...............................

I have a cube, and live in a cube farm. Have never had an office, but I have had a desk in a hallway, with no cube walls, so this is pretty nice.

I do appreciate the whole Rat in a Cage thing, and the people who stop outside my cube, and have a conversation that does not involve me, nor interest me... Grrrrrr that's my cube farm pet peeve

I would love an office.

I have a cube as well. I've always only had one so I don't mind it too terribly much. I would love to have an office though someday :)

I have a cube. 7 foot tall walls. It can be isolating, but I sit near the cough machine so I am reminded that I am not alone.

my cube "door" faces a window, which is nice... Even if it is a view of the parking lot.

I have an office with two large windows overlooking the local airport. I can watch planes/jets takeoff and land. Every once in awhile a Black Hawk Helicopter will practice touchdowns.

i have an office and definately prefer it.

Cube, and since I started work here; the powers that be have made me move only 5 times.
DH started working here about 6 months before I did, and he also has a cube. However, they've never asked him to relocate.

*sigh*

I have an office and enjoy it. I can leave the door open and be available to anyone that wants to stop by. When I am with parents or school systems I have the privacy needed for delicate conversations. It works for me.:D

started in a cube the moved up to an office 6 years ago. Although I've sat in 6 different offices so far:rolleyes:  and the one I'm in now has NO windows. But I'd rather be in the office though.

<font color=navy>I've had my own office, as admin assistant, since 1988. Last August, I was promoted to planner, and now I share a two-man cubicle.

Having an office was pretty darn nice, and I could close the door when I wanted to.... Working in a cubicle took a little getting used to, but I think I like it. I'm so busy running around that it's rare I'm there a full day, and I found that I interact with the people around me a lot more. The day certainly goes by a lot quicker w/me working in a cube!! :)

I have a cubicle/office combo. :) When you walk in to our main office (I work at an Elizabeth Arden Spa, so our "office space" is a room off the treatment area hallway), it is just like one large office. Our General Manager has her own seperate office within the larger office, but everyone else has a desk with walls around it. So, it's a cubicle within an office. Make sense? :)

And it is the largest one in the office - because I am the office manager! We were remodeling, and when it came time to make my cube bigger, the file cabinets that surround my space couldn''t be moved, so instead of getting a 1.5 times larger area, I got double. And no one sits near me except one of my clerks, so its quite nice. People used to just walk right up behind me, but now they wait at the wall, it's a lot more private, which is the opposite of what you would think. I shared an office with someone once, no fun, and once I had a cube that had a door to one of the balconies on the building, that was nice, too.

"I've had an office and I've had a cube. Believe me, office is better"

With apologies to Mae West..
