Should we REALLY expect to see you in UNDIES and JAMMIES (a lot)? I know there is going to be a PJ Breakfast ... but I have not heard of anything involving UNDIES!

While I will be wearing jammies and undies every day, I don't expect you all will be seeing me in them, unless there are some very unusual circumstances.

Did we mention we are a sub-culture on the cruise - people will ask you why you have a weird lanyard on or why you have all that stuff on your door - it is a secret society I tell them The internet will tell you the answer

That reminds me, we need a few of those extra laynards for 'honorary' DISboarders. I think PJ (Palo manger) has one from every repositioning cruise he's worked. I wonder if he'll be back from vacation for our cruise.
Also, I wouldn't mind hand delivering one that had the name HANDSOME DANIEL on it. I think it would take the joke with him over the top!

OH, that would be great, I've been looking forward to having Clayton as a CD or ACD, heard such good things about him. Perhaps we should have a name tag made up for them, just in case.

I don't know Daniel, but boy we love Simone We are doing the btb TA/MED so will get to see him. He is such a sweetheart!

The Wifi on the ship was upgraded early in 2009. We found the connections in the cabins to be quite reasonable except very late at night. We were told that's because a lot of CMs get on when they get off duty.

So, no Simone on our cruise???? Oh well.

Hi all! Wow, you guys are so organized!!

We just booked the EB TA yesterday for myself and DH. So just trying to catch up on the thread.

If there is still room, we'd like to join the 2nd FE group, who do I need to PM the info to? Also if the lanyard team still has extras, we'd like do that too.

We've been scouring the net all day to find a good airfare BCN to JFK, but are having trouble finding a decently priced flight without a hideous layover that is after the DCL advised noon. How flexible are they with noon being the earliest time? There's a 10:50 Air Lingus we'd love to book, but not too sure what the scoop on getting off the boat earlier is. Does anyone have an early flight, that's doing the Disney transfers?

There are a lot of us on the 10:50 Aer Lingus flight. I have a flight later in the day, just up to London, but a lot of people are taking the Aer Lingus one.


You guys have become a lot chattier this week. I'm having a hard time keeping up again! Doh!

We're still working on all the FE gifts, but I'm really excited about what we have for everyone. I started putting things aside to pack already

Lynne, after some gentle nudging from our new found DIS friends, we have switched to the late dinner seating. Just for the TA though, we are going to keep the early for the Med.....for now anyway.

Does anyone know what the on ship products like soap, shampoo and conditioner are like? Thinking this is one area we might save some luggage space, assuming it is reasonable quality.

I like the shampoo and conditioner (especially the conditioner) and I have hair (fur - ) that tangles very easily. The soap is standard basic soap like in the resorts. They also give a lotion thats really good too.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the hair products are H2O Plus. They are available at your local Ulta Beauty or online. They are sea marine types with seaweed and colagen and such. I loved them and I'm really picky about my shampoo and conditioner. I wasn't impressed with the soap since it didn't really lather well. I always bring a bar of my Dove and dispose of that on the ship if there's any left.

The shampoo and conditioner is H2O. If you use lotion you will not need to bring that either as DCL provides body butter which is great and we even bring some home it is so good

We generally request extra Body Butter from our room steward - DAILY. It works WONDERS on sunburn!

Great news on the hair products!

Do they give the same stuff to all cabins? i.e. Category 12 get the same
H2O products?

The reason Im asking is, my sister and I were on a Celebrity cruise last year without our luggage , and the products we had in cabin were a generic shampoo/conditioner all in one. Now Im not 100% sure, but I think it was the same stuff in the soap dispenser! Awful stuff. Some folks in the suites took pity on us (guess the fuzz balls we became scared them!) and gave us the nice conditioners they received in their rooms. We kept asking our room steward for the nice stuff and the poor guy just kept bringing us the same all in one junk. Except once......he brought us hand cream in he same bottles

Do Disney allow you to carry off your own Bags? We did that on our Royal Caribbean cruise to save time. Seeing we are aiming for the 9.25am flight we will need any time advantage we can get.

Not Paris - but we are going to Seville. We checked train vs. plane tickets - and airfare was substantially cheaper. It is also a LONG train ride from Barcelona to Paris. It's been a while since I did anything along that route, but I'd guess it is easily 8+ hours by train. Barcelona is just so far east of Paris. I adore the train, but with only 4 days for Paris a flight might be a better use of time.

I checked around online and found good fares (about $50 per person) to Seville from either Travelocity or Expedia. Both sites now offer many of the regional European airlines. Ryan air is also another to check, although I don't think they serve Barcelona but instead some other airport that is actually 100km away (which they call Barcelona - Something to be misleading).

I've read the last, oh, idk 30 pages or so - still not caught up and not sure what I've missed.

Getting excited about the trip, and figuring out FE and all that. Packing plans (just ordered a great sweater!) and figuring out how to bring the absolute bare minimum. I am a rabid light packer... its killing me that we might need to be bring two 21" suitcases for our family of 4.....
