Jen , I'm also impressed that you can still wear something from when you were 8 years old, You go girl!

Rubysmom , great so when we done done at the Gym we can go have a drink and we will look like big time alcholics with our red faces :rotfl2:.

Well I'm going to try and go to bed now , this is really early for me , 12-1 o'clock is typical, but my girls have been waking me up every morning at 6:00 so I do need some beauty sleep , lots of beauty sleep I should say!

That stupid Mystery at Sea has me so wondering! I can't keep away from it and try to figure it out....I'm just not that smart! And the board chat is insane! So many theories, it boggles the mind!

Bed time! 11:36 and my light is green........

Trish- I sent you a pm- sounds like a great idea! I am so glad my 80's soccer jersey had an impact on Emma! And to think I wasn't going to post that pic.... :lmao:

The rolling cooler is so awesome! It has a flip top that your hand can fit thru to pull out a can without unzipping the whole thing.... I am wondering how this might change sea days on deck 10???? The only question is, which one of us has the balls enough to roll that thing onto the ship. I know it says over on the main board that people do it all the time, but I still wonder. Last night, the girls had it filled up with ice and the gallon of milk, rolling it around the kitchen like the ice cream man trying to sell us glasses of milk :rotfl:

The bathing suit saga is not over yet. I ordered another one (2)from Lands End last night- I love their suits. I ordered the faille suit with the skirty(that is what Katie calls them) bottom. I tried it on a Sears yesterday and fell in love with it at the last minute. It is really amazing how bathingsuits are not nearly as horrible as they once were, with the skirt and short options for the bottom. I didn't like the color so I decided to order it when I got home. Then I couldn't decide what color, so I got a solid and a print. So we'll see. This is what my mom and I call PBI(paralyzed by indecision). We both suffer from it, it isn't pretty when we go to the mall together :lmao:

Question: I know this was discussed earlier, but did we ever decide when and where our initial meet was going to be sometime on Saturday? Something tells me that we will probably all have picked each other out in the terminal, but just in case..... Is there a poll? Should we start one?

Alright-gotta go clean. Katie has a friend coming over with her not so well behaved twin brother and mom. They come for open ended playdates and it drives me nuts. I told them today that we have something to do at 2pm! Little fib.... Last time, they came at 4 and stayed until after 8!!!!!

Have a great day all!

I've thought about the meet-n-greet. Let's meet on deck 10 at the Outlook bar port side.....
mngpost.jpg

There are chairs and tables there to sit if you want, but the bar is closed. It makes for a quiet place. Let's meet around 2:00, then we can leave for the Lifeboat drill and come back afterward. It makes for a good spot for the sailaway party. It also allows for those who missed out on the 2:00 meeting! Does that sound good to everyone? I'd also like to do a get together at Castaway Cay, but will do details later.

Let me know if this sounds like a good idea to you! PLEASE, I want your input on this!!

Tori let me sleep til 7:30! Do you hear the angels singing?!?!?!?! Aaaaaaaaaa, aaaaaaaaaaa, aaaaaaaaa...... Feels good! I needed that sleep, maybe I won't be so exhausted today.

I love days when she doesn't have school. No slapping a bowl of cold cereal in front of her while rushing off to the shower. We have time for a nice breakfast. Maybe I'll make a David Eyre pancake...hmmmm, she does love those! Then we have to do laundry (the dreaded L word!) but at least it's only hers and one load of mine. The rest is done. Ed vaccummed for me the other day (yup, got himself a "get off the sofa free" card for that!) so I only have to dry mop the upstairs floors, clean the kitchen floor, get a shower, put the dishes away in the dishwasher, reload it, get Tori dressed, go to the grocery store, go by and see Dad to see how he's doing, come home and get Tori down for a nap or watch a movie with her - depends on her attitude, and start getting dinner ready (defrost the pork chops this morning and buy brussel sprouts at the store today - not too hard!).....Life is a list every day! Which is a good thing, because I am SUCH a list person!!!

I didn't vote in the polls about meeting ahead of time at WDW because we still don't know when we are going down. I would really like to have a couple of days at the parks first. But with the tickets the way they are right now, you can go for 7 days for about the same price as 3. The bargain hunter in me just can't let 4 days of tickets go to waste. :rotfl2: And with the hopper & water parks for free right now, it's like a higher power is trying to tell us to go for it. But we are a family of 5 so that means 2 rooms at Disney, which means instead of the kids staying free, we have to pay adult price for two of them. Even the new suites at the All Stars will come out to the about the same price as two basic rooms by the sounds of it.

We had to buy Tori a ticket this year and have only 1 day left on it, so we are not going to the parks prior to the cruise even though we are staying on property. This is our plan but plans are always subject to change. We had thought to spend the day relaxing and going to the pool. My friends from Tampa might come a visit us that day and come back once we get back from the cruise. They love WDW almost as much as I do! So any excuse to go is good for them! HAHA!! We really looked into staying at the port the day before and guess we should have but this gives us the opportunity to do things there at WDW that we haven't done before. Maybe putt-putt, DTD during the day (we've only been there at night or late afternoon) or maybe just to hang out and enjoy our resort. We haven't been to POFQ before so we are really excited about staying there. People have told me great things about it and I'm really excited! I LOVED PORI when Tori and I went in January and I can't wait to go back again with DH so he can enjoy it too!!!

Let us know what you decide so we can include you in on the meets - either at the park are or at the port area. Would LOVE to see you guys but I know we'll see you on the ship, too!

Whoops, hit enter before I was done! We will make a decision ASAP and hopefully be able to get in on some kind of meet. At the least we will be travelling down the day before. We have too many freak snowstorms up here to chance getting delayed and missing this cruise. Speaking of which, it's snowing here again. I love the snow in December & January, by March I'm really sick of it.

Brittany asked me the other day if the bracelets came yet. I was very confused because I hadn't told them about them. I forgot that she is emailing other kids on the cruise and they had been talking about them. They want to wear them to school, but I think the other kids might get a bit upset about the whole cruise thing. You know how kids are. I've told the kids to try not to talk about the cruise at school.

Brittany was talking with a girl in her class about WDW, and the girl asked about a certain hotel. Brittany told her which hotel that would be, and other information about it. Shylane asked when Brittany had stayed there. Brittany replied that she had never seen it before, but that Mom is such a big fan that the whole family knows lots of details. :lmao:  I didn't realise how much Disney discussion there is around this house.

posting from home with about 15 minutes sleep total last night - catrina has this thing going around - pukes, poops, and wicked high fever - life sucks today.

BUT - we made it to the accountant and it's a bonus year for tax return - thank you Catrina!!!!!!!! :cool1:

Suzie - I like the meet idea, I am still partial to the MIckey Pool for the initial meet, but having never been there, I have no idea how it would work.

We plan on skipping the Topsiders, PC decision altogether and heading to the pool first thing and grabbing those new awesome sandwiches at Goofy's Galley for food while the kids swim. Then if we need out buffet fix, one of us can go get a tray at our leisure. I don't do well with cattle herds for food. Freaks me out - and everything I read, it's a Mooo fest big time at Topsiders. So, if anyone cares to join us - please head there too. I am really looking forward to the Paninis and fruit there. We'll send the pirates over for trays of shrimp too.

But a meet at 2 up on Deck 10 will give them plenty of time in the pool if we get on at 12 and plenty of time to get changed again. So, it sounds great to me and I know it worked really well for you on your last cruise.

OK - I'm off to try and catch some ZZZZZZZs TTFN!

I concur. Deck 10 portside at 2:00 and then again after the drill for the sailaway. :thumbsup2

I also love your idea of a meet at CC. Nice place to have our last yucks together

As to walking the ship...I'm with ya :cool1: Walking is one of my favorite pasttimes. I love to get up in the morning and walk around town. When I was in Santa Cruz my niece walked with me and she promised that she would get up in the morning on the ship and walk with me. The gym will probably elude me, but promenadeing on Deck 4 or on Deck 10 is right up my alley. :yay: :yay:

AWESOME!!! Another time to chat and get to meet up!!! Although, I get puffy winded if I walk too fast and talk. That's how I know that I'm doing good exercise...feel like the Big Bad Wolf sometimes..."I'm gonna huff and I'm gonna puff...." So alot of chat may not happen. I'm hoping that this will be the time that Ed takes Tori to play, so that I can have time to myself. If not, we have the stroller and her MP3 so she can listen to HER music....that's how we walk at home...me and my Ipod, Tori and her MP3.....add Ed and his Ipod and you have a picture of us on the airplane!!! My friend laughs at us and says we really look the part of the Family 2000....not talking and listening to our own music....mine is usually Kelly Clarkson for the rhythm (especially for walking!) or Castaway Cay to put me in zone or asleep....

Emailed my TA - boy, I'm glad I did! I will have to bring a letter from my doc stating how far along I am....didn't think about that one!

Ed is going to the bank after work today to get our cash money out....yes, I plan things way ahead like this! I will put all the money in different envelopes for everything, so I know what they are, but this is a check off my cruise list!! Woohoo!! Makes things go a bit faster when I don't have to worry about things so much!

I took the mail out to the mailbox and Tori locked the screen door on me....again....at least this time she figured out how to unlock it! Last time I was outside screaming at her through the glass to turn the lock. The workmen next door were laughing - yes, laughing - at me! I was so angry I almost knock the glass out of the door!!! And we had just had it installed the week before - special order, too, doncha know! So we had a talk about touching the door when mommy is outside. She hadn't done it in a long time but today she got a wild hair up her butt to be mean....she was on the verge of shutting the front door too! At least that I have a hidden key outside our house....yes, I've locked MYSELF out of the house before....long and painful story....nope, not gonna tell ya....

Anyway, gotta go to the grocery store. Change of plans for dinner.....Boboli pizzas with chicken, cheddar and broccoli for one and taco chicken on the other....YUMM!!! Ed asked me after his stress test this morning if we could have those....he really doesn't ask for specific dinners, so he really must want this!

Awwww, she came down from her room to give me a big hug and kiss and told me "I'm berry, berry sorry, mommy"....awwww.....

Suzie , I'm, one step ahead of you LOL:) . I have 3 envelopes , actually 4 , one with the travelers cheques , I got those 4 weeks ago , 1 with the money and 1 with the Disney dollars. The other hold a little money for my retirement for the Summer :yay: . I am not a power walker Suzie so I think we will be just fine.

Deck 10 sounds good to me , I may do the same as CG and park my rear there and just grab a snack , and like she said if we get hungry for more , the girls and I will send Daddy for a tray from Topsiders , I'm sure he will want to go there anyways.

Oh , I met a nice gentlemen at the gym today , he was 65 so hopefully he was trying to pick me up  . He works for ESPN as a coordinator , he was telling me all about the ESPN bar on the ship , apparently he travels every week for them but he said not usaully any place warm, just got home from Iceland and Denmark. I thought what a cool job , I would be in my little Heaven!!!

Well it's my night to work so off to the shower I go. I love working only twice a week but I have to tell you I'm, so looking froward to my last day April 15th !!!!

posting from home with about 15 minutes sleep total last night - catrina has this thing going around - pukes, poops, and wicked high fever - life sucks today.
Geez, somehow I missed your post. I'm sorry Catrina's under the weather...hopefully it passes soon.

The Mickey pool area is not really big. And it gets crowded on sail away day, but not as bad as I've heard on some trip reports! It's a very fun pool and where we will probably be most of the time on sea days! Tori loves to be able to run in the water and fall face first....not! That was the problem last year so hopefully she will just play with the other kids and her pool toys I bought.

Can I give you guys a hint for lunch that day? Don't go to Topsiders. Everyone goes there....go to Parrot Cay. It's the same food but not near as crowded!

I'm really looking forward to seeing the fireboats and all the other boats lead the ship out of dock. I missed it last time (DUH!) and really want to this time. The one thing that was really cool and made me cry was seeing the DCL terminal CM's don their big Mickey gloves and wave the ship off. See! I'm getting teary-eyed just typing it! Hormones, yeah, that's it....I'm not a sissy, I'm not a sissy, I'm not a sissy....

DSCN0103.jpg

This was the last CM to go inside on our way out to sea!

Just finished watching World's Best Cruise Ships. They had the Wonder on but it was still MAGICal for me! Seeing Castaway Cay was breathtaking - especially when I saw what looked like Tom doing the hammock run! I swear it was him!!!!! Just kidding...but it was really good. I don't remember having seen this one before.

There was another one that had the Magic on it, from a different year maybe. I believe it was best family cruise too. I didn't get it taped and lost it though. Hopefully they will play the rerun sometime soon.

A meet and greet sounds great. My girls are like little fish: Im sure they will want to hit the pool ASAP. Im looking forwards to meeting everyone(deck 10/2:00) As soon As we embark, I will be making a quick dash to see if DH and I can get reservation for thurs night instead of friday for palo. This is our first cruise Im so excited. I feel like a kid in a candy shop :woohoo: :woohoo: :yay: :yay:

Im a walker as well, count me in.

there was a posting awhile ago talking about wines, Someone mentioned oregon wines. I live in oregon wine county. Im not a wine drinker, but I would be happy to bring a couple of bottles.

well, I better get back to writing my 5 page argument paper on mercury free denistry. :surfweb:

Hi Littletink, I would love more company walking, I'm so excited now !!
This is our I can't remember but I think my 8th cruise and they seem to get better eveytime , well minus the last one , it was just o.k and I really didn't care for the Western Caribbean. I think this one is going to be hands down my favorate , especially with having all these new friends and friends for my girls . They too are little fishies , Holly does back dives on the top steps of our pool , and they have not had floaties in 2 years , they love to swim underwater and dive for coins, and they are only 4 . I'm a proud Mommy!

I did really try to take a day off from the boards, honest I did! I got up this am and realized I HAVE to do something that gets me away from the board for a day, or I'll never get anything done around the house! I type in the mornings and having the boards up in another window is just too tempting, so it takes me hours to finish typing what should only take me 45 minutes. Sadly, I kept so busy with housework today that I didn't get on the treadmill today (trust me, it wasn't enough housework to break a sweat)...weigh-in is tomorrow morning! :sad2: Such a bad, bad girl. So, here I am unable to stay away for a full 24 hr period cuz I missed y'all so much! :goodvibes

Let's get started...

CG--I hope Catrina gets over this quick! That crummy ick has been going around here too. A friend's little princess who's about 9 months old just got over it and she was puking and pooping all over the place too. It only lasted a cpl days though. I definitely feel for you, and for Catrina!

Jen--Emma was so excited! We sent a note off right away. All these 7-9 yo girls are going to be like this by the end of the cruise! :grouphug:

Suzie--I've already put the 2pm Deck 10 thing on my lovely, very complex, itinerary which I so shamelessly copied from the other site (Thanks, CG! LOVE IT! :) ). Thanks for the link on Disney TV shows. No Travel Channel here, but it's good to keep checking...I think we have History and Discovery Chan?

We're planning to 'putt-putt' too!--on Sunday the 7th, if anyone is still around then...say late morning, 11 am-noon? Haven't decided which place. Any suggestions?

Barb--Not sure how much of your trip is set in stone yet, but pkgs can be a good deal, even thru Disney directly with the MYW tickets & dining. Have you been to mousesavers? Looks like PORI has a section of rooms that sleeps 5 (5th on a small trundle bed, but it might work), rack rates less than 2 value resort rooms. Also, if you have CAA you might be able get a good room only price too.
As far as Disney rubbing off on your kids, my DS cringes when any of his friends or their parents mention an upcoming Disney trip in my presence. He just knows it gets me all excited 'n tingly inside :hyper: and I have to restrain myself from offering right there on the spot to take them out for coffee so I can "share" my Disney travel planning expertise and advice. DS just rolls his eyes like, 'here we go again'. Lately, I've been able to simply say in my gentlest voice, that Disney is a wonderful place and I'd be happy to answer any questions they may have. The medication is helping I think. :lmao:

Parrot Cay/Topsiders: Topsiders is chaotic I hear, so I'd have to agree...I was planning on lunch at Parrot Cay that day. The Goofy Galley sounds interesting, though--I hadn't read about it before. I had to ck the official site because it's not listed in my DCL "Bible". Obsessive, sorry!

Tink, I hope you can get the Palo time you want! Sounds like people often reserve more times than what they'll actually use, so slots open up later, which is nice.

Ohso, I love that the promenading party is taking shape. (hee, hee, snort, snort-I just got that!) We will be a fun-lovin' bunch strolling around that ship!

Now to bed, to dream of Julie's countdown pics with the numbers dropping before my very eye-lids! :cloud9:
