Snoopyto , wow , your wife looks so much like my good friend and SIL Becky.

This has been a slow weekend , it's super cold here I really don't want to do anything except stay under my blanket. I am working tonight but luckily I was able to give my hours tomorrow to someone else, I just can't wait to leave so as far as I'm concerned anyone is welcome to the rest of my shifts:)

Hope everyone is enjoying there weekend .

Oh, I have a question. Is there anyone else except for me that keeps packing and repacking? I put things in take things out all the time. I have decided to live pretty much in shorts, tees and kick around pullover dresses for the week to lighten up my bag. Oh, and the swimsuits are getting ridiculous , I now have 7 packed, that's one for everyday, I even took one out. I am not doing well this time as far as being way ahead on the packing thing in fact I'm like you CG if I don't do it now I'm sure to forget things.

Ladies , I have to tell you about the great deal I got on Ebay . It is a stripped navy, yellow and white dress from Hanna Andersson that matches my girls, that I will be wearing for boarding . It was never been worn and the seller had a BIN for $8.99 . got it today and I LOVE it! The seller gave this away as far as I'm concerned. You should be able to pick us out from the crowd easily :) . A word a warning from Hanna they run huge, I have never been an XS small in my life!!!!

CG - Hope you're having better luck than I am filling out docs online - I keep getting kicked off the site! Guess Saturday is a bad time to be doing this. Nothing else to do it is actually SNOWING in PA! Thought it was supposed to be springtime - where was the snow when I wanted to go skiing?

No docs from FedEx yet.

Suzie - glad you had a safe trip home.

Kids are bored - I want to try to get them on the Teen/Tween thread.

Looking forward to meeting everyone when we board in three weeks!

Lisa

We will start packing probably next weekend. At least preliminary pack. But it is just us. Today we worked on who gets to babysit which animals. We have 2 'very opinionated Chinchillas, and 2 Grey Hounds and 1 Shephar/Husky mix dogs. Chins are going to a friend who has suguar gliders and the greyhounds go to grandparents. Harry and Rascal are old, so their spee is to walk around slowly and then lay down and rest. That sounds really bad, but just imaigne us on vacation. Cody, Shep/Husky , is going to be the problem. He will climb the fence, hence when he is back yard and un-supervised, he will go visit the neighboros dog, but can't get out of their yard. I think it is going to be boarding for Cody. The cats will get to the house with a frien checking on them. So big obstacle down today. Woo Hoo.

Yep, I keep looking at the things that I have packed and then I decide to take something out and put something else back in. I am gong to have to go through all of this right before we go to make sure that I actually have everything we need. Still hope to pack light - but it is not looking good.

Lisa - My kids were bored 10 minutes after they got home from school yesterday - what is going on?

Hope you can get your kids on the Tween/Teen thread. Kyle would love to chat with them. It looks like there are several other threads for kids sailing on other dates - pretty cool!

BTW - my doc's were delivered by UPS - not Fed Ex.

OHJulie :wave2:

OMGoodness! Y'all, I just got off the phone with Jon Rose to see how Sue was since she still hasn't been online. Seems she didn't have the flu but has pneumonia! He finally was able to talk her into going to the doctor this past week and is now in the hospital!!! She will be there at least until the end of next week. And they may not be able to make the cruise! What a shock!

Guys, I think we need to send some get well cards. Their address is on the yahoo site in the contact database.

I'm really worried about Sue. I'm still in shock that she's in the hospital! I kept wondering why she wasn't online and that's why I called to see how she was.

Sue, if Jon brings you your computer and you see this, know that we are praying for you guys. For a good, healthy recovery. Big, huge hugs to you!!!

OMG that is awful for Sue Rose. While I haven't gotten to know her besides reading these posts, I will send her a card. And prayers and pixie dust. I know how much they have been looking forward to the cruise. I've never had pneumonia, but some of my friends have and once diagnosed, they have recovered quickly and I hope the same for her.

Lisa

Haven't even begun to pack yet. About all I've done is bought the kids dress pants and some collar shirts from Old Navy which I've put in one section of their closets for easy location when we do pack. Also I've put the tankinis I'm taking in one pile - I am so behind everyone else! We always pack at the last minute anyway.

OhJulie, my kids are driving me crazy this weekend. Jimmy did reply to Kyle's e-mail but I want to set them up on the thread also. Jimmy plays electric guitar so he will definately relate to Kyle playing drums. Too bad they can't take them on the ship, LOL. I don't know about your son, but when my son practices guitar, he is LOUD!

Finally stopped snowing here

So one of my favorite things to do on the ship is go to the movies during dull times. I just noticed that RObin Williams 'RV' comes out the 28th. I really hope they have it on the cruise. It looks like it is cross between classic Williams and National Lampoons Vacation. One can hope.

Well, well well.....you guys have been busy while I've been away. Have to say I wasn't on vacation.

I had surgery last week and have been flat on my back  . I somehow got an unbilical hernia that I noticed about three weeks ago. I'd say it has something to do with that C-section I had 25 years ago. Always need to blame it on the kids  It was either go on the cruise nursing a hernia that was very painful and bothersome or get it fixed and go on the cruise nursing an incision. Needless to say, I won't be doing any bungee jumping this trip. I'm on the mend and should be back to work by the end of next week.

During all my troubles, my sister pulled her sciatic nerve and she has been flat on her back the last week. The muscle relaxers have finally kicked in and done their job though and she is back on her feet moving real slow (like me :teeth: ).

Your probably going to recognize us at the terminal by the wheelchair brigrade. Our family is teasing us saying that they will be pushing both of us onto the Magic in wheelchairs.

Sounds like maybe Sue Rose should join us in the wheelchair brigrade. Should we plan our own infirmary or recovery room on board? I was sorry to hear that she was in the hospital. If you read this Sue, just know that I'm pulling for you to have a speedy recovery. Its the pits to be sick and laid up, but even more so when it messes with your vacation. I'm sending get well QUICK thoughts your way :wave2: pixiedust:

Hey suzie, I would be happy to take some flowers and or ballons to the hospital with a card from the 4/29ers if you like. let me know ,I will then get in touch with Jon to find out what Hospital she is in unless you happen to know. I can even do that to tomorrow.

I'm so sorry to hear about Sue , we are in for whatever, flowers , cards, etc . If someone would be kind enough to e-mail me with the address that would be wonderful . I seem to be on and off at the other site , DH change our e-mail I had for there and it seems somedays I don't have a problem and other days I do . Let me know Suzie what you plan on doing and we will pitch in . OMG I hope they can make the cruise , how aweful, I feel so bad for them.

Well, this being my first fully awake day, Jon brought in a laptop so I could connect with the outside world.

Sadly, it looks like no cruise for The Roses. I have pneumonia, plus sepsis, plus a big pocket of pus in my lung. I am still in the coronary care step-down and even if I could get out of here in the next week or so, I will still need IV antibiotics several times a day for weeks. Besides my infectious disease docs would never let me get on a cruise ship with a bazillion children, much less leave the country.

I feel horrible; this was our long-awaited 10th anniversary trip. I've never been more exited about a trip, and all because you guys are so much fun. We were really looking forward to sharing our "hospitality suite" with you.

Oops gotta go. There's a stern-looking nurse here and I wonder if maybe laptops aren't permitted.

Sue

Sue , I am speechless , I didn't know you very well but I feel absolutely terrible. I am really at a loss for words right now , your health is so important , I hope you can do something with your cruise arrangements , I'm sure since you are in the hospital Disney should be very good too you. Please get better soon, we are all worried I'm sure.

Pat , So sorry to here about your misfortunes too . Gosh what is going on here . I feel we should lock ourselves in our homes till the day we leave.

I'm so sleepy tonight , I hope I made sense in this post , who knows :confused3

Good night everyone!

Sue , If there is anything I can do, let me know. Im soooooo sorry to hear about your illness. Tell ms. Nurse Ratchet not to get her pantyhose in a bunch , and take a disney cruise. :boat: the importain thing right now is for you to get better, get well soon and Sending pixiedust: your way

I hope your feeling better. Having any type of surgery is not fun. It alway seem that the recovery period takes forever. But look at the bright side, you can now have a Cabana boy at your beck and call to bring you all those tropical drinks. :cool1: :cool1:
Sending pixiedust: pixiedust: for you and your sister

Look forward in meeting you soon :cheer2:

Sue - I am so sorry to hear about your illness. We will be praying for you. Take care of yourself - we will miss you on the cruise.

Pat - I can't believe what you have had to go through! Just think though - you have a great excuss to lounge and eat, lounge and eat, all week.

Snoopy - I still have not made arrangements for our dog. Need to do that this week. She is so attached to us, everytime we go away she acts strange for a week or two when we get back

She is Back!!!

I do have to say, Sue I am so sorry that you and John will not be able to join us, but take care of yourself and we will all book on board so that we can celebrate a different anniversary with you. Health is the most important thing, and don't I remember you saying way back when that you knew you loved John, when in the hospital he said he could see your underwear? Get well soon and do know that we are all thinking of you and John.

Trish, the Queen is the one who says she is retired, I am just a repeater, I do know what she does for this family around the Palace, my goal for retirement is somewhere like Vero Beach, where there are kids programs all day, and the Queen can be the Matriarch that she is. I am glad that you and Suzie had a great time, I do look forward to hanging with you on board.

Suzie, thanks for keeping me informed on the long drive the past couple of days, it sure is easier to drive down to Florida then it is to drive home. Tell Ed that it was great to be able to see him at Vero and we definately will be hanging out on the ship, especially since we will all be having a designated driver.

Shyla, wait until you hear about my new friend who is the manager at Captain Hiriams down in Sebastian. We are going to be so hooked up if my boy comes through for us, oh this could be sweet.

Barb, tell Len it was great to hear him once, but gotta to tell you we need more Len. Also if there are any other Pirates out there it would be great to have you join in.

Pat, get better soon, if you are not there someone will probably have to drink Napa wine. Please don't make us do it.

Grumpy C Hook, Let me know if you need a couple of chairs, I will send over the Speedo swim team, and we have been known to clear many an area.

SteveMed, I hope you can live up to all the Hype, dude you are being put on a pedestal (mostly so the ladies can see the Banana Hammock).

IntheMood, I actually thought that you meant the Steve had Blue B*lls, my mind was so in the Gutter, but is that really so bad?

Pango, thanks for taking over the countdown whill the Queen was on Vacation, lets not be a stranger now.

I hope everyone else is doing great, I still have a bunch of reading to catch up on, and PhillyJen have a great time.

Tom pirate:

I woke up this morning to this . I must say if anything happens to me my girls will be all set. Barry is just like a kid, he had the girls all dressed up and ready for, WELL, I guess a joust. He does this kinda stuff with them all the time , I can only imagine what they will be tomorrow morning. We lost so many pictures from our computer, we had a ton of them like this . The hard drive has been at the shop for 4 weeks trying to retrieve all of our pictures.
