You say the price from Costco looks good, but are you comparing similar things? Is Costco offering a DVC unit? Or a regular hotel room? Have you actually priced a points rental?

For Spring 2020, you're a little late with DVC point rentals. People start booking DVC units 7-11 months in advance, so you may not have your choice of dates, views, or room types. If you want to rent points, I would engage one of the brokers now. Also, be aware that point rentals typically require full payment at time of booking, you typically can't change or cancel once booked, and they do not include daily housekeeping. You do receive free parking as a renter. A package through Costco, if it is indeed for a DVC unit, would be considered a cash booking so you would have more flexibility on terms, housekeeping would be included, but you would not receive free parking.
