4/24/2011 'Dream'ing of Easter with Donald Duck April 24, 2011

We will also be on the Dream 4/24. Then going to the parks for a few days after cruise.

Can't wait !:yay:

It will be DH, me, DD13, DS11, DS6, and DS3.

Well we're going to have to pick a time and place on-board for everybody on here that ends up going on this Easter Cruise to meet up and share some smiles! :) . . . With or without the kids. ;) Not that they'll be missing us.

SINCE THERE REALLY AREN'T THAT MANY OF US THAT HAVE COME OUT OF THE WOODWORK FOR THIS CRUISE YET (WITH TWO MONTHS TO GO!), SHOULD WE TRY AND START A FISH EXTENDER FOR OUR LITTLE BAND OF EASTER BUNNIES? party:

O.K., we dug out the plastic eggs and got our count done today. Little Brad has 126 eggs to hand out on deck of the Dream on Easter Sunday. Of course i'll be the one stuck filling them while he's riding the Aquaduck! :lmao:

I'm in for the fish extender!

I am so excited to go on the Dream again. We are going to WDW pre cruise and just added a WDW stay post cruise as well. This short trip has turned out to be a huge one! I think I just want to get out of the Winter Weather!

Good thing I am going down to Disney World next week! (But just for a few days...):banana::banana:

In the simplest terms, a Fish Extender is a hanging pocket, or usually pockets, that hangs from the fish mounted to the wall outside your stateroom door where CM's leave messages or cofirmations and the like for you.
As an "action", it's sort of like a Secret Santa, without having to be a secret. It's a way for a group of cruisers, who have learned they are on the same cruise together via these boards, to have a little extra fun. Everyone that decides to participate gets a list of all those involved before cruising so you can leave little "gifts" or "goodies" for the Adults, the Kids, each individual, or for the room as a whole. The choice is yours. It's not designed to be a big financial drain, just some extra fun. There are TONS of cheap Fish Extender gift ideas on these boards. Dollar Stores, Target, Michael's, WalMart, ACMoore all carry great dollar, or close, items.
As far as obtaining a Fish Extender, if you can sew you're half way home. I can't. :confused3 But I did get a great deal on one on Ebay, where you can always find them if you don't want to make it yourself.
So for everyone that wants to be involved, we need:

-Your Disboard Name (ID)
-YOUR STATEROOM NUMBER
-Names of Adults
-Names, Ages, & Sexes of Kids
-Dining Seating Time
-Theater Show Time
-Health Concerns or Allergies
-Special Celebrations On-Board

Hello fellow sailors.... I have a silly question. How do I find out what time the show is? I noticed some of you listed that.

We received a simple mailer from DCL, before even paying in full, noting our Dining and Show Times. It explained the two possible dining times and the three show time offerings of 5pm, 7pm, & 9pm. BUT as of this week, it sounds like the 3 original showtimes experiment may be getting scrapped. Reports from the ship right now, AND on the DCL website, have showtimes changed to 6:15pm or 6:30pm (depending on the show) & 8:30pm with an experimental 3:30pm matinee. What i'm hearing is that the 5, 7, & 9pm show times were causing havoc for the dining room staff, both for the current meal, and getting ready for the next seating. So for those who have been trying to plan around what they "thought" was their showtime; time to start over. The only real thing you can do prior is keep an eye out for current Navigators posted and see if this new experiment holds up and how to plan your family's activities around them. :confused3

Have you been notified of this via email or did it change on the site?
My reservation is still showing 7pm show.
Do you know if late seating dinner is still 8.30?
Dosnt really matter, but on the magic the kids club guys used to collect the children around 9.15,,,really hoping this still happens;)

BTW our cabin number is 8563, unless we get the disney magic and get upgraded,,,hahhahaa

bren:yay:

Hey look at that, my reservation is showing second seating and 7pm show. Wow, guess I should have looked there first.

The latest is that your dining times will not change from what you have already been assigned (unless you request it). You will "officially" have the same show time too, but if the new show times work out better than the 5pm, 7pm, & 9pm you will be told of the new "process" on your arrival day. Whether you are "assigned" a new show time based around your dinner seating, or, as is being tried out on-board at present, you will be free to attend any of the shows scheduled that day. . . . time will tell. popcorn::

Thats all good then,:thumbsup2 Im pretty sure they know what they are doing:)

I know this is a bit cheeky but is there gonna be a cut off date for the fish extender so we can get the stuff together? I have to try and get it all squished in my luggage and we are only flying club class from the UK:sad2:

Getting very very excited now:dance3:

After looking around, it seems like most FE Groups make their cut-off dates about One Month prior to sailing. That sounds O.K. unless anyone has any other ideas.
