Darn it you guys , our computer did go down last night . It wouldn't reboot this morning . Once again I am on the office loaner . I am praying that we didn't lose any of our pictures but I will not know until possibally next week . We tried to backup the photos but kept coming up with errors .

I hate computers !!!!!!

But can't live without one :O)

Hi all.I saw one of the best cocerts of my life last night(Billy Joel). Boy the old man can still rock.

Castlegazer.sorry for your loss.

Could someone pm me with the yahoo site so I can check it out....thanks

CG - I am so sorry for your loss. Hopefully the family issues will work themselves out.

Partypat- I told my DS Kyle about your nephew and he would love to get in touch with him. If you would like I can PM his e-mail to you and they can get to know each other a little bit before the cruise. By the way, loved your pictures.

PhillyJen - your girls are soo cute! I noticed the American Girl dolls. Will they take them on the cruise? My DD will defintely have hers. We ought to plan a tea party for the girls and dolls!!

CG and Paul, sorry for your loss...even after being sick for so long it still hits a sore spot. When my parents died and we divided everything our family dealt with it in a loving way. We each took turns (including the Grandchildren) picking something that was special to us. Some things already had our names taped to the bottom. I think everyone should do that. That way theres no hard feelings.
I hear so many horror stories of families fighting over the material things. Its not worth it.

OhJulie, please PM me Kyles email. I know my nephew isn't on the computer a lot, but I will call and tell him that Kyle will be emailing. It would be great for them to know someone before we board.

SteveMed, Billy Joel....what a great concert that must have been. I would love to see Elton John. They say he still puts on quite a show. Last summer I went to 3 great concerts in one month. I saw The Eagles up close and personal. I knew every song. Then went to a Dave Mathews concert the next weekend. Then I saw the Rolling Stones with Metalica as the starting show. I have to say that Mick Jagger still has it. He puts out so much energy on stage. I'm sure the half time show will be good today.

Suzie, hang in there and just enjoy the time you have with your Grandmother and ask lots of questions about her life. I still tell stories to my kids about their grandparents...I wish I had asked more questions.

Oh, and by the way my niece Stacy has been lurking for a couple of weeks now. I'd say we all need to call her out so you can get to know her :stir: So Stacy if your out there, we're waiting :hourglass Take the plunge, join in on the fun

And by the way Suzie and CG, how did you get rooms next to each other? :confused3 Did you know each other before you booked?

The Roses, I like your style, BAM

No - it's just a weird coincidence, We linked dinig last summer prior to even knowing we were next to each other - it was just for our kids.

Thanks guys for all the thoughts - good ideas too, but these fights have been going on long before I came into the picture.

I woud have loved to go to the Billy Joel concert!

gotta go, Catrina just fell asleep in my arms.

partypat...A few years ago I saw Elton John and Billy Joel together. They did a tour with both of them. They did some of each others songs as well as thier own,it was great.

Lost with my semi-support of a team, lost the grid pool, man, but, it was a good game!!!!

I had fun! Even if Tom Brady wasn't playing.

Guys I forgot to say that our tires, or actually just one tire, got slahsed this morning on our car right in our driveway!

I called the police - they asked me of I knew who did it? Well, now if I knew that I certainly wouldn't be calling you, I would be nailing their toenails to a wall now wouldn't I be?
I guess when you live in a big city, it's kinda stupid to call the police about something like this - they have much better stuff to occupy their time with.

No, we didn't know anything about the rooms! Very strange, indeed. We hooked dining ressies because of the ages of our children. Let the kids know each other better, etc. Oh, and our last names are kinda close. {insert Twilight Zone music here} Things seemed to work out good though, being two doors away! Odd indeed....

Got a message this morning that Grandma fell out of bed last night trying to get up to go potty. Her friend Ann found her this morning around 10 am when she came by to ask if she wanted to go to church downstairs (they live in a assisted living building.) Thank God she checked on her. Now we are doing the "round the clock" thing with her. Not to be left alone someone will be with her all the time. She's really embarassed about it. We're just all concerned. Thursday can't come too quick for me!

Saw the game tonight. Good game....glad the Steelers won....ads were okay. My favorite were the two guys in the locker room with the Sprint/Nextel phone that had "theft deterrent"! The other one I liked I only caught part of but it was two doctors over a patient and something about a fly. They zapped it, I guess, with emergency paddles and then proclaimed "That killed him" while the family of the patient walked in....sick humor but it was funny.

Good night everyone.

Stevemed, check your email.

Cg, thats awful....what would someone gain from ruining your tire? I live in a small town and no one escapes, if they stick around. One time my truck was hit in the middle of the night and they tore the bumper off. When I saw it in the morning there happened to be a piece of the other car laying under my truck. A few days later I was driving thru town and happened to see a car with a piece missing off of it. Yep....it was the piece I found. It was a guy that worked at the gas station and he fessed up and made good on the repairs when I threaten to take the piece to the police station. Living in a small town has some advantages, unless their tourists. They seem to be the worst. Hoatie toatie wine drinkers. Ha Ha. And most of them seem to be yuppies driving VERY expensive cars with all the designer clothes to match. When I travel, I wonder
if the locals think that of me? Then again I can't afford to drive a Ferreri or a Jag. And as to designed clothes, the closest I get is knock offs.

SteveMed, Billy Joel and Elton John, how lucky were you?

What did you guys think of the Rolling Stones? I'd say that they were off on a note or two, but they're energy made up for it. Mick must just collapse after each performance. He's getting up there. 62 years old. He was born on 7-26-43. I did notice when he took his coat off that he was a little flabby under the arms. I guess we all have that problem when age sets in, even if your Mick Jagger!

Suzie, THANKS :thanks: for the packet you sent. How cool are you to think of me on your vacation. It was a wealth of information that I wouldn't have found on my on ahead of time.

Well, I have to say that I have the cleanest house on the court. I borrowered a rug shampooer from my co-worker to do one (1) room and guess what.....I couldn't stop my self....did the whole house

Well off to bed...I know I used musscles I haven't used in awhile, so will probably hurt tommorow. Oh, and by the way...only lost .2 lbs this week. Whats up with that?

I didn't get a drunk dial tonight!!!! There would have been a drunk answer!! I feel like maybe you don't love me anymore!....Here We Go...Steelers!!! Here We Go...Steelers....THe Steelers Are WINNING the Superbowl......I hope I am not the only one who knows the Steelers victory song! Very sad to see that this was the last stop for the BUS! He is one of my faves!!

I guess we haven't seen the Tuggles bc of Superbowl weekend in MI. This whole typing thing is kind of a challenge!!! I have overindulged to the point of sickness today!!!! But my committment to you all surpasses my inability to see, think or type!..Chat soon!

Pj

AW Jen - too bad I didn't get to read your post pre-editing. Noticed you had to come on in and edit at 8 am. Hmmmmmm...... wonder what it said prior to that??????

Pat - I totaly know. I have no idea what they would gain - my sister said, maybe it was a gang thing - I said, well that is one pansy type of gang then because it takes no cohanas to run up to a car and stick a knife into its tire and run off again in the middle of the night. I grew up in a smallish town and getting tires slashed in a neighborhood would have been all over the newspaper and the kids would have been caught - I think. It freaks me out that someone was that close to my house with a knife in hand, though.

It's OK for us because we needed to replace the tires that got hit, but I tell you, if they had hit my new car I would have been BS to the point of craziness. As it was, I was crazy yesterday - I caught some kids stashing something under the bushes of my neighbors in the afternoon - I came running out of my house screaming that I saw them do that and they had best go and pick that stuff up. The kids looked sick scared and started crying that they were only taking their jacket off that their mother made them wear as it was too hot and they would be back to pick it up - swear it. Man, I felt like a raving lunatic - felt like I needed a sign that said, "I am not a freak, I just had my tires slashed so look out anyone acting suspicious in my neighborhood".

My neighbor said it was good that I did that, though, because she finds beer stashed in that little nook in her bushes all the time - so if those kids knew about that hiding place, then they may be the ones stashing beer and pinging out her street light too. Now they know someone watches.

Sounds like we live in a scary neighborhood, but we actually just live in a middle class neighborhood on a very good side of the city - but it's a big city with big city issues.

Most of our friends have moved to the burbs - but I like living in the city because of the convenience of everything and the community atmosphere - plus it's the one area that I am fairly green about. I like that we don't add to the sprawl issues taking place in our state by living in the city (said by the woman who works for a big box retailer in real estate  ).

Well, that was an awfully long post about nothing cruise related.

P.S. Pat - I LOVE the Rolling Stones - but man, halfway through "Satisfaction" I was like, "enough already" They were soooo off key and the jam session was a little ridiculous and discordant. But it was good to see them again as I missed this last tour.

We also just steamed our rugs last Sunday night. My husband does it after I do the pickup. It's pretty OK. Our friends think we are nuts to do it ourselves as they hire Stanley Steamer or something like that but we find it to be fine and a little fun to do - plus you know you are doing the spots you really need to do really well.

Suzie - take care of her - I think she is just entering that stage when she just needs a little more help, not dire stage of life, just a little more help. See if you guys should start discussing something like visiting nurses. No matter how much you love someone or want to be there for them, you really can't do the round the clock vigil stuff for an extended peroid of time - just think about maybe getting someone like a nurse to check on her often during the day or stay with her through the night.

Good Morning All! Today is better-though not much. I had WAY too much wine this weekend on the whole! You'd think I'd smarten up the older I get, but I don't! Anway-on to the stuff I wanted to post last night but I couldn't convince my fingers to type!

CG-I am sorry for your loss. I hope the next week or so goes smoothly for you and your family.

Suzie-my thoughts are with you and your family. I still have both sets of grandparents. We aren't close to one set and the other-I can't imagine life without them. My one grandmother has alzheimers pretty bad and my grandfather is either in denial or doesn't want the rest of the world to notice-how can you not when she asks how old my daughter is 300 times during a conversation. He tries to cover up her slips like that and gets frustrated with her easily. It is really sad! But even scarier-he still leaves her home alone during the day to go to work(Music teacher or Glee Club director or something like that in Amherst, NY). Hellooooo-department of social services!!!

I have had a great weekend business wise. This year started our really great. Not usually the case for Jan/Feb. Needless to say-I will be busy over the coming weeks. :woohoo: HGP calls me the Queen of Big Ideas(I guess Queen of anything isn't a bad gig huh!)....but i have a difficult time translating those down to daily tasks. I am working on a promotion around the 3 day Breast Cancer walk in October but I can't wrap my mind around it and it is driving me crazy! I need a "working vacation" someplace warm! All alone-just sitting on a lounger somewhere thinking!! Tough to think at home with Mt. Laundry glaring at me from the hallway! Yes....I moved it into the hall this morning right by the front door so I wouldn't ignore it for one more day!

OhJulie-Thank you! I think they are pretty cute too! I don't know if the American Girls are coming. It will depend on the size of the luggage load cause honestly I don't want to have to carry them thru the airport- and you kNOW that will happen after about 5 minutes! They are both Hannah's. She has Molly and Elizabeth. Katie isn't 5 yet so she has to wait. I think we are going to get her Jess for her birthday(LOVE Jess' outfit!) and she will probably want to bring her so yeah-I guess so. Molly has a snow white costume someone made so that would be neat!

I had a dream last night- this was strange-that someone left our thread to start their own and erased all 200 and some pages of ours! Now why do you suppose I dreamt that! That one was almost as scary as the showing up to school naked after a long vacation and forgetting your locker combo! I STILL have that dream! I have heard it is a pretty popular dream-but I guess I am the only one that forgets my clothes and locker combination in the same dream!! :rotfl2:

Alright-off to get some laundry done! Have a great monday all!

I missed a lot of the best ads (I was mopping my floors and putting the kids to bed - busy night, crazy partiers that we were  ) but saw these this morning on the news. My favorites last night were the Streaker and the Kermit the Frog one. I was a little horrified last night as it was the first time Quinn was paying attention and the ads during the first two quarters were really kinda not PG in some respects. We had to distract him during some of the movie ads and the sexual suggestive Pepsi ads I also didn't really like him seeing.

CG-Wow you're good! I decided that I would edit the words "I hurled 3 times" to something like overindulged to the point of sickness. It sounded much more refined!

PJ

I was lucky enough to read it at 7:15AM so I got to read the "hurled three times" part :rotfl: In fact Tom thought it was so funny that he yelled to me in the kitchen (I was making school lunches) to get in here and read about PhillyJen hurling. Lindsey, in her most innocent voice, says "who threw up?" to which Tom replies "no honey, I said hurled the football"!!! Priceless!!!! :lmao:

Busy weekend here in Motown...soccer Friday night for Tom & Lindsey, family bar/pizza joint for Mom, Sarah & Abby, soccer Saturday for Abby & Sarah, poker party Saturday night (Tom took third, I was out early and became the dealer), soccer on Sunday for Lindsey & Tom, couch time for Julie (waaaayyy too many :drinking1 Saturday night), Super Bowl party at the neighbors house Sunday night...so basically our whole weekend consisted of Soccer & Drinking, Drinking & Soccer...though not at the same time!!!

Sorry no drunk dials PJ...my fingers were not able to push the buttons!

As far as the ads go, I of course like the "I'm going to Disney World" ones!!! ::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo

Busy day...playgroup/luncheon with Abby, laundry, need to add all of the Girls Scout cookie orders up, soccer game for Lindsey right during dinner time (5:40PM) and then off to watch The Bachelor with some of my gal pals at fellow cruiser Docs Queens (Lesia) house!!!

It was "MY" ad!!!!! :cool1: I was so excited because it was the castlegazer one again - they had taken that one off the air and replaced it with those silly ones touting the $1500 deal.

PhillyJen - so sad, sad, sad - you're a grown woman you know. :lmao: Man, I think I typed that with a straight face, I think.

Now, wasn't it HGP that threw up on the highway last cruise????? Is this going to be a calling card of your famliy now? :rotfl2:

See, people, see what you are cruising with.

lest we not feel that anyone is putting anyone else down around here for some sloppy drinking)

I just realized something...at the Super Bowl party that we went to there were not ANY chicken wings!!! Isn't there a law against that??? :confused3

Lindsey, in her most innocent voice, says "who threw up?" to which Tom replies "no honey, I said hurled the football"!!! Priceless!!!!
Uh, can you say BUSTED!!!!! I love it! That is PRICELESS! Quick thinking dad!
(BTW we've missed you guys on the board....okay, "I" missed you guys! )

I just realized something...at the Super Bowl party that we went to there were not ANY chicken wings!!! Isn't there a law against that???
Yes, that is a violation of Chicken law 12 section 50! How dare they! I must say that any party that doesn't have chicken wings, well....is just a bunch of people sitting in front of a tv! Shameful!! I have to laugh because Jack had gone to Glory Days and gotten wings for our party! YUMMY!!! BUT that's three times this weekd I've had their wings! oh, my waistline.....

Julie, I read your post last night :lmao: Went to bed laughing :rotfl2: thinking that this AM you would be moving mighty slow and have a LILLY LiIVER, but alas you were up early and quick enough to edit. Hope your feeling better today.
