Planning on a 2017 trip with 9-10 people or February 2017. I have stayed in plenty of 2 bedroom villas but really looking forward to a 3bdroom. Anyone have any good pointers on which is the ........?

And Aluani, VGC and beach cottages at Vero ;)

But at WDW, Jambo, GFV and 2 of 5 GV's at BWV are single floor. The others are 2 story.

Jambo adds an extra pool table room (and I think has the biggest dining room table) VGF adds a media room (that kinda doubles as a 4th bedroom)

Kidani and BLT have secondary loft living rooms that work for some with kids.

At WDW (which I presume is your desired destination), all are very good. I consider the best to be the six at AKV Jambo, which are all single story units, and the 5 BWV single story units (5 of 7 are single story not the other way around). I highly prefer the single story units and I assume VGF's are probably on the same plain as BWV and Jambo but I have not seen VGF's.The BWV unit has one of the best views on site and a huge, open combined living room, dining room and kitchen that easily holds large groups very comfortably. AKV is not as open, including because it has a room in which the pool table is in, but it is still more space than the two story living and dining room areas and it has huge balconies, view of animals, that pool table room, and a very large master bath with its own wide-screen television to watch from the whirlpool tub. I found the BLT units also very impressive for two story units, particularly for the almost two story high windows in the living room.

Owners of a resort can book 11 months out and you can easily get one in Feb at a home resort that way, except that the OKW GV's in the Near Hospitality House booking category have a risk of being gone even before 11 months out, If you will be relying on the 7 month reservation window, when DVC members can start reserving resorts other than the one they own, you will find BWV most likely gone for most of Feb, while the others should still be open with some risk otherwise for Jambo and BLT theme park view.

How important are the points since there is a huge difference? We've stayed at SSR and thought it was rather small. I didn't care for the master bedroom either. OKW and Jambo are very large. OKW has ample seating in the living room. Jambo has a very large dining room table and a pool table. The master bath is truly a 'master bath.' Parking is very easy at OKW since you park right outside your unit. There was a very long walk within the building at Jambo.

One of the two upstairs bedrooms at OKW only has two double beds in it and it is the smaller bedroom of the two.

Have only stayed in a BWV 2 story (requested the single story because we had two toddlers with us, but didn't get one). I was a wee bit disappointed initially (mostly fear for the babies on the steps) but we really loved it, and had a great time. Some of us would like to try AKL Jambo next time but not sure we can get everyone to agree. I know we will stay at Aulani some day when the babies are little bigger. I would suggest giving extra consideration to the resort you enjoy the most.

THANK YOU so much everyone. I am going to stay away from AKV. I have stayed there in a 2 bedroom and am not a fan of the distance of the resort. I am now after reading everyone's great replies looking forward to either BWV or BLT. I did not know that BWV had a two story 3bdrm, I thought they were all flats there. Now for another question does anyone know where I might get pictures of these units that guest have taken themselves?
THANK YOU

You should be able find a tour of the GV's by going to YouTube and searching for Boardwalk grand villa and Bay Lake Tower grand villa.
