4:30 ADR @ 'Ohana -- will we make it?

I just made an ADR for 'Ohana for 4:30 on our 1st full MK day. I know we definitely want to see the 3:00 parade that day. Will we make it to 'Ohana on time? Which mode of transport is quickest, monorail or launch?

Also, Disney Dining tells you to be at the restaurant 10-15" before your ADR, but all the posts I see (and the write-ups on ADR's) say that when you arrive, the CM gives you the next available table, which might be a 10-15" wait.... Is it really necessary to be early, if I am going to be waiting anyway?

As always, thank you all for your help! :)

I can't really comment too much on the first part of your question, but the fastest way their depends on what you see when you leave. If a boat is at the dock ready to head over, I always hop on. If not the Monorail should be faster.

As for arriving 10 - 15 minutes early, I decide that based upon how hungry we are. If you arrive early, you will be seated sooner. If you show up at the exact time of your ADR, you will wait another 15 or so minutes depending upon how busy they are. The only time this differs is when a show is involved, then I arrive exactly when they tell me to.

This is just MHO from what I have observed.

Have fun!

I think you'll make it. I would watch the parade from the Main Street area so you don't have to fight your way through the crowds to the main entrance.

I think the monorail is usually faster. Also when you take the monorail, you are right in the lobby where 'Ohana is located. If you take the boat, you'll have to walk from the Poly's pier up to the lobby.

Just so you know, the launch from MK goes to GF first and then to the Polynesian. But I think either way you'll make your ADR without a problem.

I agree, you'll make it! I'd try to watch the parade at end of Main street by the Train Station area for an easy exit. Alot of people leave the park after the parade so be prepared and you'll be fine! Enjoy!

If the parade starts off in Adventureland, I would watch it there and cut thru the bridge infront of Crystal palace and walk thru Casey's and the gift shops and exit before the parade even gets to Main Street.

Great idea!:cheer2:
