Hi all! Let's get this thread a moving. We are a few months away from our cruise and a few weeks away from when Platinum and concierge guests can start booking reservations and excursions. So, let's show how excited we are. On past cruises, I found that it makes the cruise more fun when we already "know" some of the people, besides our family, who are sailing with us. So, here are a few questions to start us off.

1. What are you most looking forward to?
2. What island are you looking forward to visiting?

We are most looking forward to celebrating life. No homework, Drs appointments or kids sports,dance,music schedules to deal with. Just a week of whatever we want to do whenever we want to do it..

I'm just looking forward to waking up in new surroundings, sitting on deck, with my coffee and watching the shapes come into focus while the sunrises. That is the most intresting thing about cruises to me.

Most looking forward to no work, no homework, no alarm clocks, no traffic, no laundry to do, no dishes to do, no beds to make, no bills to pay, no cooking/cleaning. Pretty much just looking forward to RELAXATION!! Also excited to be on one of the first voyages on the new ship & hoping they corrected a lot of the "mistakes" I've heard about on the Dream.Grand Cayman is an island I've always wanted to visit.

What are you most looking forward to? I'm most looking forward to a week in paradise with my DH and kiddos. I lost my mom in October and 2011 was a horrifically stressful year with her being quite ill. This trip is MUCH needed!

What island are you looking forward to visiting? Well Castaway Cay of course as we haven't been there since 2009, no Pelican Plunge or Spring-a-Leak back then, though we did see the Black Pearl. I also like Cozumel because of the silver jewelry shopping!

On another note, can someone fill me in on the FE's? I've read bits and pieces and think I am interested in joining - my kiddos (well and DH and I) would love this!

Prince/princess party is just the name of the menu that night, I believe. We had it on our last cruise in 2010 & I'm pretty sure that's all it was. Now I'm so confused on when I want to do Palo?? this is why I enjoyed the Eastern itinerary...more sea days! Did Palo on Semi-formal night last time. And my DH wanted to strangle me (that's also lobster night!) So, he said definitely NOT that night!

You guys are from New England & he does not want to miss Lobster (Spiny Tail) night!

Take him to Legal's or the Summer Shack or any number of places on the coast for some good New England Lobstah!

LOL!! and his cousin is a fisherman. We get scallops all the time. Never thought to ask him for lobsters.... I don't like them. I prefer he don't even cook them in the house. Probably why he is so looking forward to it!

DW says to get them @ Stop & Shop & they will even cook & season them for you! That should make DH happy if that matters?

So jealous!!! I just know there won't be any Palo Brunch ressie's left when we can book on 1/15!!! We don't plan to do Palo dinner but would like to try Remy this time. On our April Dream cruise last year our sea day was cancelled because something was wrong with the Aqua Duck, we went back to Castaway Cay, yes it was great, but Palo Brunch is one of the reasons I cruise!!!!!

I received an email reminding me that once I was paid in full, I could begin booking our excursions & dining reservations... can't believe how fast this got here! So, I paid in full this evening, but haven't booked anything yet... haven't even started looking yet, I have been more concerned with our upcoming trip. We are going to WDW for 8 nights leaving on Christmas night. It is a total surprise for my 11 year old son. He has NO IDEA! This is his 1st Christmas that he knows the whole "Santa" truth (so sad), so I figured this surprise trip would keep the magic of Christmas going for him! I have always wanted to be in WDW on New Years Eve, too!!

Anybody have a suggestion on how we tell him Christmas morning? I was thinking of wrapping a Mickey Balloon with his plane ticket or our resort reservation attached to the string so when he opens the box it floats out... any other suggestions? I can't wait!!!

What are your thoughts on a girl that just turned 10 last week and the kids clubs. The age group for the Oceaneer labs is so wide I'm afraid it will be more geared for the lower age end. Will there be enough for her to do in the oceaneers lab or would she be better off in Edge Tween club ( if they would even let her in). Her 11yo brother will be in the Edge Club.

I think that she will be fine. The kids tend to stay with their own age group. So just because there are little ones in there, doesn't mean they'll necessarily be "hanging out" together. My aunt has twins 11, boy & girl. The boy will most likely go to Edge. But her DD will most definitely be in the Oceaneers with my DD9.

Just got back from our Christmas cruise on the Dream. The family decided to take a cruise in lieu of Christmas presents and it was such a success that we may do that next year.

My friend won't be coming on this cruise but my DS and DDIL will be coming so this is going to be a family DD birthday cruise. That is what I am really looking forward to; being with my family for a magical week.

The Disboard group met in the D Lounge at 3pm and that worked out. A lot of people chose to go to the DVC meet but we still had a nice crowd. This was a great place to meet because it was out of the noise so we coud talk and get to know each other.

Just want to share our door. My DD made the wreath, DSIL made the fireplace and I made the FE holder. Now we are trying to brain storm on how to decorate the door the this trip.
