That's not true at all. Unless he works in a host/ess position he really shouldn't be telling people that. I had an ADR for Tony's after the fireworks one year and they were actively turning people away who kept claiming they couldn't make it to their 7:45 slot because of the fireworks. Basically It was 8:20 at that point which means they stopped ot watch the fireworks and then came over. They were telling people that was too long and there wouldn't be tables unless there were no shows. If you are more then 15 minutes late there is no guarantee your table will be there or that you will be allowed to wait for one.

He did work dinning before and it might have been because it was so lat at night and the park was closing soon is why they were doing this. like I said before try to get there as soon as you can and see what happens or if you are that worried miss the parade and just go for your ADR

No "guarantee" for anything, of course.
But, there is so much evidence from hundreds of reports that guests have been offered much more leeway.

Like Robo says this is early so hopefully its not an issue. I screwed up when I made the reservations I could have gotten a later time but thought I had plenty of time at the time and then started thinking more about it later and realized oh no. And now there is no more times left, but I keep checking there as well. I'll let you know if I have any problems. Thanks again.

So no crossings at all? What if I watched it on the east side of the hub and then make my way towards the RR station exit. Or stay on the west side in Adventureland and cut thru the emporium?

If you watched from the East side of the parade route, there is no need to cross the parade route to exit the park. Just stay on the East side of Main St., past Confectionary, past Town Sq. Theater and then through either the East or West portal to park exit.
