So I have had 3 flight changes through Delta and I still have 2 months till my trip! It woulnt be such a big deal (since they keep changing just by 4-5 minutes---stupid I know) BUT they keep canceling my seat assignments so I need to call and get them taken care of....I have been on hold now for 25 minutes and I am guessing they'll say I have to call back tomorrow since it's a SUnday (they did that once in the beginning)...
Oh did I mention that they don't even send me an email letting me know of the changes??? I just HAPPENED to check them each time. sigh...I now remember why I switched my last few trips from Delta to Jetblue---why did I go back?

I have had the same issue with Delta. They have changed the flight from BOS to MCO three times. The flight from MCO to BOS twice. Also no email.

I am irritated because they made the flight leaving BOS about an hour earlier. This means that I don't think DD will be able to go to camp on her last day, or I will have to pull her in the middle of the day.

I haven't called yet for seats, as my gut tells me it will change one more time.

I know it is frustrating and good luck! I also really love Jet Blue. You probably went back for the same reason I did, cheaper flight. I also keep trying to remember that it is ultimately okay because we are going on vacation!!!

We are flying the same airline, from the same hub, around the same time and we are having the same issues....Well this time when I got the rep on the phone she said the seats won't change...she said they stay the same they just won't reflect on the web site...She said I can go online 24 hours before and print my boarding passes and won't have to worry---even if they change again (she said she hopes for my sake they won't! LOL).
Yes I went because it was all of about $20 per person cheaper on my days and times so I went with Delta (just realized I should have posted this on the tranportation board! WOOPS!) and now I deal with this AGAIN...
It cracks me up---we are only changing times coming home by 4 minutes and going down by 5...it's a riot they even bother.

I'm right there with you we are flying Spirit and they have changed mine 2 times too.. First they cancelled my flight down completely and put me on an afternoon flight so I called and got that changed then they changed it by and hour later so we are ok now but yes its a pita...

Same thing keeps happening to me with Delta as well. I got the same information from the Delta rep as well except she said that if they change the actual plane, then you will have to call and have your seats reassigned. This actually happened...they switched to a biggerf plane and our seats were now in an exit row and we are traveling with kids, so I had to spend 45 minutes on hold to get new seats. :confused3

But, I guess it is the price I pay for looking for a bargain...Delta was almost $100 per person roundtrip, so it was a $500 difference.

Good luck with Delta and have a great trip!:goodvibes

We, too, are flying Delta once again. They have the best times from LAX to MCO, they're nonstops, and the fares are usually quite good. This time they're excellent, as we're flying for free, having been bumped on our last return flight from MCO/LAX. The compensation for the return flight was enough to purchase RT tix for the next trip. If we're lucky, we may never have to purchase a ticket again...

We're prepared to put up with a little nonsense; won't like it, but will put up with it!

Why are you calling to arrange your seast assignment? You should be able to do that online. That is what I have always done.

I've had the same problem with United TED. They moved my departing flight from IAD from 10:30am to 8:00am. Not so bad, except I live 3 hours from IAD. Again, no email, I just happened to check my flight online. My return flight was also changed from 3:30pm to 5:00pm. I flew AirTran last year and had no changes, no problems.

When Delta changes the flight times, they do not allow you to arrange your seats online until you call them to confirm the new changes...it's a real pain. Once you confirm the changes, you are then free to make any changes to your seats online.

You have to be vigilant with Delta and check your flights. They had our flights time changed, the only problem was that our flight from JFK was leaving 5 minutes after our flight from Orlando was leaving the airport. I'm no scientist, but I think the flight from Orlando to JFK is longer the 5 minutes......
We called Delta and they fixed it by putting us on another flight, but imagine if we wouldn't have checked:scared1:

Kazzy:hippie:

Delta is doing the same thing to us for our Sept. trip. When I checked the reservations online, it said that ALL the four legs had changed times/flight numbers, and we had NO seats assigned any more! It would not let me get the new seats online, so I called. The agent informed me that she had to re-issue the tickets! Not only that, but we are now on a 2 1/2 hour layover in Atlanta. BOO! That's cutting into my Disney time badly!
I wonder what would have happened if I did not call and have the tickets re-issued?
