4/15/2007 Anyone?

Thanks Spoon2003!

Does anyone know if there is a bsketball hoop on the ship? My family loves to shoot around!

AlisaP

Yes, there is a basketball court on the ship, nothing like shooting basket on the open sea :cool1:

Atlantis just opened or is about to open a brand new waterpark that suppose to be incredible. Waterslides that propel you uphill and a lazy river that is suppose to be second to none plus a host of other water attractions. Believe me I don't work for the marketing dept. of Atlantis, just thought you may be interested.

Yeah i did hear about this. I'm anxious to see what it looks like:yay:

Yes, I got an email from Atlantis as well, but it didn't go into any detail. Hoping somebody crusing this month or next will have more to tell.

For those of you have been on a 4 day before..question on the semi formal nite. Do you suggest a suit for my 16 yr old?? Or can he do just a tie?

I've read the new Atlantis park is $88/pp...you get to use the water parks, etc.

This reminds me to buy a shirt and tie for DS8. :) I don't have a teen, but seems to remember seeing teens with shirt and tie on formal night. So I think your 16DS should be fine.

You guys I'm getting so excited and nervous at the sametime:cool1: I hope we have good suntan weather:) Has anyone been on a cruise in april, how will the weather be?

I thought they only had semi formal nights on the 7 day cruises. Which night will it be for the 4 day cruise? Or is it the night you visit a certain restaurant?:confused3

we last cruised Apr 2005 Eastern, weather in Port Canaveral was windy and I remembered the sail away party to be cold and windy. But the next day we were in sunny and warm weather. Looking forward to same sun and warmth this April as the temps are in the teens today.

Time's a flying and we'll be crusing before we know it! :yay: Looking forward to being on board and meeting y'all.

I just finished booking the Atlantis Discovery Tour. I see a couple of you have booked it too! Also got Palo for Monday night. :woohoo: After planning for so long and now having the ressies it's finally starting to feel real!

We have Palo ressies on Monday also. We are dining with our friends at 8:30. What time are your ressies?

DH and I are at Palo at 8:00 on Monday ... seems great minds think alike with all of us going to Monday ressies :thumbsup2

Still trying to gear myself up for this vacation ... just not "feeling" it totally yet. Perhaps that's because I've got a lot of "stuff" going on with work right now that has me a teeny bit uncertain. AND I've got some work travel planned for the next 2 months ... with potentially more to be scheduled once the "stuff" is all worked out. Ok, now you all know JUST as much about my work situation as I do :rotfl2:

OH ... and my MIL is bugging the heck out of me regarding our plans for the WDW portion of the trip. She can't understand why nothing can be planned until SHE tells me what she wants to do :sad2:

:cool1: I got off my butt today and booked the parasailing excursion at Castaway Cay. A little pricey but a once in a lifetime experience .

Our thread is really sucking wind. so few post compared to other cruises in April. If you can't tell I"m very competitive in everything I do. LOL

I am still confused about formal or semi formal nights.:confused3 How formal are we talking? Do we know which night will be formal? My DS does not own a single button down shirt let alone a tie!! Am I in trouble? Does a Hawaiian shirt count as formal?

I'm still here!:rolleyes1 I booked the parasailing at CC for DD also. She's going with her friend at 11:00. She is so excited!

There really isn't a formal night on the 4 day. You can probably get away with the Hawaiian shirt for your DS. Is it a button down Hawaiian? If not, I would get one button down shirt. You can probably get an inexpensive one at Target or JC Penny. I'm not sure what night the semi formal night will be, but you can check on the main board and ask one of the recent 4 day cruisers what the schedule is.

I was able to get some great stuff for my daughters to wear on pirate night at Target. They had stuff in the dollar bin, including tatoos.

The only excurison we booked was the trip to Atlantis. I think I'm going to leave it at that, only because this is our first cruise, and were not sure what to expect.

I don't think there is a "formal" night on the 4-day ... just a "dress up" night. I think, from looking at some older Navigators that the "dress up" night is on Monday. Please don't stress about your son's attire, no one will be turned away from the dining room no matter how they are dressed.

I entered the dining room on Semi-Formal night on our last 7-day cruise behind a lady that was wearing short denim shorts and a short sleeved hoodie :sad2: Don't get me wrong, I'm not the fashion police ... but even Disney says "no shorts in the dining room". She was not turned away, so like I said ... your son will be fine
