4/15/2007 Anyone?

Ada,
If you don't want to do OTC medication for your son, you may want to try those seabands. My kids wore them the first cruise and did fine, 2nd cruise, we weren't so diligent and they didn't wear them, my son got sick the first night. But it was also a rough sea day. So I can't swear by them, but may not hurt.

I was also going to comment that a 15% gratuity is automatically added to your bill every time you order a drink. We do tip more than the $10/pp charge at Palo, but I don't remember how much more ... maybe another 10 - 15/pp :confused3

We always have the kids pack their bathing suits in a carry on so that they can get into the pool once they get on the ship. Our plan is to leave the Fort Myers area around 8:00 the morning of the 15th. I think it will take us a good 3-1/2 to 4 hours to get out to the port, and I'm sure we'll stop along the way. I'm hoping to be onboard the ship around Noon, but I'll be ok if we don't make it until 1:00.

On our very first cruise, we flew in the morning of the cruise and rented a car, then one slight miscue on the highway got us to the ship at about 3:00. Plenty of time to board the ship, but not enough time to really enjoy the ship before the lifeboat drill. We missed the sail away party that time because the kids were having NOTHING to do with dancing around when they KNEW there was a pool close by. Now we do everything in our power to get on the ship early and start enjoying things (like the pool) so that we can "party" during the party

I bought lime green Crocs today!!!:woohoo: I didn't know what color I wanted, but when I saw they came in lime green, I couldn't resist!:rotfl2: DD & DH think I'm crazy. I think it's fun.:dance3:

I also bought all the OTC's for my on board medicine cabinet. I also picked up an 8x10 white picture mat to have the characters sign. I also picked up Disney stickers to add to it.:thumbsup2 Now I have to finish my clothes shopping.

25 more days!!!

I found green bracelets today at Walmart in the clearance Area. Ours clearance area is near the vacuums.

Scott....I did get four extra ones if you are interested in them. I've tried pming you, but its not working.

Remember if your going to take bonnine or any other motion sickness medicine, take it before you start feeling the effects of the rocking boat. We usually take it the morning of the cruise and suffer no ill effects from the motion of the boat. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

Ada, I bought Sea Bands tonight. I only saw them in black and in a baby blue. Crocs are very comfortable but some of the imitation Croc like shoes are not. They also have Croc sandals that are supposed to be comfortable.

Scott, I looked for the Mickey Crocs, but none of our stores had them. I thought the lime green was the next best thing.:thumbsup2

I was thinking of giving the CM's a bag of Hershey Hugs or Kisses when I drop off the mat.

Ada, these are the first Crocs I've bought, but they did feel comfortable in the store. As far as the Sea Bands, the kids size does have lime green in it, along with other colors. The adult ones are grey.

I need to go back to Wal-Mart to check for green bands. I did find one in AC Moore yesterday though.

I picked up our Bonine and Sea Bands tonight along with allergy meds for Tommy who still isn't feeling well tonight.

Only 17 more work days and we hit the road!! Are Tommy and I the only ones driving down to Florida? :drive:

That's for sure!:rotfl2:

I picked up Bonine & Sea Bands today also. I only found the adult ones in grey. I would have rather found another color.

I was just looking at the Disney Wonder virtual deck plans, when I noticed some cabins have a small triangle next to their number. What does this mean? I hope it isn't an indication of rooms that can accomodate 4 people because my stateroon 6058 doesn't have the triangle!! I need a 4 person room!

Alisa

Alisa,

The triangles on the deck plans indicate connecting cabins and the top of the triangle points to the connecting cabin. Cabin 6058 is a cat 6 and most of the cat 6 cabins sleep 4. DCL will not let you book a cabin that won't sleep the number of people in your party.
