Sorry for the double post - so you can mail postcards from CC. What's the attraction of doing that? Do they have a cute stamp-canceling thing? Do you use USA stamps? Thanks.

You can mail postcards from CC.
Go to the postoffice at CC and buy your stamps there (cash!!).
The poststamps are special bahamian poststamps and they stamp the stamps with a CC print.

Hey Philly & PA & NY folks!

We're in Princeton, NJ -- so maybe we'll have a post-cruise reunion sometime!

On the knitting thread, I am happy to teach and could put together a "what to buy & bring" list if you want. Just let me know.

Off to get DS now... I had exactly 10 minutes for this today... and I am still no way near caught up!

And then you can wait FOUR months for the post card to arrive. Do not try to mail a bill from there :)

I actually have postcards left from our last cruise (the free ones in the drawer) and I am going to write on them and mail them from WDW before we leave to some people.

I'm baaaaaaaaaaack!

And so is Monica (Mishoe01). We booked this morning! Waiting to see if my SIL is joining us.

Just did a quick glance on page one. Do you still need bodies for a Palo brunch group? Give a should if you do (I'll also review activities and PM appropriate people as necessary).

Will catch up on the thread this weekend....just couldn't resist popping in on my lunch break.

Love the logo and door signs!

.

WELCOME BACK! We have missed you :)

When people were posting they had received flight info, I emailed my TA. She was able to get the info for me. She didn't send it automatically. But I have it-received on 12/28. No reminder. Is your TA Dreams Unlimited or someone else?

My TA is not Dreams Unlimited. I have used DU in the past. The TA I am using has one of the Disney suites booked on this cruise. They'll have gatherings regularly throughout the cruise for us to come check it out.

They always have those suites booked on long cruises! I am seriously in the wrong buisness! :rotfl2:

Parasailing at CC - anyone done this? Is it really really great? I am thinking of giving this to my hubby as a birthday gift (his birthday is on Friday before we board).

Also is their a weight limit for this? I did not see anything on the description.

Krisann

Krisann, I don't know about a weight restriction, but I did this my first cruise and thought it was awesome!!! Of course I don't have another experience to compare it to, but the crew were great and I loved the entire experience. I say go for it :thumbsup2

This is from Disneys website:

- Minimum weight 90 lbs., maximum weight 375 lbs
- For Guests wishing to ride tandem, the combined weight cannot exceed 375 lbs.

DS and I are also thinking about this in tandem. I can't decide!

Looks like slow night on the board, SOOOO

Question of the day:

How do you plan on spending our Seas days?

I have to think more about this because right now i only get something like Gibraltar on our own, but that is just not catchy enough!!!

Parasailing is awesome we did it once on CC and loved it!!!!!
I don't know of any weight restrictions.
It's going to be an awesome birthday gift so go ahead and book!!

I think that almost everybody can do this even when you have some health issues.
You need to walk down the ramp and you need to take a bigger step into the boat.
To go up you just sit down and you don't have to do anything, the parasail will lift you up.
Then when you come down you just hit the deck and then you walk a few steps, there is no hit on your knees, it goes very very smoothly.
so i think you can just go ahead and book it, or just talk on the ship with the castmembers that run the excursion deck and book it with them.

Thanks for the info on parasailing. I think I'll definately book it next year when we go on the dream. Now to talk DGD into it. :rolleyes1

That's cool! Is there anyone on our stateroom tour who has a suite? I'd love to see one. I'll never buy one but I'd love to dream.

I got my passport today!!! I sent off the renewal on 1/12, the check cleared on 1/20 and it came in the mail today. I checked the website every couple of days and it was never able to find my info. I even sent my email so they'd email me updates. Never heard a thing. Glad it finally arrived.

We're leaving our DS(17) and DD(20) at home alone for 2 weeks. :scared1:
Lori

Leaving our DS(22) at home. We should hook them up since you do know there will be at least one party either at your house or at mine. :lmao: I am ok with this as long as the house is left in order. :goodvibes

Krisann, just sent you a PM regarding lanyards.

....time to head home and get some dinnner, then get back on this thread and catch up!!!!

Sounds like a great birthday gift!

I got this for DH's birthday in 2008. He loved it! I'm signed up to do it myself on this cruise, but I may have to cancel to save some $$. I'm still contemplating it.

I'm pretty sure they do have a weight limit, but I don't recall what the number was.

Four of my family are booked for the parasailing on Castaway, pretty sure we will do it, but if my excursion budget keeps growing for this trip we will have to reconsider.

I would really like to do this, too. But I'm not in the best shape (round and broken). :rotfl2: I'm not sure I could do it with my bad knees. Anyway, I think I read somewhere the weight limit was maybe 350-375. Great b-day gift!

DH has done the parasailing a couple times - totally enjoyed! DH said the hardest part about this walking down three steps to the dock (meaning - if you can walk, you can parasail!). These guys do not drop you into the water you sit flat on the boat deck to get hooked up.

Yes! You should be a TA. I get all my travel advice from you! :lmao:

That is what DH always says! I was actually going back to school for event planning. That is did not last very long. I made dean's list and decided I missed my family too much. Oh yeah, and I could not be taking this vacation either.

Can you wear glasses while parasailing?
Eleasa:

My mom did and DH wore his sunglasses. It is sooooo peaceful up there. It was amazing. DD (4) Madison absolutly loved it and she was just one day past her 4th birthday when she did it.

Looks like slow night on the board, SOOOO

Question of the day:

How do you plan on spending our Seas days?

I have never watched a movie on board and I plan on doing that this time. There are a few that will be new so I am looking forward to them. I really want to do the galley tour since we have never done it. I am hoping to sit on our verandah but might not be able to if the weather was like it was last time. I love family time, like the dance parties and karaoke. Then off to Rockin Bar D. The "best" part about the time changes is that I don't go to bed as early as normal. By the 5th time change before Madeira it will feel like we are eating lunch for dinner.

Oh I hope that mine gets here quick too. I just want to cross that off my list. Then I have to get my mom to get her picture taken.....UGH! She is like having a third daughter sometimes!

Four of my family are booked for the parasailing on Castaway, pretty sure we will do it, but if my excursion budget keeps growing for this trip we will have to reconsider.

The Med excursions have blown any budget I could have imagined!!!

I see that Jackie has spilled the beans & told you our news:rotfl:

I'm still a bit nervous about the seas (due to motion sickeness issues) but am really excited about this new adventure

Krisann - I'm assuming Jackie included me in the lanyard pm, right? Looking forward to seeing you and DH again.

Hi Woody! Hi Kathe! Hi Ginamarie (how's Salvatore?)! I think it's great to see some familiar faces :goodvibes

Need to start doing the research on the ports to see what I want to do.

BTW - Lynne....LOVE the website - You ROCK!:worship:
