I had a thought and wondered what everyone thought. We are going on a 3 day land 4 day sea trip...
I thought about packing what we would need for 3 days in one bag...for the 2 of us for 3 days we wouldnt need much...
then I figured I would pack another bag (garmet bag) for the cruise...that way we would only have to worry about opening one bag while on land and we'd be all set for the sea portion with out having to figure out what is where etc...

What do you think?

Last year when we did the 3/4, kept everything separate! Worked great!

Less packing at both ends of each journey!

We frequently do several park days before a 7 day cruise. I always pack a "cruise only" bag of things I won't need until we are on the ship. It doesn't get opened till we are in our cabin. My "both" things go in my park bag. Since we're on a longer trip, I do a load of laundry the night before the cruise so all our "playclothes" are clean again.

When we did the 3 day land/4 day sea with our 3 kids we used 3 suitcases. We stayed an extra 3 days after the cruise so we just packed up our before the cruise wear for WDW in 1 suitcase, then all of our cruise wear in 1 suitcase and then our after the cruise in 1 suitcase. We did really well and it was nice to only have to open 1 suitcase at each place.

cool sounds like it will work out well than!

We did 3 days Universal and 4 day Cruise. I packed for half of the trip and did one load of laundry before we left Universal. Everything was fresh for our cruise and we did a lot less packing because of it. We did not have to do any laundry on the ship. We were in bathing suits and shorts almost the entire day. A lot of people dont want to do laundry on vacation. I find it easier all the way around. I take a scoop of my laundry detergent from home and keep it in a baggie. I do a load when it is convenient for me. It has never been a burden. I usually put a load on and we go to the pool. An hour later a move it to the dryer and go back to the pool. Then I fold it and take it back to the room and go back to the pool. It is pretty painless. It has always worked out for us. We are a family of three so it may not work for everyone.
