No, your light's not always on
You know, that just really doesn't sound right, does it?!

See, the problem is that the only time I see it, it is on!!! You know what they say, the lights are on but no one's home!!! BAAAHAAAAHHHAAAHHAAA!!

The Board unanimously voted to approve Align Consulting and Management as the property manager ( and I'll say you were competing with some very good property managers).
This email was waiting for me when I got home from picking up Tori today! WOOHOO!! This is the big contract we have been waiting to hear about!!! This is what will be paying our bills!

Suzie & Ed, that is SOOO COOOl!!! I definitely know that feeling of hoping for the big contract, especially when it's your bread & butter, not just a 'company thing'! I'm so happy for you both! Way to go! :thumbsup2

and good morning BTW! :sunny:

Tom, you are sweet! May not be necessary as more have been requested since I first got my info from CG (including yours, thanks!) so we may be just fine. I'll still hold out for April 1st and see if more requests or changes come in.

Julie, I always look forward to those countdown pics, knowing you'll find something that will make me chuckle. Thankyou!

OHso, I'm thinking about a little exercise on board too. I've been really good about working out EVERY morning for the past month (except wknds, which I may add soon) and it feels so good to start my day that way. I might join you once or twice, okay?

And speaking of getting in shape, I've decided to hold off on the swimsuit shopping until the 20-day mark. It's so depressing that I'm hoping I won't cringe :scared: when I look in the mirror in the dressing room if I wait until I've lost a bit more wt.

CG, thanks for your efforts. No problem, if you don't have it I'll just keep looking on ebay. SOMEONE in this country who is online has a copy and I will find them :sail: ;)

Suzie, congrats on the contract!! :cool1: :thumbsup2  :cheer2: :woohoo: :yay: party:

I think I've used up all the smileys I can find that fit.

Have a great day everyone.

Question for all, looking at doing another beach day in St. Thomas, we are thinking about Meaghans or Saphire and then again how to go about getting there and back, need some feedback.

CG, your check is being picked up by the Mail Carrier today, sorry it has taken so long, if you need more let me know. Also, we will be at the Ron Jon on Thursday and Friday night before the Cruise, but since we are flying we won't have a car, we could still take a Taxi over to Grills or wherever you think is appropriate (the Ron Jon is awesome just a thought).

OK - I have stuff to say, but I have to take a LMAO break here for a minute with the Lobstah night crack :lmao:

OK - pulling myself back together again here.

Tom, Paul and took a taxi to Meghan's Bay last trip to St. Thomas - it's as easy as pie. You step off the ship and you are marauded by taxi drivers wanting to take you there. The cost is about $8 per person, I think. It's a bumpy, narrow, steep ride over there - but as is everywhere on St. Thomas. We personally did not like the beach - but it was a cloudy day and that may have affected our opinions - needless to say, we will be doing something different this go round.

I have been watching Saphire and it got hit with the Hurricane pretty badly - a lot of the beach erroded - BUT, the last report I have is from November. This is a beautiful beach and the beach club allows you to have a day pass which gives you towels, chairs, and a place to change. I haven't looked into it in a while since I have pretty much settled on our course of action for the day.

If you guys are interested, and I hadn't put this shout out to you because last I knew you were taking the ferry to St. John, rubysmom's family and we will be taking a taxi to Coki and Coral World. I don't remember if anyone else is coming too - I think that ohso may have mentioned it once too.

This is tentative because who the hell knows what we really will be doing with a one year the day after St. Maarten and the Pirate Party and early immigration - for all I know we will be saddled up to the bar on the ship or at Mountain Top with her passed out in her stroller.

No need to apologize, Tom, I wasn't looking for the check. After all, I know a good knee breaker in Rhodie (Rhode Island for all you non eastcoasters). :teeth:

I was going to ask you whether or not the whole flying in thing still held. So, yes, apparently it did. So, since it's probably just us around that night, we can come to you. (pending results of my assinine poll since I already knew it was just us) Tell me how it works - do we get passes to come into the resort? Um, can we float on the water being your guests??? I have always wanted to do that lazy river. Do they have a restaurant - should we bring in food? I am totally willing to go pick up crabs and bring crabs and beer in for your big group :hyper:

Speaking of which, since you don't have a car do you need me to do a packy run for you??? (you have to start learning the lingo if you really want to be President of the fan club) Is there anything else I can get you guys in Cocoa Beach???

rubysmom, did you put a post on the main threads page? There is probably somebody out there that has the map you need. You might even be able to get a scan of one and get it printed at a copy place. Most people who keep things from that far back are probably the type to want to keep it, but they might scan it for you. On a basic scanner you would have to scan it in chunks and then piece it together later. Just a thought.

I would LOVE to have company , I think I am more apt to go if someone else comes along:)

we are planning now on doing Coral World on our own , this way we can do that and Coki Beach at our leisure. Rubysmom , are you also doing that? We have been snorkeling in St Johns many times and I really want the girls to see Coral World.

Congratulations Suzie on the contract . we are in the same boat , if the company gets big contracts then the bonus goes up . DH is still looking at a contract in New Orleans this summer. I don't think being alone with the girls during the summer will be as bad as it is now.

Suzie - Congratulations on the contract! What an exciting day for you!

Well, I'm supposed to be on the way to the airport to go to Chicago, but I already got a notice that the flight is delayed an hour. What's going on out there? The weather is cold but sunny here. Probably delays on the east coast slowing things down. This is a quick trip, in today and home by 5:00 tomorrow.

I am impressed by those of you who are planning to exercise on the cruise. The only thing I really plan to do is Yoga at CC (if they still offer it). I may try to workout once or twice, but knowing me it won't happen.

Have a good day!

OHJulie

I like to try to go walking on deck 4 and Ed works out in the gym. I do like their treadmills there with tv's for each one! And the view overlooking the bridge and the front of the ship is really amazing. Everyone should do it at least once!

No view over the bridge anymore since the renovations. I think that's the only bummer in the drydock stuff.

I have not seen the Yoga on CC - that would be very nice.

Hi Julie

I know that here in NY the winds are gusting up to 50 miles per hour and it was like a blizzard earlier . DH said in MD it is also quite windy,

Luckly I have only about a 5 minute drive to the gym . I really want to go tonight since I ate more today then I would have liked . Stouffers has a very good spinach souffle and I ate the whole darn thing!!! I think I am now addicted to the gym. I'm sure this phase won't last , it never does .

Wow , everyone is posting away today . The gym sounds amazing with wonderful views. I am going to try to go early in the morning , does anyone know if it is open 24/7? I have never tried yoga but if they have it I'll try it.

Bathing suit mission accomplished! And I must say-I didn't vomit!!!! Didn't even come close. It was the first suit I tried on too! Also got the rolling martini bar/cooler and some clothes for Hannah! All in all it was a productive day-of course my kids breakfast dishes are still on the table :confused3

It is very windy here today. I am so annoyed with this wind, it seems to never stop. I guess I am annoyed by it because it makes my dog nuts. Right now he is in the doggie fetal postition curled around HGP's computer....I think the hum makes him feel better! Poor guy!

Going to go try on my suit....again....cause you know Lord and Taylor has "skinny circuis mirrors".... I may hate it in a real mirror!

Suzie- That is AWESOME news! Makes this whole vacation spending thing seem a little easier to take doens't it?

Have a great afternoon all!
PJ

Ohso, Tom and of course, CG, (all of you 4/29ers for that matter) the 'on our own' Coral World/Coki Beach plan is pretty solid for my little group, so COME ON DOWN!!! Plus, CW has a super deal at the gate for a family ticket $52 for 2 adults & up to 4 kids (child age 12 & under). Tack that on to the taxi and you've got an excursion for 6 at about $150--sounds good to me!

Barb--I haven't put anything on the regular boards yet. Last nite I tried to find an appropriate thread already started, but could not, so I guess I'll just have to post it in general. Thanks for the suggestion!!

PJ--congrats on finding the perfect suit, and on the first try too! From the sounds of things you are a hottie anyway, so I'm sure no matter what you put on will look 'fabu', circus mirrors or not. :)

CG--"Crabs you eat" (sorry, didn't use the quote function) I actually snorted for the first time on this thread!! DH was right here on a conference call too! :lmao: Figures I would snort at something like this, since I work in OBGYN, lol. Okay enough already...sorry! :rotfl2:

Ohso & Suz--I'm in! For the gym & deck 4 walking! What is the view now that the drydock changes took place? Can you still see outside or just a wall?

Partypat--found my pennies! (that's pennies, not marbles, y'all!) :teeth: Was missing 3 Disneyland 50th anniv pennies 1966, 1990 & 2003 (machine was broken), ckd w/Pat last night, but I've found someone who will get them for me! It's like a VMK quest or something, I swear! I'm so happy!! :cool1:

It's SOOO windy here too! Just had brunch w/a friend and this is what I felt like in my truck on the way there & back: :teleport:

ok back to work! :surfweb:

Back from the gym and I think I have lost my mind there . 30 minutes on the elliptical is not long enough anymore , I did 52 minutes today at 170 steps per minute . It was funny thou because I was wondering why everyone was looking at me funny . I went to the mirror and I was red as an apple , I mean red not pink !!! . I wanted to do some wrights but I really looked scary .

Rubysmom . Wow , how much is the tazi ? It can't be almost $100.00 is it ? If it is it really went up since I've been there.
I can't wait , now I have a workout buddy YIPPY , or buddies I should say :yay: :yay:

Jen , thats awesome , wow first try ! The wind here is aweful . My skin felt like an alligator last week , it was so bad I had to find something quick that would make that disappear , I did and Wow , it is like a miracle , really a miracle !!

HaHAHAHAHAHAH!! Yeah right- how is this for hottie! I am really putting myself out there by posting this pic....but it cracks me up! I am wearing my old soccer jersey circa 1980(I was 8), and there is Hannah also wearing it! Oh and my bong helmet!! This pic was taken after MANY glasses of wine one night with my girl friends! And you can see that I ripped the shirt under the one arm just by putting it on!! At least I had taken my cowboy boots off prior to the picture being taken :lmao: :lmao: I swear you could lock me in a room and I could amuse myself for hours!

Jen, I'm just impressed that you could PUT ON something you wore when you were 8 years old, boots or no boots! :rotfl2: LOVE the green, gold and pinK together!!

Ohsodis, I'm basing that on what the Coral World website says about $8 pp from Havensight, so I assumed that was one way, so for 6 people that's $48 one way, $96 round trip? Please tell me there's a cheaper option that doesnt involve anything illegal or ritualistic and I'll take it!

DH always teases me about how red my face gets when I workout. I've never done more than 40 min on the treadmill at a time, but I do get red! We can freak out the other people in the gym... :bitelip: :rotfl2:
