3rd Park Marvel theme under consideration ?

that really wouldnt interest me at all, i think having a whole park dedication to just superheroes is a bad idea. the good thing about the two parks as they are is there is something for everyone

I agree. Although it might keep the boys happy and free up Fantasyland for us though!! :rotfl:

I'd have thought that a Marvel-themed park would be built in the US, not at DLP. Saying that, the WDC might not want to build it at WDW because of its proximity to Islands Of Adventure, which already has Super Hero Island. Besides, WDW probably has enough on its plate with four parks and two water parks. It can't really be built at Anaheim due to a lack of available space, so DLP seems like the obvious choice I suppose. Given its recent financial issues, it could probably benefit from a third gate. I really hope they finish WDS first though.

Disney can't build a Marvel theme park in the USA due to the contract that Universal already had with Marvel before Disney bought the company. So Paris could be a good location for one.

Oh right, I wasn't aware of that. There we go then!

After buying Marvel, it was obvious that Disney would want to at least have a Marvel-themed land, so why not a whole park? I can see their logic but it's not something I would be particularly excited about. A lot of other people would like it though.

As a huge Marvel fan I love this idea, and I imagine Lucas will be in years to come. Would also mean a ton of money for DLP as people from all over the world would visit with there not being a US alternative.

I think its a brilliant idea :) I love islands of adventure and it would give disney chance to make some more rides for us thrill seekers :D

plus... I think marvel super hero island at ioa has some of the best theming I've seen...

Having had 2 boys we've been through the Hulk, Spiderman etc. etc stages I can see that this would be winner with the lads, not sure how or if it would appeal to the girls though. If it increases revenue and popularity of the park I'm in favour. :thumbsup2

As a massive fan of Universal (had to be as my ex is in there nearly every day and I would get dragged along........:lmao:) I would LOVE a third gate to be this!!

The rides they have are awesome - the Hulk was my sons first real coaster, my daughter still remembers the day she was tall enough to ride on Spiderman (and tell all the baddies off my shouting at them). They way they run the parks in cleanliness is brilliant. If this were to happen, I'd be all for it. Would stop the children hankering after Orlando and would make my stay in DLP all the more better!!

Or course Universal Studios Singapore has opened recently (though not all of the rides are operational or finished yet) but I feel it lacks what the U.S park have so far. Being the Marvel charactors to a new gate and watch those visitors pour in! (But can't see Captain America floating around there though :rotfl2:)

I have liked this idea since the contract extension was mentioned and have to say that I still do, but maybe now I have changed my mind. Why not still have something for everyone with a DISNEY element?

WORLD OF HERO'S would mean others - Marvel Land - but also...

Incredible's, Bolt, Basil the Mouse Detective, Narnia, G-Force, Robin Hood, Hercules, Spy Kids (Floops Castle with a mirror maze and roller coaster), Bug's Life, Mulan, Treasure Planet.

Most of all is... Mickey Mouse, Fantasia, Fun and Fancy Free, The Three Musketeers.

I really want to see this - so unique to Paris it could be the saviour!

There are some very good ideas there. You sould send them to Philippe Gas.
