........

I think you could probably find a better deal than that. If you WERE wiling to stay in a 1-BR condo (there are four of you, right?), you could get one at Summer Bay withOUT the timeshare presentation for $69/night, that equals $276, comparable to your cost. Check out the Orlando Magicard, there are some good deals. I don't think you always get the best deal doing the presentation. Remember, too, that that eats one of your mornings. It would be a shame to sign up with one of those awful tours when you can get the same deal without one! If you do need a 2BR condo, that is $89/night. Their "off" and "on" seasons are different from the Magicard when you call them, but if you go through the Magicard you can get the Magicard dates, which have a more generous "off" season. Hope that makes sense! If not, let me know! You can read a recent trip report from Chach on Summer Bay...we are staying there for the first time in May. Good luck!

I know what you mean...seemed too good to be true to me, too. The regular rate on our 3 BR was $390, we got it for $119. I think they just have a great deal going through the Magicard right now, which from what I understand has different deals every couple of months. And like I said, there is a little discrepancy with the timing, I did wind up speaking to a manager, but got everything cleared up beautifully. We are going in May...Summer Bay at first said that they considered anything Feb to Sept "on" season" but the Magicard had different times. They WILL agree to the Magicard dates, I guess theirs are just different for people who just call up cold for a reservation without prior knowledge of the deal. It does look beautiful, and but for the war in Iraq we are VERY excited about going!

I have a timeshare at vistana this July for the same price. The only difference is that we are staying at the resort in a 2 bed 2 bath villa. We are also getting $100 in gift certificates for tickets or dinner. I got the deal through Timeshare User's Group.

I think it would be pretty easy to get a better deal, quite honestly. Have you tried Sky Auction? I got a week timeshare through them in Dec for $250 (approx) And no tour was required. If you are willing to do a tour, you could also check out Hotel Kingdom as they list some rock bottom prices for timeshares with a required tour.

As far as Vistana V goes, I have heard that their tour is quite low pressure.

Hotel Kingdom does have great rates. They didn't have Vistana at the time that I booked. I had also heard about Sky Auction they have good deals listed also.

I don't quite get why the Vistana would give you a great rate at the Caribe Royale. We stayed at the Villages in Nov. but passed on their sales presentation - vac. time just to valuable to us. However, we did find that their offers are negotiable as throughout our 2 week stay, the offer just kept getting better. Before you book, why not try contacting the sales dept. at the Villages to see if you can get a better deal.
