Happy 13th Anniversary! Yep, 13 years on the 13th, a very special anniversary. I go find the card I packed for DH and write a little note to him. He teases me about not having it already written, thats when I say, And my card is where? DH looks sheepish. We had agreed to wait on gifts, but he has forgotten my card. This is sooooo not unusual. I start teasing about what I will receive as substitute card this year. I have gotten those blank inside cards from the corner convenience store, and one time we were in WDW and he wrote on a flyer for a Happy Easter breakfast with Cinderella, he turned it into Happy Anniversary. Very funny, I still have it. So we joke how it will most likely be a post card from DCL or maybe a cocktail napkin.
Now we agreed to not get off in Grand Cayman, and sleeping in was great. DH and I agree to call Grandma & the girls and we would head to Parrot Cay for breakfast. Well, DH gets involved watching School of Rock and DS will not wake up. So its me and Grandma with the girls for my anniversary breakfast. But here is the silver lining in my black mood cloud. Who seats us in PC? Its Jeevan! Our waiter from our last cruise. He is in his white uniform, promoted to Head Server. After a lot of, Hey! I remember you!! we are seated with a lovely couple from Michigan. They are traveling with their son, d.i.l. and 2 grandkids. They were so good with my girls. After breakfast we head back and DH, Grandma, and DS decide to go see Miracle and I take the girls to the Mickey Pool. We get spot under the slide, plenty of shade for BriarPatch. I have her in her umbrella stroller. Now it is warm even in the shade so I give her cups of water from the drink station (never the pool water, ugh!) to play with. She is nice a wet and happy. Braelynn makes friends fast and does the slide a thousand times. Redhead tries to boss all the younger kids out of the ears and into the big pool to play with her. Some boys start squirting her and knocking her down and Brae comes to her rescue with a stern talking to for the boys. (So funny, the little mommy). Well, Redhead puts in that she should be able to squirt them back. The boys find this idea fun and let her! Kids, whatchagonnado? I enjoy a little sun, and baby splashes beside me. I see KennyK and his lovely wife just back from Grand Cayman. The guys and grandma return. Loved the movie. Grandma and DS want to go back to the room to watch Haunted Mansion. They take Briar so she can have a nap. DH and I take girls back to change and then off to clubs. What? Were free? No kids??? Its off to Quiet Cove! Run into KennyK again, a truly wonderful man. He offers to watch my pager so DH and I can swim. So relaxing. Swim a little, sun a little, chat with KennyK. Sun is getting hot and I do not want to burn. Holding a squirming baby is no fun if you are burned, so we decide to get some food. I had seen wraps offered at Scoops earlier, but it was too late for them now. We settled for fruit, and ate by the rail. DH wants a burger but the line is long, so we go back to room. DS offers to go get the burger for DH. What a nice boy. (Why arent you in clubs this trip? Just kidding.) Briar and Grandma are napping, I go hang out on the verandah. DS joins me and blows bubbles at the other boats. This is a nice moment, you know. Brae beeps me to be picked up. She explains to me that she and her new friends, Megan and Shelby, want to meet back up at the pool. Their grandma will watch them. So I lotion her back up and let her go for 1 hour. (She would prove very responsible and was back in an hour. Good girl.) I start to get ready, figuring that Redhead will need to be picked up in another half hour, after Finding Nemo is over. Well, she beeps me and wants to come back now. So its off to Buena Vista Theatre. I ask if she has been good, and they said, oh yeah, she just wanted to go now. When we are walking back and ask her why she didnt want to see the end. In true Redhead style she says, I had fun but Ive been in clubs for a long time and Im hungry. Besides, I already seed Nemo before. Sounds like a good reason to me.
Tonight we are back in Animators Pallette. LeeRoy reviews with us that we have had a night in each restaurant now and is everything, you guessed it, excellent. Yes, I want to scream, please, please believe me. Its excellent. Now let me just say here, I am not hard to please. I have had amazing servers in the past who not only served but entertained. I loved it, but I dont expect it. As long as I get what I order without you spilling it on me, I am happy. LeeRoy would give you your menu and read off the choices and expect your order right then. No problem. Hes got a lot of people to serve. Lisa would spend a little more time with you. Ask about your day. She had caught on early that Braelynn would always order the smoothie of the day. Never asked the flavor, just ordered it. So they would see if Brae could figure out what flavor it was. Braelynn commented, They just get better everyday! And Lisa always had a apple juice for the baby and a chocolate milk for Briesa, waiting at the table. Thats excellent to me. If only LeeRoy would believe me. Oh well. During dinner, DH hands me a the bottom part of Briesas kid menu which he has torn off and written on it- I.O.U. one anniversary card. What a goof. Meal was nice, we ate light as we had Palos that night. Gotta get my chocolate soufflé. Redhead was really giving DH a workout that night and he was developing a migraine. We get surprised by an anniversary cake complete with white chocolate Disney Magic on top. Very nice. We took it back to the room for the kids later. DH and I dropped Grandma and the kids at the Hercules show and changed for Palo. DH had such a headache he laid down for a while. I went down to catch the last 5 minutes of the Silent Auction and won the lot I wanted. Yea! Off to Palos. We were seated in Palo in the same table from brunch and we got our Gemma again. She treated us like royalty and brought us samples of lots of goodies. After a few glasses of water, DH's headache was better. I was glad he would be able to enjoy his meal afte all. We saw LeiLani and Rich (DVC4US) and Diana & Mike (Goodeguys) who wished us Happy Anniversary. After stuffing ourselves, Gemma said she had a soufflé for each of us. DH tried to decline his. Now the shocked look on my face must have been pretty comical, as Gemma started to giggle. I devoured mine and she brought out the other for us to share. (You cannot waste food like this, I told DH.) One bite and DH understood what I meant. So good, so good, so good. Before we left, Gemma brought us another cake from our friends at Palos. Wow, we are going to be eating a lot of cake. She wrapped it up for us to take. Back at the room we had had romantic turndown sevice for our REAS. Swan towels and rose petals on the bed and petals in the half filled tub.( I didn't notice the tub until hours later.) Too bad we were so exhausted. We called Grandma to send the kids back to the room an find out how they liked the show. They loved it. Grandma looked so tired, so we kept everyone with us that night, giving her a nice quiet cabin. I preordered breakfast for the next morning. Goodnight, tomorrow is Surial Bath,Cozumel (Paradise Beach) and Mexicali night.
