Went to Walmart and bought 3 green wristbands for 60 cents. The cheapest expense of the cruise thus far.

Did anyone else watch some / all of the cruise programs on the Travel Channel yesterday? I'm sure I've already seen each a half dozen times but indulged again to get in the mood for April 15th....as if I need any help!

This will be our second Wonder cruise we cruised April 2005 and LOVED IT. There is me, DH, DD9, DD9. My DD is 9 now but will be almost 10 when we cruise(birthday is end of April)!! I have an 8 year old DS as well. I hope you plan to go to the meet and greet so all the kids can make friends!! We can't wait for April 15th!!

Unfortunately we are flying in that morning but last time we did this we did the same thing flew in that morning without a problem and were on the ship by 1:00. I have my fingers crossed. It will be here before we know it.

Hi and welcome!!! Glad you found us. I sure hope you make the meet. My ds Daniel will be 7 a week after the cruise (his first day back to school! ) My ds Benjamin will be 4 in July. Be great for all the kids to meet on the first day.

Having done that on previous cruises.......

The only problem with trying to do a meet at the sailaway party is the NOISE!! Unless you meet somewhere forward of the Goofy pool area, it is very difficult to have any kind of conversation. Just my $.02 worth.......

Good point Ed. I was actually thinking of just enjoying the sailaway party together in the same predetermined area. This would be after the actual meet, but if someone can't make the meet, they could catch up with us afterward. At the end of the party we can get to know the new people. The biggest problem besides the noise, would be the people who have to get to early seating dinner. Would something like that work? I'm up for anything.

We took care of our own flights. We lucked out with prices, but it was a bit stressful and lucky all at the same time. We are traveling with another family (but we were going to go down a few days before - but something came up and we couldn't). My girlfriend had decided that she was going to find out the exact date Delta flights book (it was months and months ago) and she got up at midnight the day the Departing flight went on sale and got her families tickets for $99.00 7:30 a.m flight. We didn't book because we were not sure what day we were going to go down. Then 5 days later same thing she got up to book here coming home flight and got $99.00. We ended up getting that flight home as well for $99.00. We booked JetBlue to go down the Wed. before but when my DH couldn't get out of work those days we didn't what to do because now the flight prices were crazy. Jump ahead to about January and my DH just happens to be checking out Delta and says there is an 8:30 flight that has been added and it is $99:00 so he grabs it. Two days later Delta calls my friend and tells her they canceled the 7:30 flight and now the 8:30 flight is full. After she fights with them they finally get her on a flight on Saturday and gave her a better rate for the hotel. So will meet up with them when we get there and head to the port.

I am a bit concerned for my friend, because first the flight issue and then when I called her to tell her to start booking any exursions they wanted (this was again a couple of months ago) she waited a few days and then just about everything she wanted was no longer offered online. I assume this means that it is booked (i.e. dolphin excursion in Nassau, etc). She was none to pleased and was starting to get turned-off. I keep promising her that they will have a blast. Oh well........I am sure everything will work out and all will be fine!!

We booked our own flights and are flying down Friday evening on Jetblue. Staying at the MCO Hyatt Friday night, picking up a rental car the next morning, heading to the Space Center, then to the Radisson for Saturday night.

We also always book our own flights. We have a 6 PM flight on Continental out of Newark, NJ on Saturday. I waited too long to book and the flights out of CT and NY were incredibly expensive, so we went with Continental. We are staying at the Residnece Inn at the Port on Saturday night. I haven't rented a car yet, but we will probably do a one way Saturday from Orlando to Port Canaveral and then pick it up again at the Port to go to WDW.

Has anyone don the Eco Jet SKi thing on Castaway Cay? There is a post on the the main board about this. I was going to do this with my husband and DD(9) But some of the responsed have me not soo sure about going.

Started my shopping by picking up another suitcase
Bought snorkle gears for the kids
Filled out online registration forms, printed and put in travel document envelope
put passports in travel document envelope
made Nassau catamaran sail & snorkle reservation
made CC stingway adventure reservation
made Target shopping list for all toiletries & misc stuff
no luck in finding a life vest, probably have to go to a sporting goods store.

I'm so excited that just want to share...

I have to get moving on my transportation. I have to book a car in FL and decide how I'm getting to & from the airport here. I called a car service and it will cost as much as my flight did - each way!

Judy, we (DW and I) are planning on going to Wal-Mart tonight to look for Neon Green bands. Does anyone know where I can find them at Wal-Mart?
