We got our bracelets!!!

The kids and I had to go into the bathroom and see how they glow. I won't be needing to order any more, these should be fine.

We really got a lot of work done this weekend. We got the bathroom built, plastered & painted. I layed the flooring last night & my husband has all the plumbing done. Tonight after work he will hook everything up. Brittany's room is ready to paint, and Caity & Ben's rooms are ready to start the plastering process. I can't believe how much we got done since Friday. Not bad for a bunch of amateurs. The basement was just a bunch of boxes when we started. Don't know what I'd do without family. Leonard has taken holidays before to help with different jobs for my sisters, so I guess it's time we can call in the favours. He's taken holidays to help dig a dugout for my sister's cattle, or to shingle another's house, etc.

When I was looking for paint this weekend I walked past the clearance area of the toy department. They had Disney Princess personal DVD players clearance for $75. They are so cute. I wish they would have had things like that back when my girls were small. It would have made those 12-14 hour drives back up north a lot easer to handle.

B&RM, I love the pics of the day! Every day I print them out and hang them on my office door. My colleagues are getting ready to hang me.

Yesterday I was asked to pick up a few extra nights on the next call schedule. I mentioned that I would not be available the first week of May, and my department chair said, rather dryly, "Yes. We know. In 48 days."

We got our braclets! They fit great and we immediately went into the shower, which was the only dark place we could find, to see them glow. (We are easily entertained, the Pirate and I). CG, we are sending you money.

We are getting ready to put in the wine order. The Pirate is a fan of the Coppola diamond series; I like a good Oregon mueller-thurgow, which I can't even spell this early in the morning. But it's a light, crisp white wine. What about the rest of you? Pat, I think you're in the business, right? What do you recommend?

CG . Great pic , I love it . Unfortunately I will probably not be doing to Spa this time around. I did a few on RCCL and I was not that impressed , not for $150.00 for the massage at least. We are going to try and spend more time with the girls when they are not in the Club and when they are I think we are going to relax and save the Spa money for some more drinks this time. We did drink much at all on the last cruise , which was fine because we did so many shore excursions. The Ariel Trek/Cave tubing alone was $150..0 a piece. The only thing I may have to book is a hair appointment , which by the way I will probably have horrible looking hair for this cruise , I am trying to grow it out and it is right now at that Godawful stage , but I am refusing to cut it this time.

I just called Delta to check the flight home again and I cannot believe this! . Our flight leaves at 12:12 , gets into Atlanta at 2:30 and doesn't leave there till almost 7:30 . I am furious , it was originally scheduled to arrive here at 4:30 . what the ? I am never flying them again . Our flights down on JetBlue are amazing . 6:00 am flight arriving Orlando at 11:00 , hasn't changed since September when I booked it . Delta has changed 4 times!!!!!!

The Roses . Don't worry about us , we are not big wine connoisseurs. DH never drinks it and I have have a small glass. This means more for Jen.

It is a blizzard here , can't believe it went form 65 to snowing!

Good Morning, all! I have received the 'baton' from CG and have looked into the whole ordering process. Here's the deal.

As CG has explained before, they have a minimum order of 20 per size.

With the current requested order consisting of Lgs, Meds & Smalls, it would cost about $129, at $2.15 per band. After everyone paid, I would have 38 leftover bands for a total excess expense of $61.

If we could get everyone into at least 2 sizes (rather than 3), it would cost about $88, at $2.20 per band. After everyone paid, I would have 18 leftover bands for a total excess expense of about $40.

In both cases, I could hope to 'sell' the remaining bands on board or as the cruise approaches or whatever, but either way $40-$60 is A LOT for anyone to have to 'eat'. In fact, I simply won't take the chance for the large order, but would consider it for the smaller order. So here's my plan:

1. Would everyone who is interested in ordering this time around PLEASE go to reminderband.com, click on the order tab, and then on the right hand side of the page, click on the link: 'Try on a reminderband first!'. This will open a word document you can print out, cut out the sample sizing strips and try them on. I've saved a copy of this document, so if you'd rather, you can PM me with your email addy and I can send it to you that way.
2. Then PM me with a new size request, for example : "We prefer 2 larges, but would be okay with 2 mediums." Or, "We absolutely need 2 smalls." Even if you're already absolutely certain of your size needs and have informed CG, please PM me again anyway, just so I don't miss anyone.
3. I will wait to order until April 1st, just in case more requests come in from this group or any more newbies. I'll confirm with everyone via PM before ordering.

Please be patient with my OCD-ness, everyone. It's the only way I can keep it all straight. (If only I was this organized in my housework! ) It will be so great when we're all on the ship, seeing these bracelets everywhere and knowing they mean 'friends'.

Oh, I forgot...Thanks, Barb for letting us know you got your bracelets. So glad they arrived safe & sound.

Once when I was young and quite silly, I broke up with a Canadian guy (I lived near the border, still do) and actually mailed his gold ring back to him in a bubble mailer. Of course he never got it and I had to pay him back. What an idiot I was!

Anyway, I'll check that off my bracelet order to-do list!

Maria - Have you checked to see if Delta has an earlier flight from Atlanta? If there is one with seats available they should move you to the earlier flight at no charge since they have moved the times so drastically. I am not sure what the exact time is, but I know that if the airline changes the time by more than say 15 minutes they are required to acommodate you if possible.

I just had to do the same thing with Continental - we are actually getting back 2 hours earlier that originally planned.

Ohso- you have inspired me to start my spring cleaning! I have realized that my house is not company ready at any time during the day. And by that I mean, could someone come to the door without me being mortified at what they will see? And in the spring/summer, people are always stopping by to say hello on walks, bikerides, etc..... So-I have done this before and was successful, but got away from it, but I am starting up with flylady again. Is anyone aware of this program? It is awesome. This woman, for free, provides the Domestically Challenged with step by step guidance to cleaning and keeping your home clean and clutter free! Sing it sista! I usually have to spend a great majority of Saturday making my house company ready. It takes every ounce of energy we have left over to clean the kitchen every night after kids go to bed so the toys don't get picked up because in the hour I have to play with the kids at night I don't want to spend it yelling at them about this (well, that would be yelling at my son since Catrina really can't get the concept although, she is the biggest culprit). It's shortchanging them for later in life, I know, but I just don't have it in me to make him pick up his toys every night before bed.

I have done Fly Lady and it is very nice and extremely effective but totally didn't speak to me, the out of the house all day mother. I have my shoes on every day by 7:30 am and don't need to be reminded to do that daily. I love to shine my sink and do this regularly and live by the 15 minute mantra which works very well.



Ok - just did my first WW meeting - it's nice. I was very confused by Core and Flex - I know you have talked about Core, Jen - but I found it confusing there in the time frame we had. I was scared to do it and just fall back on my old Atkins habits - so I went with Flex.

Hi Julie , I asked and they do not have any flights earlier , so my newest and latest brainstorm was to leave on Tuesday instead and rent a car to Port Charlotte Fl and visit Barry's Mom there so she doesn't have to come to Disney . All in all it would only cost us after canceling with Delta $180..00 more. Well DH popped my bubble and said he probably can't take more time off. Now I am considering staying down there with the girls for 2 more days at Disney and possibly utilizing my Dads Budweiser tickets and take them to Sea World , I'm sure this isn't going to fly either but hey I can dream.

Jen , That's a neat site , does she give different tips daily? I think I was on a roll yesterday because it was so warm , and today I slacked off but still managed to get some things accomplished . I am planning on doing the upstairs now right before we leave and the packing mess is all in the luggage ..
Here's a quick tip . If you invite people over once a week you can insure that your house gets organized right before they come , thus you have a clean house every week! Thats what I do so I can get DH to help , invite the friends!

WOOHOO , I just got my Sephora order!!! I love buying through them before a vacation . I always pick 3 perfumes samples for my free gifts so I have a new scent everyday, it's better then buying a few bottles . I LOVE the Philosophy shampoo's , this time I got the waffle cone , but in the past I have purchased the Cinnamon Buns, Papaya, Margarita, Gingerbread Man , ETC , love em, love em, love em!

Suzie , I voted on your poll , the only problem for us is we have a dinner reservation at Hoop dee doo Review, I think it is 7:00 or so . We can meet anytime during the day , either Downtown Disney which is great because I want my hot fudge sundae there, or at Animal Kingdom Lodge , I have a soft spot for there since we are staying there .
Can you all tell I gave up on cleaning since I have posted here what, 5 times today already!
Off to the gym soon , I am completely stuck at 130 I can't lose those 2 darn extra pounds to save my life . I'm sure by the time we cruise you will all see me at 140 because I am going to pig-out once I get to Disney!

Ohso-That is exciting. Wow you are really organized aren't you! I have never ordered thru them, our mall, King Of Prussia has a Sephora. I get overwhelmed in the store, maybe the web would be less overwhelming! Margharita shampoo sure sounds good! I used to joke that my hair smelled like a walking fruit salad!

We watched the Disney Cruise DVD today and can I tell you, I must be hormonal, I cried thru the whole thing. Picture Chevy Chase in Christmas Vacation trapped in his attic wrapped in a feather boa to keep warm, crying like a baby over family movies.....yeah that was me today! Katie kept talking and I was like.....QUIET. Like this was all about her or something...

CG- I did flylady when I worked for GM. I did find her tips a bit annoying as I never had time to do all that she was suggesting and work and raise my kids....BUT-I did find many of the principals very helpful, especially as a working mom. I still use my control journal, but sometimes things actually get lost in there cause I forget about it! I just went there today bc she actually helps organize vacaiton planning into a non stressful planning event(imagine that). But now as a work at home mom, I have turned into the biggest cleaning and general housekeeping slouch. I figure there is always tomorrow(which is an awful attitude-nothing ever gets done that way). It's been a year now and I figure I'd better get my act together!

My New Years Resolution was to clean a drawer or a shelf or a whole closet each week. That lasted for about 3 weeks. But, I must say that I am anxious to stay home this weekend and clean my garage so I can fit my new car in it. Good incentive Maybe I'll get on a roll I'll have to check out this Fly Lady.
