3rd party tickets, arriving 8/1 - don't have MagicBands or cards

Will I have to go to Guest Services to get cards when we arrive? We are staying off-site as well. If I order MagicBands, I know I can just link them online... honestly was leaning towards doing that just for ease of paying for stuff as well, but in case I don't... wondering if that was pretty much my only option. TIA!

If you are staying off-site, you can't use a MagicBand to pay for purchases.

Yes, you can go to any ticket window or guest relations to get ticket cards.

Or, if you do order MagicBands, and link them to your MDE profiles, you should be able to use them without stopping anywhere. But, as Michael wrote, you cannot use them for purchases unless you are staying at a Disney resort. Only as tickets and photopass.

Our first trip I orderd my magic bands off shop Disney and linked them using the number on the back. I only ordered them for the kids only, I wanted the ride photos/videos. I did not mind using a card for FP but since thats not a thing you dont need them. Use apple/google pay for food you can use the app to purchase food.

Magic bands and/or cards from a previous trip will still work, if you and your party still have any. You just have to have them linked to each person's MDE.

It will still work as a park ticket and for fp's even if the battery is dead.

It will work indefinitely for touchpoint scanning.

The only things affected by battery life are the long range functions, namely automatic ride photos and effects. And the only way to check it is to see if those photos show up.
