherrios and 1/4 cup 2% milk - 3 points
water - 33.8 oz (using my water bottle the pre-measure)
lunch - South Beach diet Southwestern chicken bowl - 5 points
water 33.8 ounces
snack - yoplait light Strawberry yogurt - 2 points
dinner 1 hot dog, broccoli and 1/2 a hamburger not sure of points for the burger so I took the last 10

I hate to exercise. I would rather pull my own teeth than exercise. But I did do the walking to the bus stop this morning. :thumbsup2 DH doesn't know when he'll get to Target, so I guess it is old fashion hurt my back from the hard floor situps.

Weigh in this morning - 123.4 lbs BMI 19.6 (I have one of those scales, but at least it doesn't talk to me)

Goals - - -
Weight - 120 lbs
BMI - 18.5
Able to walk 3 miles in 2 months
Able to walk 10 miles by August
Loose 4 inches of body mass, need measure body parts.

Now before everyone groans at my weight. I was hovering between 135-140 just last summer. I was 132 in January, 126 after being sick. I lost a lot of muscle tone too. So I'm not sure how realistic the pound goal is if I gain muscle and lose this flab.

Food journal - this is gonna be hard.
Breakfast - coffee, cereal bar 25 coffee, 140 bar calories
Snack - slice of three cheese bread & .5L water 75 calories
Lunch - will be a saladmoved the salad to dinner
Had one 80 calorie yogurt with fiber, one 60 calorie chedder slice, one bag of apple slices 40 calories and one slice of bread 45 calories & .5L water

Snack - bottle of soda 180 calories, 2 strawberries 18 calories, handfull of popcorn 35 calories
Dinner - tuna sandwich with cheese & tomato 300? calories & bottle water
Snack - Angelfood cake 150 calories & strawberries 30 calories
Total calories 1178
Will come back and update as stuff mysteriously finds it way to my mouth.

I walked up and down my driveway 7 times. Two of those pulling a heavy garbage can and once with the recycleables in a garden wagon. Won't my DH be surprised when he comes home. :teeth:

Here's my hint for losing weight.

Move everything you own, twice. Extra results come from moving your stuff up a flight of stairs at altitude!

I had lost 12 lbs since Sept, and then in the 2 months prior to the move I had gained 5.5 back (too much convenience food eating). But the process of moving, I lost that weight again. Still have a lot to go, but I am seriously considering taking my 2 10 lb weights and walking up and down the flight of stairs 25 times, since it seemed to work so well, when I was carrying the boxes. 15 lb weights would be better, since I think the boxes on average were 30lbs, but you got to work with what you have.

I am back from the grocery store.....$211 later!! I really hate Big Y.

My daily points goal is 24. I am earning activity points but not eating them in an effort to lose more quickly. Today's menu:

Breakfast: oatmeal, small banana 3 points
Lunch: My version of chicken salad sandwiches, pickle 5 points
Dinner: taco salad, 6 points
Snacks: Cheddar soy chips 4 points, fat free vanilla yogurt with strawberries 4 points, granola bar 2 points

Total: 24 points:)

How do you figure out points? Do they have them on the packages of food you buy or do you have to guesstimate on some of them?

You get a points slider at WW and you determine points based on calories, fat grams, and fiber content.

you have to calculate the calories, fiber and fat grams.

The weight watchers food has the points right on the box but you have to plug it into your little WW calculator for the rest.

I bought mine out of a WW magazine, I'm not sure if you can get them at a local branch.

I found this.

Ok, I'm not doing WW...but I did just utilize my 45 minute work out video..and I must say my hold body hurts and I didn't use the weights but twice... didn't want to over due and hurt myself..but I can tell you I ache..but I feel much better!!!

I am up to 130. I have gained 25 pounds in the past two years. Although I do not want to be that small again, I am inching out of all my cute stuff. I use to teeter between a 2 and a 4 but now I just bought 6's and the ones that wouldn't fit. I took back.

My goal is 115. That means I need to lose 15 pounds. i want to do it in about 6 weeks - is that realistic?

My downfall is bread, 'taters and soft drinks.

I did not do well this AM.

- 2 cups of decaf coffee with Splenda and sugar/fat free creamer
- Medium Coke
- Fried chicken biscuit

I hate to drink so much water during the day when I am driving so I will have to do most of it at home.

But I haven't had the 2 cans of Dew I usually have by now or the 2 bags of chips...so there is progress already.

dump the soda Susie. That will help right away. 110 calories per 8 oz serving!!! there's 3 servings in a can!

I have vowed to cut down to one can a day until i can get off the caffeine without pounding headaches.

Caffeine really messes with weight loss too.

I am putting my flavored water in the fridge now.

Does anyone remember how much of your body weight you are suppose to drink in water a day?

I heard 1/2 an ounce per pound that you weigh if you are not active. 2/3 ounce per pound if you are athletic.

My soda is 180 calories a bottle. I am on my only one I'm allowing myself a day. Need to go add that to my list.

Oh and that sweetie DH, he did go to Target for me. I'll be testing out the side ups tonight.

Most of my weight loss that wasn't from being sick was from cutting back on the HFCS (high fructose corn syrup) in my foods. Finding healthier alternatives and just cutting out most of the junk foods helped.

I totally understand where you are coming from Susie... I get the headaches too..but I have limited myself to one can a day..and I split it in half and that way I get "2" a day even though it's really not...

So far it has helped me alot!

- Fried chicken biscuit

But if that biscuit is from Chic-fil-a, it is sooo worth those calories. But it isn't so much the calories that'll do your diet in, it's the sodium. I was amazed at how much sodium is in all their products. If you ask, they will give a brochure that lists the nutritional contents of their food.

Speaking of brochures, did that envelope make it to you yet?

Yes. I feel so bad about not posting about it. We have devoured it. Stone has made a posterboard of what he wants to do.

It was so sweet of you to send it to me.

 Aw that's okay. It was fun going around and grabbing everything I could find. Can't wait to hear about your visit there. :thumbsup2

Oh, and I've done 4 laps of my driveway so far. Just need one more for the mile today and that'll happen in about 50 minutes. :thumbsup2
