Cast: me(39) , DH(40), DS (14)- Zach, and DS (12)-Trevor
We have been on the 3 & 4 day cruises, but this was our first 7 day. It was also our first time booking a cruise using our DVC points.
Thursday 4/15 2nd day at Sea
Slept in even later today with no regrets! Our Palo brunch was scheduled for 11:30, but we called to see if we could come at 11:00 instead. They told us no problem. Shortly before 11, the boys headed off to lunch and to do their own thing, and DH and I went off to Palo. Just like everyone has said, brunch was excellent! I also agree with those that have said if you are deciding between brunch and dinner, go with brunch. It was that good. Of course, the best thing is to hit them both! I was surprised at both dinner and lunch to see quite a few empty tables. I wonder how necessary the ressie scramble really is? Our waitress for brunch told us to come back for dinner if we wanted to, they had room both nights. We didn't come back because we planned to eat with the boys, but I was surprised they had the availability.
After brunch, DH and I layed out in the sun and fell asleep. It was so relaxing! Eventually we went back to the room to get ready for dinner. The boys wore their suits again, and DH wore his suit as well. We weren't planning on seeing Disney Dreams, but changed our minds at the last minute. I was so glad we did! Just like Hercules, we all seemed to enjoy more than we did on our last cruise. After Dreams, we were going to have some pictures taken in the lobby. Just then, Trevor happened to notice the sun was setting, so we all ran up to deck 10 to take pictures. It was such a beautiful sight.
There was a family ventriloquist show at 7:45 that the boys wanted to see, but because of the sunset we got there a little late. It was totally packed and there was no place to sit. DH and my 14 year old wandered off to Diversion to catch the hockey game, while Trevor found a seat on the floor with some other kids. I stood back but couldn't really see anything, but the show sounded pretty funny!
Dinner was Lumiere's again, where we all had the lobster. After dinner, we all went back to the room to change, then DH and I went to the 60's party. It was a fun tribute to the Beatles. We met up with our new DIS buddies once again and had a good time. The adult cabaret show was coming on after the 60's show, but we didn't stay for it because we promised the kids we would meet up with them for the dessert buffet. What an awesome buffet! Once again, I ate too much. You never even have time to get hungry on the cruise because you just keep going from one meal to the next!
Time to head back to the room for the night. Tomorrow is Castaway Cay!
