The only reservation I could get for CRT on a MNSSHP night was for 4:05. I plan to get a ticket for MNSSHP that night, but wasn't otherwise planning to use a regular park ticket that day. I understand people are usually let in for MNSSHP beginning at 4pm - is that always the case? Is there usually a huge line right at 4:00? (Even if I got in the park at 4 on the dot and sprinted to CRT, would I be able to make it in ~5 minutes?) I don't want to hang onto the reservation if there is no chance I'll make it...Thanks!

It HAS been. Subject to change, who knows.

Decent line. I'd be there earlier for bag check.

You wouldn't be especially late if you just walked with purpose.

I don't think you'd make it in five minutes, but I do think you'd make it before they charged you as a no show. It is a little risky though.

I would think you could go through bag check earlier if you want. It just may be that your tickets will not get you through the turnstiles before 4pm, but they are not checking media at the point of bag check. I'd get there around 3:40ish, get through bag check, and just hang out near the turnstiles until it turns 4pm. I think you have a 10 minute grace period, 15 minutes should be enough time to get through the turnstiles and get up to CRT.

Also keep looking for later times. people drop reservations all the time!

I'd go early and see if you can get it fifteen minutes early. That a tight ressie and you know lines are going to be long.

I would be at bag check by 3:30, and once you get through to the line for the party, just ask one of the CMs there if there is any way you can enter a few minutes early, showing him your ADR on your app. If not, I hink if you are towards the front, you should be able to get to the castle in about 10 min. walking at a brisk pace. In the meantime, keep checking for any reserv. that pop up for a little later so you don't have to stress - I know it is not as likely with CRT, but people do change plans. You can also check the cancellation thread on here for your month, and see if anyone drops one that you can coordinate with to grab it.

I don't think there's much CM discretion on letting in early -- the ticket scanner has to accept the validity of the MNSSHP ticket. You run a risk of a regular day of a ticket (if you have them) being used if you scan in early.

You can be through bag check and ready to rumble at 4.

Yes, as someone else said.... Walk with a purpose! Get to the line early and then just motor on down the street

I would get to the turnstiles around 3:30 to be near the front because there can be quite a crowd waiting to get in. You won't be able to walk up to a castmember and ask to be let in early even with a dining reservation because they have to wait until the turnstiles are enabled to read the MNSSHP tickets first. Sometimes the turnstiles are enabled a little before 4:00. Once inside you must get your wristband (and treat bag) before you can head to CRT.

We have always gotten in to the park by 3:50 on a MNSSHP night in the past. I think you also have a 15 minute grace period on ADRs. That gives you until 4:20 to get there. Should not be a problem if Disney continues to handle parties as they have in the past.

Agree you should get to the park by 3:30, go through bag check, then line up to be some of the first through the gates. Even if they don't open them until 4 pm, you should still make it.

I would follow threads here to find out if there are any new MNSSHP procedures this year. If procedures change, you can find out here and adjust plans accordingly.

I agree with everyone who has said to get through bag check early and be able to get through the 'turnstyle' right at 4:00 then walk with a purpose back to the Castle.

What a perfect dinner reservation for a MNSSHP night! You'll be right in the middle of the Park close to when the Party starts! Fabulous!!

We had a 4:05 ADR at BOG last year at MNSSHP, no other tickets to get in either, so a similar situation.

It took forever for us to get a bus from POR, so we ended up not getting to the gates until right at 4pm. Luckily, there was no line at all, at bag check or the gates. I wouldn't count on that though, we had certainly planned to be there earlier.

It was tight, but we did just barely make it in time, maybe a minute or two late. I think an early dinner is the way to go on a party night, so that you'll be ready to enjoy the rest of the evening.

I agree. The latest we book is 5 but 4 is even better!

We booked that for our MVMCP this year. Do you remember around what time you were done eating? My priority it to get in like for Jack Skellington after dinner but I can't remember how long dinner usually takes

The timestamp on our picture with the Beast says 5:37pm. So just over 90 minutes from our ADR time. It seems like we waited about 10 minutes after checking in before we were seated. And we did not rush or eat quickly. I'm pretty sure we had dessert too.

. I think you have a 10 minute grace period

ADR Times and Tardiness "411":
1) WDW advises you to be at the ADR 15-minutes early.
2) You are expected to meet your ADR time, just like any other appt.
3) Being on-time is your responsibility, not that of WDW.
4) If late, they *can* cancel the ADR.
. . . They have the option of canceling and just sending you away.
. . . It is up the eatery manager to decide if you get charged the $10/person no-show fee.
. . . If they cancel a pre-paid meal (HDDR, Luau, CRT) you loose the entire pre-paid cost.
5) Under normal conditions, they usually allow up to a 15-minute lateness, but this is kindness, not a Grace Period.
6) If really busy, (eg, Free Dining, Holidays), there might be no Grace Period.
7) If you miss the ADR, you *might* have the ability to wait for a table.
8) For waiting times, there is no estimate, waits of 1-1½ hrs are common.
. . . if the eatery is not too busy, wait times could be minimal
. . . just depends upon the individual day-time-etc

Same here! We were also let in a few minutes before 4pm. Around 350pm I believe. I honestly think you can make it as long as you go thru bag check around 330-340...and are waiting at the turnstile by 4pm. Definitely walk with purpose! :)
