I have a friend at work that likes these type of vans. This was taken in a full hook-up site, and still has plenty of room for a tent. To answer your question, a tent site would be more than adequate for your van and a tent.

As snowmedic said (and it seems I'm always trailing behind medic these days), a tent site will work (Full sites are the same generally speaking with sewer hooks). A tent if you use one will go on the tent pad and the van can go at the end of the driveway.

This isn't my van and I have no personal experience with one.

But I like to take pix of uncommon setups when I come across them. So it will work, OP, and it can be done.

Does everyone just leave these up and use Disney transportation or bring them back down and still use the vans as usual to get around? Or mix it up a bit?

I haven't used one at the fort, but the one I've been in before would be kind of a time suck to move every morning. Would depend a lot on your camp set up probably- and my grandpa was a tinkerer so it's entirely likely it's original form was not difficult to break down before he got his paws on it.

But I'm one of those rare people who doesn't mind Disney transit not there's that aspect too.

It's really all about your setup and what you are willing to do. It sounds like the Eurovan is your "Backup", in that case it doesn't sound like it's too difficult to pack it up to go to the park (or store or whatever). Unlike an RV (Class A, B, or C) where you likely have stabliizers, electric, water, sewer hookups maybe even cable and/or decorations or an awning.... you get the idea... These would be much more of a "Time Suck" (as "westcoastwild" stated) to tear down. If the eurovan is simply a an "Extension cord" and dropping the top, it may very likely be a realistic option.

We are okay with the Disney transportation to MK (The boat) but for must other locations, we drive ourselves. Mostly because we consider alternatives as well (i.e. eating at the local restaurants at a huge savings over Disney. I know ...... ) but have used the buses to the other parks as well. Again, I usually plan an HOUR of travel to which ever park I am going to regardless if I am using Disney transportation or my own.

That would do Great in the 1500 tent loop that was by our 1600 full hookup loop we were in last month. I would definitely opt for that loop and forget paying more for the full hookup. We cut through that tent loop through the bathroom/showers/laundry to get to the pool and Meadows, a really prime location in the campground, probably as close as the very best Premium sites in the campground, really nice sites. Have fun! Wish I was still there!

Just wondering if a tent site would be adequate for a VW Eurovan with a pop top and still use a good sized tent. (For those who don't know, a Eurovan isn't much larger than a regular minivan and don't dump sewage. They also expand only upwards).

Would also just love to hear from from someone who has used a Eurovan in general. We are thinking about borrowings my parents' from them rather than just using our regular minivan and setting up a big Coleman instant tent, but would like the Eurovan as backup. If you did use it, do you also use it to drive to the parks or just take Disney transportation?

We owned three of those at various times within our first 10 years of marriage. Our first two were like the pp's pictures (same colors), the last one had a 'full' raised top. We loved them, but never drove them to the parks. We don't now either - take Disney transportation everywhere. Have a motorhome now, but FW is the one place we do not tow a vehicle - prefer to relax and leave the driving to Disney!!

Would fit perfectly on a tent site.

They are really cool- we do have a plan for a cross-country road trip in the near future. My parents insisted we borrow it for that. How could we pass it up? (One of our kids has a book about a cross country trip and the illustrated animal whose family is on said trip totally has the same Eurovan in the same color in the drawing at the Grand Canyon, it's a sign!)

It IS a sign - DO IT. A family photo at the Grand Canyon with the book pointing at the camera open to the same page would be epic.
