$37.20 P/ Day For Rental Car, Do It?

We go down to WDW generally around Spring Break, fly into Ft Lauderdale to visit my mom and then rent a car out of the airport for 5 days, driving up to WDW. Usually costs about $300-$350 or about $60-70 per day and drop off at the Dolphin. I would kill to get your rates. $32 is nothing.

We're the type who just prefer Disney transportation.

Even when we drove down last summer, we left the car permanently in the parking lot.

We do the DDP and eat onsite. We enjoy our adult beverages at dinner and don't want to have to worry about a designated driver.

So I'd be in the NO vote for car rental.

I love having a rental car in WDW. We do so many things that we would not do if we used Disney Transportation. We visit all the resorts, we go to the supermarket for food in the room, we book restaurants at certain resorts we would not book otherwise.

We have gotten used to the freedom of having a rental car and going anywhere at anytime. I dont mind Disney Transportation if we are going back and forth to a park, but we do a lot of other things, and the car makes that very easy.

I love to drive around and find everything and get a feel for how big it is in WDW.

We paid $195 for 9 days last week ($21.66/day). This was for a standard through Alamo. When we got there, we ended up with a minivan, as there were a ton of them in our row!

Another option is to try Dollar from their Lake Buena Vista location, but the rent to drop at MCO. We did this earlier this month and the Dollar at that location was MUCH cheaper. So we took DME to the resort, the next day, took the DTD bus and walked over to the DOLLAR located at Regal Sun Resort (used to the Grosvenor) - right across from the DTD bus stops. Picked up the car and returned it to MCO. I think it was about $30 day/ but everything else was over $45 day! I'd never seen such high fall rental prices

Good luck!

I would only suggets that you use the WDW transport to magic Kingdom. It usually better than driving, Tramming and monorailing as teh busses stop on the far side of the lake comparedto wher the cars can park

Alamo has a $35 off a weekly rate coupon (AD2369FDG) which is decent. I got a week mid-sized for $135 +/- or <$20 a day and I'm pretty sure I can get that rate down closer to my vacation in November. $37.20 a day is not a good rate.
