3rd Time's the Charm!? A 2014 PTR *NEW 11/21!*

Hey Krysten! I think I'm all caught up.

Your wedding pics are absolutely beautiful! :goodvibes

I'm so happy to hear your doc appointments have gone well.

Your resort choices look great.

I'm excited to read your updated park plans now that you'll be bringing your little one along.

:welcome: Thanks for stopping by and for your kind words! I am so beyond excited for this trip, my Disney obsession has really been taken up a notch lol

Hello all!

I just wanted to post a quick update after the weekend. We had a "long" weekend here, although I ended up working every day! I'm currently on day 5 of a 9 day stint of work days, I will be glad when Sunday rolls around and I can have a day to rest a bit!

I had to share a couple of little things that I got this weekend. My mom did a bit of shopping for me.

First, she bought me this adorable maternity shirt, that I know you guys will appreciate...

Ahh it is so cute and comfy!!

And then she also bought a little something for the baby. This is just too darn precious.

It's a little robe and sock monkey pacifier holder! So adorable!

****************************************************************

As far as trip news goes, we are still thinking and talking about it every day. The more I think about it, and after small talks with my mom (and maybe DH lol) I am thinking that a split stay is going to be in order. As long as prices look good, I think that DH, the baby and I will stay at WL for about 3 nights before meeting up with my family in a villa at BLT for another 7 nights. We haven't taken a real trip in a while, so a nice 10 night trip will be great.

I'm hoping to update again soon with our new plans for MK, so stay tuned!

Those were some nice gifts from your mom! :thumbsup2

If I'm completely honest, I don't get the whole sock monkey thing, but we have sock monkey hats and all kinds of stuff. :lmao: I'm sure the baby will love it.

I like the idea of a split stay at WL and BLT. I'm a huge WL fan so I'm always in favor of staying there, but mixing that with BLT will be great. Especially since the only time you'd have to fold a stroller on Disney Transportation will be when you go to DHS or AK (or maybe EPCOT if you go there from WL). :thumbsup2

Oh my gosh! That maternity shirt is SO cute! I love the little bath robe too! Ah, love baby stuff. Can't get enough of it!

I've always wanted to try a split stay. We are KIND of doing one when we go in December, but it's only for a day so I'm not sure if it REALLY counts, lol. It'll be nice for you, DH, and your little one to have some alone time together for a few days before the rest of your family gets there. I'm glad we are getting a few days of alone time as well.

I love the maternity shirt!

The robe and pacifier holder are precious!

I think a split stay sounds perfect.:goodvibes

Omg, cutest maternity shirt ever! And the little sock monkey robe is adorable! How sweet of your mother :)

Split stay sounds like a nice idea. I've always wanted to do a split stay but DH doesn't like the idea of moving halfway through. I just want to see more than one resort! Lol

Such a cute shirt. I wish I saw that when I was pregnant. Very cute robe for the baby also. I love baby stuff.

Thank you, my mom really is great. And honestly, I don't really get a lot of these trends either, but the robe is so stinkin cute, I'll let it go :rotfl: All of these comments are getting me excited about doing a split stay!

My mom is also obsessed with Disney, so as soon as she saw it, she had to get it for me lol The thought of a split stay doesn't usually even enter my mind, but because of the nature of this trip, it makes sense this time. A split stay is a split stay, I would say that yours counts!

Thank you :goodvibes I'm loving all of these positive split stay vibes!

Isn't it the cutest?! I'm so lucky to have a Disney loving mom! I'm usually more on your DH's side about split-stays, but because we want that time to ourselves at the beginning of the trip (and I really want to stay at BLT lol) I think that a split stay makes sense here.

Thank you :goodvibes There is so much adorable baby stuff these days!

Hey Krysten,

I was all into catching up with your trip plans... and starting reading and realized that you're pregnant....!!!!:yay::yay::yay:

How awesome... A Big Congratulations...

(you're revised trip plans sound good too...;)

I am finally back. And I read every single update. But I am commenting on the best one of all...you are pregnant. CONGRATULATIONS!!!! I am so happy for you Krysten. This is just the best news I've read in weeks. :goodvibes

Now back to your trip. Have you looked into renting DVC points? It really is much cheaper. As you know the CSR was our home for nine of our last twelve trips. And then we started renting points as it turned out cheaper than paying rack rate for a moderate and definitely cheaper than paying rack rate for a deluxe.

The only downside to this is one you book, you cannot change or cancel. You won't get a refund.

I look forward to following along as your pregnancy moves on and you make your plans.

You'll have to forgive me because I will fall behind again at some point as we leave for our 16 day trip next Friday.

Thank you very much :goodvibes We are thrilled! I haven't really looked into renting points, it just isn't something that's been on my radar (and not for any particular reason). But thank you for mentioning it, I will definitely take a look.

Have a great time on your trip!! I can't wait to read all about it when you get back :)

Hiii!!

I'm still here!! I've been super busy lately, so my DIS time has been quite minimal. I'm sort of working 3 jobs right now, plus I've got regular life stuff (cooking, cleaning, taking care of the dog), lots of getting ready for the baby, and my semester at school starts in less than 2 weeks *gulp!*

My next update is probably going to be updated MK plans and maybe even some LISTS (!!) because I am a huge nerd and I love lists :rotfl:

So I just wanted to say hello and I hope that you are all doing well!!

Wow, all of that on top of being pregnant? :scared1: Phew, you are a champion, lady!

Hope the start of your school year goes well! No worries about the lists. I LOVE lists! Probably almost too much... :cheer2:

:rotfl: I'm at my best when I'm kept busy and now that I'm not exhausted all of the time like I was in the first trimester I have to get myself moving!

Thanks for the well wishes about the school year, I can't wait to be finally finished with this degree.

Happy Labour Day Weekend everyone!! (And happy Monday to those who don't have Labour Day where they live!)

It has been a while since I've updated, but with this long weekend (and me being home by myself right now) I've found some time to put something together!

In non-trip news, things have been quite busy around here. I'm working quite a bit, which is great. I've had some extra things to do such as taking my baby brother to register for secondary school :scared1: I can't believe that he starts grade 9 tomorrow already. I also had to go and pick up all of my books for my classes that are starting this week, and I can't believe that my summer is already drawing to a close, it went by far too quickly.

We have been trying to do things around the house to get ready for the baby. With only one day off a week together (if that) it takes a while to get things done, so we are getting started with a little bit at a time.

On Wednesday, I have my anatomy scan for the baby and an OB appointment. We will be getting results from previous tests, and DH is finally getting to see and hear the baby! We are also hoping to find out the sex of the baby this week. I will be sure to post an update after the appointments!

Now for the Disney stuff!! We haven't made any concrete plans or changes yet, everything is still just set for December 2014 and it is a waiting game for now.

So here are my new and improved plans for

Magic Kingdom!

I want to preface this by saying that I am 100% aware that most of my plans could go out the window with a baby on the trip, but these are going to be the things on my bucket list that I would love to get done if we get the opportunity. We will definitely be visiting this park multiple times. It is our favourite and there are so many things that I want to do there with the baby. We will also probably do MVMCP again, which gives us another MK night.

Character Meets

One of the biggest changes is going to be character meets

On my past few trips, I have done minimal character meets. I have pictures of me with many characters from when I was younger, and it just wasn't something that I cared to do much of as an adult. Plus, we always squeeze in a couple of character meals, so I still got some of that character interaction. With the baby coming, I want to make a point of doing some more character meets. I still have to make a list of all of the different characters and where they can be found (on my To Do List!).

Rides
Under the Sea

Dumbo!

TTA Peoplemover

Magic Kingdom Railroad

It's A Small World

The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh

Other Rides/Attractions
- Jungle Cruise
- Country Bear Jamboree
- Liberty Belle Riverboat
- The Haunted Mansion
- Peter Pan's Flight
- Mickey's Philharmagic
- The Enchanted Tiki Room
- Carousel of Progress

After typing those out it seems like quite a long list, but it will be over a period of a few days and they aren't all essential. DH may also want to go on the Mountains, so those could be factored in as well.

Other

I'm sure that we will do some browsing around here

It would also be nice to catch a parade and see some fireworks! My mom really likes the idea of staying at BLT and being able to see Wishes from the resort so that the baby could sleep while we watch if needed.

I'm going to also keep a running To Do List as I update. I did this on one of my other reports and I found it helpful. There is a ton to do right now, but I will just add what came from this update.

To Do List
- Make a list of character meet and greets and decide on which ones we want to do

Looks like some great ideas. You'll definitely want to do more character meets with the baby. It makes great pictures and some fun character interactions, even if they're too young to really get anything out of it or remember it.

Maybe you'll be lucky and the baby will be a stroller napper. DD was great about it and we actually even took her on a few of the Fantasyland rides while she was asleep last year. Put that on the parent of the year application... :rolleyes1

I can't believe it's time for school to start again. I hope you've been doing okay with the summer temps.

I will be sending thoughts and pixie dust your way on Wednesday. :wizard:

Your MK plans look like so much fun. It's so nice that the wee ones are able to go on so many rides at MK.

Exactly! You have to do what you have to do, I would definitely put that on your application :rotfl:

I can't believe it either! It was really grey and chilly here yesterday, and it was like in one day fall had arrived. I've been fine with summer temps, I'm always cold, and pregnancy (surprisingly) hasn't changed that so far. I agree with you about all of the great stuff at MK for the little ones (and the not so little ones!).

I plan to do an update about my appointments sometime in the next few days, so hopefully everyone stays tuned!

Summer really does go too fast, doesn't it? I hate when it comes to a close. As much as I love September weather it pains me to see summer end.

Fun pictures. I love the Christmas decorations. They are so festive. Love that castle picture. Gorgeous!
