3rd Times a Charm! Mar. 8-14..lots of pics

Great update..looks like a great start on the last day!

Sorry to hear about Claire's tonsils.. but I know it will make her breathe better. Please keep us updated on her recovery.

Hi, I'm a bit late in being a non-lurker but wanted to let you know I enjoy reading your report. We will be at Pop too so it's nice to see the pictures. Although, I am sad to here about the frozen drink machine... :)

Oh no, poor Claire. I'm sorry to hear she has to have her tonsils removed but look at the bright side ~ better sleep, more energy, and loads of ice cream while she recovers right?

I guess we both had all kinds of fire issues last week huh? You probably heard about these on the news. It was pretty bad but they have it under control now. So many people lost their homes though and that blows.

I just love reading your trip report. It's like reading bits and pieces of my own. Some of the best memories ever! That frontier Donald is my favorite one ever! I love this outfit! Here are the kids with him last Summer. I saw him again in December but he had a really long line. I never saw him this time around though.

And the Pirate Tutorial...DS was chosen to fight Captain Jack! The hot Cpt Jack at that! He was so excited!

See...Hot Jack! LOL

And our DD's have the same costumes! I love the older Sleepy Beauty so much better than the new one. I actually prefer all of the older dresses to the new ones. The older ones look more like the Princesses you meet in the parks! The old Cinderella is my favorite! It looks almost just like the one she wears!

I hate to see your trip report coming to an end. It's time for ya'll to book again! You should do the girls only trip this Summer as they offer the free dining! I rebooked my sisters trip yesterday so there's still plenty of room at the resorts. I had a choice of anywhere pretty much. Okay, enough rambling. I have an update to write....:goodvibes

I love the older costumes too. A couple of people asked me where we got the Aurora one, and I told them there, only a year ago, and some were disappointed that the new ones didn't look like that.

Great update..looks like a great start on the last day!

After Donald, we decide to walk over to Fantasyland and ride Its a Small World.

Fantasyland was jammed packed. :grouphug:

We parked the stroller and got in line. I think it was 20 minutes.

Going to stray off topic now!

A few weeks ago Claire got her dance recital costume. It is so cute. She wants to wear it all the time, but she can't till after the show in June.
Anyways, here is some video of her practicing with the costume on over her dance clothes and then a few pictures from that day.

Thanks. She loves being on stage. They still need alot of work, but the little ones are so cute on stage. They forget stuff and watch each other. LOL!
They get to perform on Tuesday for a Cinco De Mayo party. I told her we should practice today so she remembers it. The teacher wasn;t there last class and the sub just did tumblin with them.

So cute! My DD5 is also in dance. She was so excited when she found out they are going to dance to "A Whole New World" and they are all dressing as Jasmine! My DD got her costume a few weeks ago and has been having a fit to wear hers too! It is so cute to watch them dance at that age. I get teary eyed at every practice watching them. It is precious.

Too Cute! I miss dance, my daughter did ballet but now she is on the elementary dance team. I had some girls a couple of years ago in 4th grade that got their toe shoes. They were so excited they brought them to school to dance in front of the class.

How cute, she doesn't seem shy at all!!!! She looks like she would be right at home on stage. A future WDW cast member!!!

Claire is just precious! I cannot wait to see my niece's ballet recital. They put on a show with all the dancers from 3 year olds to 17 year olds, so it's tons of fun!

Thanks everyone. I think she is too cute too. We can't wait for the recital in June.

A couple of updates.

I ordered a Canon 50D and it should arrive next week.

The bad news is that Paige (my 17 YO DD ) is going to prom tonight! So I have to use the point and shoot to take pictures. I'm bummed about that, but I will try to take them outside, so I can get the best amount of light.
I'll post them most likely tomorrow. I am also taking some with my film SLR in B&W film. But I need to find a place that processes that kind of film. Most around here do a color processing, and it can make the pictures not look as nice. I took a class a while back and we developed them ourselves and it was super cool, but to buy all that stuff would just be too much.

Claire's surgery is scheduled for June 22. Don't have the time yet, but it will be in the morning.

And thats it in the way of updates. LOL!

Hi Jenseib

I am new to this forum as of today and yours is the first TR that I have read!:thumbsup2.

I want to thank you so much for such a great TR, I have thouroughly enjoyed reading every word and looking at every picture from you holiday.

Claire is just adorable - I have 2 boys so it was nice to see Disney through a little girls eyes.

Many Thanks

SHARON

I love the older styles much better! I had someone offer me $100 for my Snow White and I wouldn't sell it. I want to keep them for her treasure chest. The new ones look more like a Disney Store costume. I feel so bad we didn't let those two play in March! :headache:

Claire's dance costume is so cute! Pink is so pretty on blondes! :cutie:

Did your Canon mess up? You should have just went to Nikon. I'm telling you girl it's so much better! I know you have a bunch of Canon stuff but you could have sold it on ebay. I always swore by Olympus but making the switch to Nikon is the best move I've ever made! Oh...as for processing the black and white film...you can still send it off and get it done the right way. I don't know of anyone who does it in one hour though. I miss working in the dark room too but digital is so much easier. I'm about to run a special and I'm not even going to offer rpints. Just a disc. It's easier for me and less time consuming. Besides...I feel like people should get the disc so they can make whatever they want from it. Ya know? Yeah, you could make more $ in the long run doing prints but it's a PITA! :goodvibes

Welcome!
I feel so honored your first post is here! LOL!
I'm so glad you enjoyed the report. I'll try to get more up tomorrow.

I just couldn't part with my lenses and have to start all over. They aren;t the best in any means, but I do like them. I have a pretty nice telephoto for what I paid, and I know I could never get one for that price again.

I know I have said this but I am so sad this is ending... feel free to drag it out as long as possible.. LOL..
Sorry about the tonsils, my son has to have his adnoids taken out and tubes put in on Wednesday.. I am dreading it but i know it will make him better, good luck with Claire, im sure its best.

Love your trip report...great job!

I hope he does well. Paige had tubes several times when she was little and then after she had the tonsils and adnoids out the problems pretty much went away.

After Small World we got Fast Passes for Pooh. It also came with an extra fast pass for Mickey’s Philharmagic. We are not big fans of this. :confused3 I know most love it, but I find it just OK. We only saw it once, which was last year, and I just didn’t think it was anything special. So for now we decided to not use them. Maybe later. :cutie:

Skip was in a lot of pain from his hip. He decided he would go back to the room and get some ibuprofen. I told him I had some with us, but he said he wanted to see if he had something else back at the room. :hippie:

So we departed and Claire and I headed over to ToonTown.

We stopped and got a photopass on the way.

We got in line for Goofy’s Barnstormer.

Claire was so funny. She told me, “I rode this before” and I said “yes, you rode it several times before” and she said “I rode it with dad”.
I told her “yes with dad and you’ve rode it with me before too.” And her reply was. “I never had to wait in a line with dad”. LOL! I guess it was my fault we had to wait in a line.

I took some pictures while waiting.

It’s a fun ride, but way too short.
