But I bet your story is similar to mine in that you found a killer rate compared with everyone else. That’s when I did some research. Read good and bad. I guess Agoda is out of the Far East (I can’t remember what country, want to say the Philippeans?) and most don’t have issue with hotels in that area. When you go out of that region, there’s where I read the bad stories. (Hotel had no reservation, Agoda couldn’t be reached, etc.)

That was enough for me to tread with caution.

Exactly, accept we have already booked our room.
We are less than 2 months out and I don't know what made me look at reviews this morning and I am now glad and scared I did. I just emailed the hotel we booked to see if they have our reservation in their system. At least we have time to book something and aren't standing at the reservation desk after flying all night and then finding out we don't have a room.
They are not suppose to charge us until August 25th, it says free cancellation until then.

I hope the hotel has your reservation. If they do, I would check again on Aug 26th (if reservation is after that date) to make sure it is still there so you won't arrive to a headache.

Because I am a worrier, I would likely make a back up reservation I could cancel a day before arrival just in case you call the hotel before arrival and your reservation somehow disappeared.
