Does anyone know if you can book the 4/3 plan (or any package for that matter) on line and use AAA for discount? I hunted around for awhile and couldn't find a way to apply AAA card # for discount.

You cannot use both discounts. If you are staying more than 7 days though, you can use another discount if you make a new reservation for those days. We booked the 4/3 deal for the first 7 nights, then separate room/only reservations using OZI and AAA.
Hope that helps...

Only one discount at Disney.
The 4/3 is better than the AAA room discount.
If you don't see it on line you need to call.

The PPs are right. We gave up our AAA rates in exchange for the 4/3 deal and it saved us a bundle.:)

Thanks everyone! Just thought I would inquire. We didn't have AAA the last time we stayed at POP in 2004 so I didn't realize it was WDW discount or AAA discount only. Thanks for the info.......I am now educated.

there are a few perks for booking through AAA even if you're not getting the AAA discount...there's a discount card, there's the Diamond parking pass and some local AAA agencies will be do special give-aways for booking during January. You AAA agent can book you the same deal as you can get on-line yourself (but you get the AAA extras by using them.) I had my agent book our 4/3 deal for May so we can get our extras. She was quite impressed by that one - works out to way better than the usual AAA 20% room rate discount:thumbsup2

We had originally booked our trip through AAA before the 4/3 offer came out. As I was making the final payment on our trip I asked the TA. The agent told me that some do qualify for the deal. So she checked it out for us. We saved $54 more dollars than the AAA deal and we get the gift card.
It was a good deal. You can use AAA to book the package but they will give you the better deal.

Me again sorry. I forgot to mention that when you book through AAA you still get the 4/3 deal and all the AAA perks. It worked out good for us.

You get percentages off of some dining, non alcoholic beverages, boat rentals, Richard Petty Driving Expeirence, Minituree golf courses, tennis lessons, some spa treatments, some merchandise and sidney tours. You also get preferred parking, lagguage tags, and a diamond card. It is the diamond card you use to get the percentage off rates I mentioned.

I was just told by AAA today that they are also giving away $75 extra disney dollars for the 4 for 7 package during our april trip. We have a package reserved (non AAA) already, but are considering moving it to AAA because we can get the $75 more and extra AAA perks.

Any advice on that? Would you do it? Package price is the same.

replying to my own post - can anybody elaborate in detail what the benefits of AAA package are vs non AAA is? I can't seem to get any info on that. right now the difference is our non AAA TA will make dining ressies for me, but we aren't going to need more than 4 of those. I can't seem to decide - price is the same, except for the extra $75 from AAA.

Thanks for the info. everyone. We are still "on the fence". We had only planned on staying in Orlando for 4 days and hitting St. Pete Beach for the remaining 4 days of our trip. Just can't decide................

If it will be the same price + an extra $75 gift card, I'd switch to AAA. That can help pay for food or general spending money.

I have booked the 7/4 package in the month of March. We might stay a day or two longer and I called to see how much a night extra would be. I asked for a AAA discount on that night and they said no, no AAA discount for that particular March night. Thought that was very odd. :confused3

I just checked my notes and the AAA website for a bit more info. Friday, march 6th I was quoted by a Disney CM that no AAA discounts were available for that night, so the rate would be $151.88. I typed in the dates of the 14th-16th of March and got rate of $121.cc from the AAA website. So I guess the CM was wrong? or that date there actually was not availability for a AAA discount?

Sometimes I have found availability on the AAA website but when I try to book it -- at the very end -- it tells me that there is no availability. I love AAA, but I hate that part of the AAA website. It's happened to me more than once.

If someone books through AAA can they still be part of a Grand Gathering that is not booked through AAA? The reason I ask is because we have 8 of us staying at SSR and my dad and step mom are going to go at the same time as us but haven't booked yet. I am trying to get them the best deal possible. This will be the first ever vacation that my sister and I have had with our dad and we are celebrating his 70th birthday.
