4/15/2007 Anyone?

Nope, nobody getting excited in my house ... DH asked the other day if we should plan on leaving his Dad's house on Saturday and staying closer to the port instead of leaving Sunday morning and making the 4 hour drive from Ft. Myers to the Port. He's worried we won't make it to the ship on time :rolleyes1 ... Like I said, no one in MY family is getting excited :rotfl2:

Actually, I am in a bit of hot water with my DS7 ... his Principal at school challenged the kids to read a certain number of books before June 1st. If they accomplished their goal, she'd kiss a pig. They not only hit their goal ... but they did it in MARCH not June. The Pig Kiss is scheduled for April 13th ... we fly out on the 12th :sad2:

You are the MEANIEST Mommy Ever to force your child to go on a stinky old Disney Cruise and miss out on that pig kiss! :lmao:

you could always have the teacher take a picture or someone with their cell and send it to you; how ever i am sure they will forget about the pig. i once made ds miss something at school for a trip to see his cousin, he never remembered the thing he missed. thank goodness my ds is only 5 and doesnt remember much:)

Judy,

Wave as you go up Route 3. Tyngsboro is the last exit before NH. There is no Walmart in Nashua but there is one across the river in Hudson, NH!

Alisa

My in-laws live in Hudson and we'll be staying at their house! I will definately check their Wal-Mart, and wave to you on my way Friday! :wave2:

Wow, I just got home from Indiana and I missed so much here! We had no docs waiting when we returned.:sad2: We did get some disturbing news on our answering machine though. Someone lifted my credit card info and has been using it in Spain!:scared1: They spent $988 in a nightclub last night!!!:furious: When they tried to charge $600 for shoes today, it didn't go through. In total, they charged well over $1,000! Luckily CitiBank is crediting our account and has cancelled our card, but we have no idea how it happened. They think it may have happened at a restaurant when the server takes the card away. They probably scanned it out of sight. We were told to be very careful and not charge in restaurants! I'm really bummed. Hopefully we'll get new cards before we leave for FL.

Gosh Judy, what a mess. I'm glad CitiBank was on the ball and cut them off quickly. I'm sure your replacement cards should arrive before you fly down to Florida.

Wow, I'm so sorry about that! That really makes me think twice about letting CC out of my site in restaurants.

On a similar note, I am a teacher, and we just had a substitute caught for credit card theft from four of our teachers! Needless to say, it was interesting watching her get arrested in the school parking lot!! ::cop: ::cop: ::cop: ::cop:

I am pretty shaken up about this. You just never know who you can trust.:sad2:

DH just said the new cards should arrive in a few days, but we just may use another card for now. This was the one we use for American Airlines frequent flyer miles. We now need to use our Delta card since they fly to Indianapolis. We used the AA card when DS was flying back and forth from Chicago.

Scott, how did the cops find out the sub was stealing the CC's? That must have been interesting. What grade do you teach? DS is in grad school and will be teaching inner city HS social studies in the fall. He graduated from Northwestern last year.

Hi Judy,

That can be pretty frightening. Did you happen to use your card at a TJ Maxx, or one of the other stores owned by TJX? Our bank was notified that a card that DW had was one of the card numbers stolen from them and they canceled the card and issued a new one, before anyone tried to charge on it. They're saying that over 45 million card numbers were stolen, and it had been going on for a couple of years!

Hi Ed,

It's possible that it was stolen from TJ Maxx. I was there in December. The bank didn't mention TJX, but I heard about it on the news last week. It also could have been when I was in London in the fall. I used that card exclusively. The bank seems to be leaning toward it being scanned at a restaurant. Apparently that is pretty easy to do since the card is out of sight when they run it through. They are sending a detective to Spain to visit the nightclub and shoe store to find out who used the card. The other uses were at restaurants, so they'll probably check there as well. Luckily they only started using it this week, so the charges weren't too astonomical. The bank flagged the account after the $988 nightclub charge since it wan't consistent with my spending profile. The $600 shoes were blocked. Oh well, no more spending sprees for me!:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

It's no fun when we have to worry about giving our credit cards to someone
and it's out of our sight. I'm a worry-wort and think about stuff like that all
the time. In fact,I don't use my ATM just because I've heard news reports
of people getting your info from the gas station ATM readers (DH just laughs
at me worrying so much:lmao: ).

I read somewhere that at WDW and on the cruise we shouldn't use our
debit/ATM cards????? Has anyone had problems with that?? If I remember
correctly, something about using your credit cards as you go, but not your
debit/ATM so that your checking account will not be depleted????

On a happier note.........2 more weeks till Orlando Airport Hyatt:banana:

Save some BBQ sauce for Daniel, ok? This kid loves french fries and
cheeseburgers with BBQ sauce (instead of good 'ole ketchup)....so
if you get a hold of a bottle, he'll be asking you to pass it his way.:lmao:

DH is playing golf (Daniel is his caddy)....so I'll answer your video game
questions for him.......he likes anything with PLAYSTATION 2 or GAME BOY
ADVANCE on the title (although I don't let him play any M games:eek: )
I'm sure you guys can share all your collection stories of video games

Hi Ada,

Since you have a good friend here and, most importantly, your DH hates the Evil Empire, I guess we could make you an honorary Red Sox fan. Any dissenters from the rest of Red Sox Nation?

Ed

Can't believe its almost here! We leave in 13 days! Finished shopping for the DD & DS, now DH needs to get a few things and we'll be ready to pack!

We're Pats fans, does that count? We don't watch Baseball! Sorry!
