The last few days this has come up when searching for ADR's. I usually check in the morning and later in the evening. No times are available and it shows missing restaurant. Is this something for the F &W?

What is it? I have tried searching to see if there is a thread here.

(Off to google!)

It is a Food and Wine Festival event which is only held on Fridays during the festival. This year the dates for this are October 4, 11 and 25. It is held in the World Showplace at Epcot, not in a restaurant. You must have Epcot admission to attend.

This event will not be open for booking until August 13. You can book online if you want general admission (which means you do not get a reserved seat). If you want a reserved seat, that option exists for extra $ but it must be booked by phone.

Nm...I found it! Looks like a wonderful event! Someday I hope to get dh back to WDW in this timeframe. It was too 'hot' for him last time we did this month.

Thank you! We must have been posting at the same time!

I think I would love this...especially the special place to view Illuminations!

Someone posted in another thread about this and said the seating is for the concert series not Illuminaitons. I've never been and today is the first I'd heard of this event so I'm not sure.

Not exactly correct.

These events usually include some sort of priority concert seating for the earliest concert, BEFORE the event. I know Party for the Senses does. Not so sure about this one.

As for Illuminations, remember there is no seating; there won't be any chairs unless there happens to be a bench in the area and you are there early enough to grab it. You will be brought to a roped off area to watch it. Only guests who signed up for the event will be allowed into that area, but you do not eat there or sit there - you only go there to watch Illuminations. That area is usually at the front of the plaza between World Showcase and Future World, in between the two shops.

We went to this last year and I think we got wristbands for priority seating at the concert and I know for sure at Illuminations.

Chase sponsored the pavilion last year so I know we had two wrist bands, one for Chase and one for 3D Dessert party. I can't remember if the priority seating for the concert was just for Chase or for both but I know both were for Illuminations. Darn our luck it rained that night though so I can't comment on where the spot it.

How do you get the Chase wristband?

Assuming things in 2013 are similar to 2012, you must have a valid Chase credit card (I don't know if has to be one of the Disney ones or not). At the Chase Lounge, in the Wonders of Life pavilion, they would hand out wristbands for IllumiNations viewing and/or seating at the Eat to the Beat concert. They were separate wristbands and you could choose if you want only one or both. They only had a limited number, so it was first come, first serve.

Last year's 3D Dessert party included reserved viewing of IllumiNations only. I think it was so folks could try out the Mickey Vision glasses that you got as part of the Dessert Party. Eat to the Beat tickets would make sense because the show times are 5:00 pm, 6:45 pm, and 8:00 pm. The first two shows are for before the party starts and the last show is during the party! I doubt anyone is going to want to miss out on the desserts and drinks to go see the concert! :rotfl:

Per info put out by Chase, in 2013 the Chase Lounge will be relocated from the Festival Center at the former Wonders of Life pavilion to the American Adventure pavilion. Because it's now in the World Showcase, it won't open until 11 AM. No word on whether or not there will be wristbands for reserved viewings.

just adding that it did not have to be a Disney Visa last year, just any Chase credit card! :)
