Since we went on 2 cruise in a year DH and I are not exchanging between ourselves , we bought a PB filing cabinet for our together gift thats it.

We got the girls The Pixter and American Girl stuff for their babies +++++++++ way too much more . I think it is better to wait the day before Christmas to shop , that way there is no possibility of overbuying LOL .

The gift I think is the best is for my Mom and Dad , they have been so good to us and I really wanted to do something special for them . We are sending them to Las Vegas in April . They have not been there in 5 years and it is all my Dad talks about .

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!

Just wanted to say thank you to all of you (you know who you are!) for our early Christmas present. You really shouldn't have...no, really, you shouldn't have.

So, Tori and I wait at Dulles Airport for Ed to meet up with us. Tori keeps telling me she's hungry. Told her we'd get so mething to eat once we leave the airport. We collect Ed and his luggage and head out. Decide to stop at Texas Road House. Never been, wanted to try it. Sit down, order. Ummm, peanuts. Ed excuses himself and walks away. Tori has a panic look on her face right away, so I think maybe she's choking. Get her to talk to me to let me know she's okay...."mommy, I sick." and proceeds to puke all over me and the wall. Run her to the bathroom to try to clean her up. Lost cause. We have to leave now. Thank you for the plastic bags, Jill - the waitress. Baths all around and laundry to be done. Oh, what a night we have in store for us.

So, thank you again for the present. Unfortunately, I can't return it but I am thinking of something else to give in return.

Oh Suzie that's awful!! I'm laughing, sorry, but that's awful. I hope she feels better by Saturday.

Santa is coming tomorrow night to our house since we head to PA on Saturday morning. You know with the time difference it is actually Christmas in China on Sat. so...... Santa will be out delivering and will just make a quick trip across the world to our house.

I just love that kids are so happy to believe just about anything when it comes to Santa!!! I used to lug everything to my parents house for Christmas morning down there but by the end of the holiday we had so many gifts to get back home our van was bursting at the seams. This way we spread out the gift opening and the 4 of us get some special time to share gifts.

Merry Christmas/Happy Hannukah everyone! Getting ready to shut down my computer before we head north for Christmas. We are going to be in Fredonia- for those of you in NY. We are skiing/snowboarding on Saturday- of course they are predicting rain!!! Yep....rain!!! But we will be THE best looking family skiing/snowboarding in the RAIN!!!! I mean- we will be all decked out in our new ski stuff!!

Hannah(7) only asked for 1 thing this year- hard to resisit! Elizabeth the American Girl.....let's see if Santa gives her her wish!! And all of the freaking clothes that go with her.

Katie(4 1/2) asked literally for 1 of everything....she didn't get her wish- but close enough.

HGP-now extreme-ROCK STAR-HGP got his gift tonight....an acoustic guitar with all the fixens...He doesn't play- yet, but thinks he is Kurt Cobain anyway! I am sure Stairway to Heaven is next...followed by Sweet Home Alabama...

We do our gifts early too so we don't have to lug everything to Fredonia, I got an All Clad Saute Pan and a Boos Block( a really nice chopping block) like the one Emeril, Paula and Rachael use. Most wives would kill their husbands for gifts like that but I LOVE it! Our bar and the cruise are our real gifts. The bar is done! I will send pics when we get home.

For the Paula fans...I made the Shrimp and Wild Rice Casserole from the "Comfort Foods" episode. It was FANTASTIC! HGP ate it all! Even the girls loved it.

Anyway- gotta run. Beddy Bye! Hope Santa brings you all everything you wish for-a full and happy holiday!

Oh- and in a fit of "I hate my self, body and hair" rage, I cut off all my hair the other day. Those of you who knew me on the 04 cruise- just like that but I had grown it about shoulder length! Turns out, all I needed to make myself feel better was an eyebrow wax.....too bad I did the hair first! LOL

LOL , Phillyjen , you sound like me with the hair thing . Someday I will learn if I am having a bad hair day it necessarily doesn't mean I am going to have a bad hair month I tend to chop mine to if too many hairs are being goofy .

Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! We finally got that nasty old flu bug out of here Christmas morning (thank goodness cause Christmas was at our house this year!!) Had a wonderful time with family and Tori loved opening her presents!

Need some help for NYE though and figured I could get it from you guys. Looking for a GOOD recipe for Sour Apple Martinis. I've seen some that just look a bit strange and afraid they won't be good. So, does anyone have a good stir for this?????? PLEASE???

My son said this was the best Christmas ever.

OK - so sour apple martinis - I picked up this mix the other day and it was AWESOME!!!! The best! It came in a tall bottle (I already threw it out so I am sorry for the no name) and it was wavvy on the sides. I got it at a Hannaford grocery store so it may be readily available. It tasted very authentic - not too sweet - not too chemically - just perfect. I drained the damn thing.

OK - so I need to order our bracelets. I will get to that this week.

Hello everyone,

Hope all had a very Merry Christmas, and make sure everyone is careful on amatuer night (New Years Eve, when all the non professional drinkers come out). We are heading up North for a little progressive NYE party, at 3 houses on a lake, should be a lot of fun.

I am at work today on my float day, my boss who is in Key West called and asked if I would come in, and when I explained that I had a float day, he said, "come in and I will give you 2 float days anytime you want them". So with our family Tradition, we will probably leave for our Spring Break trip a few days earlier than planned. We have already booked two nights in Cocoa Beach to start before Vero Beach, and planned on waving good bye to the Magic on the April 1st Eastern from a bar on the channel, knowing that in 4 weeks from then we will be on board. I think it will be a weird feeling wanting to be on the ship but knowing it will just be a short time before we are.

Count us in on the bracelets, and I don't know much about Sour Apple Martinis, but I do know a dude who makes a mean Key Lime one.

I've actually requested non smoking, but in the case of Cigars and Discussion boards I will make an exception. Last time the Party was very impromtu (queen did I spell that corectly?), but one that is still talked about to this day. The extra time off will be great, still trying to figure out how to use it, I think I had better figure it out now and let him know, or else he will forget the promise and I will lose out on it. It really isn't like I am working very hard right now anyway, the Queen already said something to me when I called home just to chat. Tell Tori that Abby still has been talking about her, and can't wait for the kids club.

I am a little bumed you guys did not like the Badgers, but I will find something else.

It's not that we didn't like them, you just want to KILL them after 5 minutes when you realize it's an eternal loop!!! They were cute, though. Keep 'em coming! Tori loves to see them, too! Tell Abby that she keeps telling us that it's time for our cruise and really won't listen to why we aren't packing yet! Gotta love it! She SOOOO wants to be there! Keeps asking to see the webcam to see if Mickey is waiting for her on the ship! Awwwww....

CG - Tori loves to play with girls and boys. Was playing with some friends last night(3 boys) and was Peter Pan (here we go again!) and kept telling the oldest he was Wendy Darling and the youngest was Capt. Hook! I could hardly keep from laughing so hard! She wanted to have a sword fight but we the youngest kept getting hurt from Tori's "sword".

But she made daddy play Pretty Pretty Princess yesterday! Kept telling him he had to keep the earrings on! Wished I had my camera out! The things dads do for their girls!

Oh, yes, thank you so much! I ended up with it on Friday and Saturday! Lost a few pounds from it, too.....haven't weighed myself but should be back around where I was before all of the Christmas cookies and candy made it's way into the house!!!! A friend baked cookies for us and put them in a huge cookie jar. Came home one day to find that on our door step! Very nice, but they kept calling me....and you know I can't resist the CALL!!! So, did some treadmill today, but still a bit too weak to do a full hour on. Only did 30 minutes but I'll get back to an hour soon!

Well, the MIL is coming today. Forgot about that one. Guest room isn't ready either.....gee, do I really have to put clean sheets on it?! Just kidding. I actually like my MIL but the timing of this visit isn't good.

My family (dh, dd-8 and ds 5) is all set to join you crazies on the April 29 Magic. We were originally booked on the April 2, 2004 Magic, but dh's work schedule necessitated a change to the April 1, 2005 Magic. Then, I decided I wanted to be cruising with Mickey on my 40th, so we changed again to April 29. So, here we are!

I've already experienced a little Magic...we were booked in a cat 11 on deck 6, but I really wanted deck 7 near the secret verandah. So, I checked Expedia yesterday and while a deck 7 cat 11 wasn't avail, a SPH on deck 5 was. Got in touch with TA, and she worked and worked and finally was able to book that cabin! WOOHOO!

Here's a quick little bio on us! We live in Spokane, WA with a dog and 2 fish. dh is a project manager, Megan is in the second grade, loves the color blue and playing games. Trevor is in preschool at a wonderful Christian school; he's a kook who loves to crack you up! I'm a SAHM and resident Disney nut. We've been to Disneyland many, many times and LOVE it.

Is there a 'role call' out here somewhere listing everyone? I admit, I've been lurking, but I don't have everyone figured out yet.

Hey, for all you old hats and the newbies - I screwed up and missed that awesome sale on those wrist bands, so now they are a little over $1 each - more like $1.25 based on how many we order. I am sorry everyone. I failed you all. I just thought it was a little too early to do it - got jittery - and didn't pull the trigger - and look, now we have more friends!
