...

On rare occasions I've seen similar things with someone being left out, never anyone being hidden. And I also have to say that the places I've seen this are in SMALL COMPANIES! With the exception of one from my past, I won't work for them. Whatever happened with the hospital MR job, C.Ann? Didn't want it?

Good luck with the job hunt! I may be joining the ranks in searching for something part time.

Ahhh...that gut feeling and the little voice within. How often have we ignored it? I've done the same. Ignored my gut feeling and then usually a good amount of time later thought...I should have listened to that gut feeling! Good for you, C.Ann! You're right, it will take time, but the right job will come along. I know it can be tough hanging in there in the mean time. Office politics. :rolleyes: I'll keep you in thoughts and prayers that the right job becomes available soon!

Best of luck to you C.Ann! I coudn't imagine working in a place like that. Definitely double standards and things that are just plain NOT RIGHT going on there. And I can understand not taking a job because in your gut it doesn't feel right. I hope you find something good soon! {{hugs}}

I have dealt with a supervisor like this on only one occasion and it was with my last job. She would allow one person to basically do anything she pleased. Then turn around an berate one of use for doing the same thing that she did! She also enjoyed trying to pit us against each other.

What really gets to me is that this "Nancy" is a very nice woman.. A little on the quiet side and a bit more reserved than the other two, but I can see NO reason for them to have such a strong dislike for her.. On several occasions they had tried to drag me into their "fun" when they were saying mean things about her when she was out of the office - or worse yet, talking in "code" about her while she's sitting right there - but I refuse to be a part of it..

If people are like this everywhere, I can see I'm going to have a REAL hard time for the next 12 years..:(

Unfortunately, people like that seem to derive some sick pleasure from belittling people like Nancy. Usually, they are so insecure in themselves that it makes them feel better to do it. Kudos to you for refusing to join in their sick little game. Unfortunately, the last boss and I butted heads a few times. I am outspoken sometimes and will say so if something displeases me. She hated that "quality" in me. She learned she couldn't push me around. That if she pushed, I pushed back. Needless to say, I don't miss her one bit!

What an unpleasant work place you have, C.Ann. I would have to wonder if they weren't gossiping about me when I wasn't there if they gossip about this coworker of yours.

Some people are just petty and vicious and these women sound like bullies.

I hope you find the perfect job soon, sweetie.

I don't think I'd like that situation one bit. I've seen this go on before and didn't partake in any of it. Good luck in your job search. I commend you for sticking to your morals. :D

I think it is great that you don't want to be a part of that company any longer. Good luck on your job hunt. Just think how miserable Nancy may be feeling.
