Not sure what to do for DS3 bday. We will have DxDDp. If it was me I would do a signature but I don't think he'll be happy with that. Is the BBQ that bad? Right now it will just be the 2 of us for the first night, my DH and DD6 will be joining us for the rest of the trip the next day because we don't want her to miss school. Im thinking it may be difficult to maneuver him and do the buffet so then I lean towards SOA. Or might do something like WCC. I would do HDDMR but we are doing that a couple of months prior and wanted to try something different.

My 3 year old daughter LOVVVVVVVVED it. I mean, total highlight. We were completely hesitant about booking it, with reviews all over the place- however it is a must-do now on our list. We actually loved the food- it's bbq, and pretty good (all except the burgers which were something out of a bad buffet) - everything was consistently brought out fresh food, and there's open bar (with wine and beer). All you can eat popsicles and Mickey bars too!
Then entertainment was great, plenty of character interaction, and a rope/rodeo guy. Lots of music on stage and they really get the kids involved.
We are SO glad we went, and I would consider us pretty picky when it comes to food (we're New Yorkers, so that says something!).
Good luck!~!

I am with you on the buffet. Haven't tried MBB, but WCC would be a good option. I went with just my 2.5 year old and it was great. All she ate was a milkshake, as there was so much silliness to watch, and I enjoyed my meal. They would likely sing to your ds if he has a birthday button on.

My daughter loved Mickey's BYBBQ. She met her favorite characters and danced with them and thought is was the greatest thing in the world! Well, that and the 2 mickey ice cream bars she ate. She went and grabbed a third but we were having none of that, lol!

I know there're people out there who didn't like it or didn't have a good time, but we have never had a problem. It's good food and a good time.

And I will second Whispering Canyon, although I've found that shy kids don't enjoy it as much as the more outgoing ones.

I don't have experience with the Micky BBQ. Last year our youngest (4 at the time) loved Crystal Palace lunch and Tusker House lunch.

We have never been to the BBQ, but my son was completely bored at SOA when he was 3. Have you thought about Garden Grill? That would allow him to see some characters and you don't have to worry about a buffet.

Glad to hear positive things about the BBQ!!!!! I think we will try it and see how it goes.
