We have been on the 3 & 4 day cruises, but this was our first 7 day. It was also our first time booking a cruise using our DVC points.

Friday 4/16 Castaway Cay
We had our REAS breakfast in bed this morning. It was OK, but the sausage was cold and they didn't bring everything we ordered. I know I could have called down and to have them bring the rest up, but we had plenty of food so I didn't bother. Actually, I was still full from the night before so all I had was a glass of champagne. Great breakfast, huh? Ah, the things you can get away with while on vacation! Anyway, DH and the boys ate the rest of the meal. We got dressed and were off the boat a little after 9:30.

We found a nice spot near the kids jungle gym and planted ourselves there for the day. It was a little cloudy at first but quickly became a beautiful day. We really had a perfect day of swimming, lounging in the sun, and visiting with fellow DIS cruisers. We headed back to the ship around 4:00, very tired. It's funny how tired you can get from doing absolutely nothing! Got back to the room and packed our suitcases so they would be ready to put out after dinner.

We went to the farewell variety show which was very good. Our final dinner was back at Animator's palate. I really wanted to go to the British Pub night, so I stuck with diet coke and coffee at dinner to help me stay awake. I think a glass of wine would have put me to sleep for the night! DH didn't think I would make it, but I did. I got my second wind and we made our way over to Diversions. We had a pretty large group of DISers show up for British Pub night and it was so much fun! DH and Hans Solo got "volunteered" to participate in a song/skit which was pretty funny. After that, the CMs did a hilarious skit. We were laughing so hard and having a great time! Try not to miss this show!

Once again, by the time DH and I got back to the room, the boys were already in bed and asleep. Tomorrow we go home.:(

It's hard to say if it was really worth it, but I'm glad that we did it. Knowing that everything was prebooked and that I did not have to wait in line was great. The massage was nice, but like I said in an earlier post, my DH wasn't all that impressed. The room service champagne breakfast was OK, not great. I did like having the basket with the champagne, photo album and chocolate delivered to the room. It was a nice touch, so was the turn down service. If you don't mind splurging for that extra touch then I would say it is worth it. But at the same time, it was something that we certainly could have gotten by without.
